"Far~fetch'd!"
Having gone through countless battles doesn't necessarily mean one must always win, failure can also bring rich experience. That's why the light of evolution didn't shine on just one Farfetch'd, but enveloped both Farfetch'd at the same time.
The two newly evolved Sirfetch'd exchanged glances, readjusted their stances, and lightly tapped the leek blades in their hands together, completing a ritual gesture, before resuming their battle.
"Far~fetch'd!!"
The Sirfetch'd that had previously lost raised its shield to block the other Sirfetch'd's thrust. A dark stain had appeared on the green leek shield, not from a move, but from the power of Haki.
Haki has never been exclusive to humans; any intelligent lifeform has the potential to train in Haki, including not just human subspecies, but also various types of animals.
Alabasta's Kung-Fu Dugong, Ferren from the Millennial Dragon, and the Inteleon-form Elizabeth have all learned Haki. As a Fighting-type, Sirfetch'd and Galarian Farfetch'd naturally had learned it as well.
"Far~fetch'd, Far~fetch'd!"
Seeing its leek blade blocked, the other Sirfetch'd didn't hold back either. It wrapped the tip of its leek blade in Haki and launched a new round of attacks. The same power now became a clash between spear and shield, and for a moment, the two Sirfetch'd were evenly matched.
Judging by the intensity of their current battle, it wouldn't be easy to decide a winner again; after all, they were taught by the same master, and neither could break through the other's techniques.
Galarian Farfetch'd had already split into various schools of style depending on how they wielded their leeks. With additional training, these styles became even more complex.
Both of these Sirfetch'd followed a style taught by Hyogoro: the renowned Armament Haki Crash Course Instructor from Wano Country.
As he grew older, Hyogoro didn't want to remain idle, so he went ahead and opened a kendo dojo in Wano Country to pass on his skills and train the next generation.
"Armament Haki Crash Course Instructor" is a joke, referring to how, in the original timeline, Hyogoro managed to teach Luffy advanced Armament Haki despite being extremely old.
Though he doesn't run a crash course now, many still come to Hyogoro for advanced Armament Haki training. Among Wano Country locals, he's considered an authority on this subject.
"Seriously, I never thought the day would come when I'd be teaching a bunch of ducks how to swordfight."
Watching the Farfetch'd train in the dojo, Hyogoro momentarily didn't know what to say as most people couldn't match the dedication of these ducks.
Their body structure differs from humans, yet by mimicking his moves, they developed their own unique styles.
"You'll get used to it, Uncle Hyogoro. Isn't Wano Country full of similar things like this? That judo dojo over there even hired a few Machamp as sparring partners."
"Boy, you've got the nerve to talk! I don't keep an eye on you for a little while, and you start slacking off again! You're falling behind!"
Hyogoro picked up a bamboo stick and smacked Kojiro on the head, urging him to continue his training diligently.
"You can't compare everyone equally. My energy is limited too. I'm not like these Farfetch'd, who don't have to worry about anything else and just train all day.
I'm heading out now, Uncle Hyogoro. You've got some student recruiting to do, don't you?"
Seeing that Hyogoro's firepower had shifted back to him, Kojiro used an excuse to slip out of the dojo. Not long after, he returned to his residence in the Flower Capital.
The gate was no different from those of other residences, except for one very strange sign.
On his gate was posted an image of a Tinkaton, with a large red X drawn over it. Simply put, Tinkaton were not welcome here. Bisharp living in this place forbade Tinkaton from setting foot here.
These two species were natural enemies. Even though they don't fight to the death since they live alongside Arceus, they still scheme against and remain wary of each other in their daily lives.
Of course, most of the time it was the Bisharp guarding against the Tinkaton. In their eyes, these pink hammer-wielding creatures were extremely unfriendly and always seemed to want to knock something off of them.
To the Tinkaton, however, it was the Bisharp who were too stingy. They were unwilling to voluntarily offer even a little bit of forging material.
After Kojiro left, Hyogoro began evaluating the newly registered youngsters. The Sirfetch'd and Farfetch'd, having finished their training, began traveling together back to Kuri, where the leek fields were their favorite place.
While in one nearby residence, a bored Bewear remained, playing with ants using a tree branch. Beside it floated Perona's ghost form.
Her real body was currently resting in the basement. Using her spirit to move around freely was not just training her Devil Fruit ability, it was also a way to laze around.
"It's unusually quiet in broad daylight. I'm not used to it. I hope everything's going smoothly for them."
"Be~wear."
Bewear drew a circle on the ground, but accidentally peeled up an entire patch of earth.
Setsuna was currently working on Zou Island. Normally, this would be the time of day when Meowna and Wolff were playing around, but the residence was unusually quiet. Neither of them could be found anywhere in Wano Country.
That was because they weren't here at all; they had been taken away by Zeraora.
Just as they had said before, Zeraora had already taken them out to see the wider world beyond the sea. Right now, they weren't even in the New World. They had crossed the Calm Belt and arrived in West Blue, searching for suitable opponents to train with.
They were still young, but their strength was more than enough to handle pirates in the first half of the Grand Line. Even pirates who had just entered the New World would find it hard to take them on. Starting in the Four Seas was simply Zeraora being overly cautious.
And the result of his excessive caution was that some pirates who had just set out to sea had really bad luck.
West Blue, on an unnamed island, in the middle of some ruined remains, several pirates were cautiously watching the surrounding forest, as if some man-eating beast lived within.
Jingle~ jingle~
A series of chimes reached the pirates' ears. The clear, pleasant sound was beautiful to hear, but to these pirates, it was the death knell rung by the Reaper.
A wave of scorching flames surged in with the sound, and a red-and-white beastman youth burst out of the forest. Because of his fur color, Wolff, when transformed, happened to resemble a Shiny Torracat.
Both the flames and the chimes were his doing.
Around his neck was something resembling a bell. It wasn't a decorative item, but a special organ belonging to Torracat.
This bell was actually a fire pouch that generated fire. The temperature of the fire pouch would rise along with Torracat's emotions, while producing a sound as loud and clear as a bell.
The louder the bell rang, the more intense his fighting spirit, and the higher the temperature of the flames.
