Scarlett's POV
My inner bear is going crazy with excitement when she hears our mate call unto us. It's as if all the strength that was lost has come back. I close my eyes and try to connect with the lovely voice of my mate, but just as it comes, it's gone, leaving me with a sullen mood, but not for long. His voice was soothing. A smile makes its way onto my face, and I exhale. I need to hold on a little longer. In a week or so, the spies we sent to the camps will come back with news. I instructed them to target their leaders who can persuade the people to join our fight, and General Mikko is working to determine the number of rogues and witches. It won't be easy to take back my pack, and it will take weeks or even months, but we'll do it. Knowing that my mate is out there gives me the strength to persevere.
I lay on the bed as the voice repeats in my head.
