Update from the Author who has written over 400 chapters of this fic.
If you are a new reader, allow me to caution you about two things.
First, the MC, Adam, will be very eager for sex in the starting few arcs because he had spent over 8k years in a world full of futas, all of whom have tried to rape him at one point.
Second, the Tsunade Arc. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that most of the vocal readers hated this arc and left because of it.
The reason for that was in the execution. Lemme explain this in a bit more detail.
This fic is about a man who becomes a god and operates a Wish Shop; he grants wishes in exchange for S*x. The starting clients are all ok with this exchange because of their own moral, racial, or biological standards.
Tsunade's arc was a bit of a switch-up and a way to challenge the established system, because everyone has a different opinion on a price.
Tsunade had just seen her fiancé die, and to save him, she needed to give her purity to someone else. She wasn't happy about that, but paired with her anger at the way Dan died and that this was the only way to save him, Adam, the MC, just happened to be on the receiving end of that.
At this point in the story, Adam's mind had shifted from just sex, and he wanted a proper relationship. But seeing that he might actually be doing a proper loving couple wrong because of the contract and shop he has to operate, he understands Tsunade's anger and stays patient with her.
This part was what most readers found annoying and called it useless drama. And truthfully, I don't really blame them. I could've just kept this as Adam being a horny guy who gets the women, but I wanted to develop him further as a character.I just chose the wrong path for a story that was on Webnovel.
You can probably see how annoyed the readers are in other reviews or even in the comments, and the crux of that all is the Tsunade arc since the contract was made and things progressed with her anger not changing until the end.
Many leaving readers wanted the MC to just throw Tsunade out of the shop or put her in her place. Well, Adam wanted to help her return to the love she had and helped her in the end; that made him question the shop and its implications, which made him further think on his goal in life and what he really wanted.
Now, could I have written that arc better? Yes. Could I have been smart and accepted what the readers got from the writing and not argued with them? Yes. But well, I did argue a lot back then, trying to get them to see the development that followed and what I had in mind while writing.
However, it was much later that I learned you cannot force what a reader picks up from your writing; that is up to them. I am even embarrassed at how I acted back then.
So yeah, I am putting this out in advance so the new readers don't waste their time reaching the 80th chapter for the confirmation. I cannot force what you will pick up from the chapter, but I hope you get it from this review instead of reaching the arc and then quit.
And if you still wish to read, you can skip the Tsunade arc or just read through it, because I have not heard complaints about any other arcs I have done so far in the story, even at 400+ chapters.
Mei Mei arc was a bit controversial, but it wasn't that big of a problem compared to Tsunade.
You might find the MC a bit disagreeable for the first 100 chapters, but past that it's smooth sailing as he gets the development and is fully stable in his role and what he wants.
