After breakfast, I went to my room, thinking about what happened in the dining area. A smile makes a way on my lips when I think of how kind Queen Anaiah was to me, Despite our different statuses, she was gracious and even low-key embarrassed Bailey who always wanted to be the center of attention.
And my mate, oh my mate. He's so thoughtful and nice, he kept asking if I was alright while we ate and tried to involve me in their conversation. The king is another story, he wasn't vexed but he wasn't too friendly either, he has an intimidating aura that makes him unapproachable, like ice or fire different from his mate. Queen Anaiah nullifies his aura and makes it calm.
The door to my room opens and I immediately get on my feet, bowing my head low to Queen Anaiah.
