Leondre's POV
We have been in the Silver Moon pack for days, during which Potter has tried twice to kill Rhea Alveraz. First was food poisoning, and the other was when he sent someone to stab her; both times, she survived. The Alpha council discussed the issue and decided that they should duel for the leadership position. Initially, we wanted Rhea to leave the pack and join the royal pack, given her mated status to Dan. Still, she's adamant about not leaving her father's pack and getting it back from the clutches of Juan Potter. After a thorough investigation, we discovered that Alpha Potter mistreats members and denies services to long-standing members of the pack, accusing them of disloyalty.
Rhea has elders who are loyal to her family's name and will stand by her.
"Hi, baby," greets my lovely mate as she walks into the room. She and Rhea have been training hard, and she says she's quite an impressive fighter.
"Hi, my love, how was training today?"
