They are not just pirates; they are pirates even stronger than those from Fullalead. It's just that they have their own rules, and all the direct subordinates under these senior officers are well aware of the deterrent power of the crew's rules, so they only act within those boundaries.
As he spoke, that pirate transformed into a bear-human. With his huge bear paw, he slapped the wall beside him, trying to prove what he just said. The result of doing so was that he directly smashed down that wall.
"What the hell kind of crappy wall is this? If the walls on Onigashima were this low quality, Lord Queen would beat someone to death."
"Alright, don't you already know what kind of person Lord Queen is? Even cannon fire might not leave much of a mark on Onigashima's walls. How could this wall be built like them? Let's just get on with the real task."
But before they could do anything, the person who had hired the Beasts Pirates made a new suggestion.
"Lords, I'll cover this payment. But it will be delivered together with the commission once we return, would that be acceptable?"
"Of course it is. Since you're the client, we'll agree to such a small request.
Oh right, as you requested, Lord Jack has already charged into Fullalead's central region. Judging by the time, he should be just about done. Do you want to go take a look?"
"No need, I trust in your abilities. Let's leave here quickly."
"Alright, but just to take a few minutes of your time, I'd like to recommend our escort service. Anywhere you want to go in the New World, we can provide escort. Sure, the price is a bit high, but we guarantee your safety.
These days, there are more and more pirates out at sea. In the New World, our name is even more useful than a warship."
That pirate was still in his bear-human form, but it didn't stop him from wholeheartedly promoting his crew's services.
"Next time, maybe next time."
While brushing off the Beasts Pirates' pirate, the client of this mission also brought out the others. He wasn't doing this to play the good guy, but to build some rapport with those who had "served time" with him, to help his future career.
"Alright, some of you take them back to the ship. The rest of you, come with me to check on that Red Flag kid. It's not good to let him fight all by himself for too long."
Originally, they were supposed to escort the people to a safe location, but as they neared the port, a Marine warship appeared in sight, which made those who were incidentally rescued to have other thoughts.
They didn't want to board the pirate ship and instead chose to wait where they were. The Marines were still far more trustworthy than pirates.
The Beasts Pirates didn't interfere with this group of people; they simply regrouped with their own unit. The rest of the SWORD squad also left the plaza, and near the port, they found the rescue targets of this mission, whom they brought back to the warship.
Koby returned a bit later than the others, but when he got back to the ship, he was carrying a large bag full of still-beating hearts.
"Koby, what happened to your chest?!"
Helmeppo panicked a bit when he saw the hole in Koby's chest. According to human logic, someone with a gaping hole in their chest shouldn't still be alive.
"It's fine. I ran into Law of the Heart Pirates, he…"
Koby briefly explained the earlier events to Helmeppo. The two had joined the Marines together and trained under Garp. Though they were not particularly strong, they were very close comrades.
"We should at least report this to Vice Admiral Garp. He wouldn't ignore something like this."
"Let's wait until we get back…"
Koby and Helmeppo were discussing follow-up plans in the cabin, while outside, the rescue target they had "picked up" was raging.
"Why didn't you attack?! That was a pirate ship! Are you Marines useless?! When we get back, I'll definitely have my uncle file a complaint against you!"
Watching the Beasts Pirates' ship depart, this noble's relative was extremely displeased and kept complaining to the Marines. However, the Marines chose to ignore him completely. No matter what he said, they simply acted like he didn't exist.
But this didn't make him stop; instead, he intensified his criticism of the Marines.
After a while, ordinary Marine soldiers could still endure it, but Kujaku's patience had reached its limit.
"Shut up! The Marines don't need you to dictate our actions!"
Her whip struck the floor, and the shattered deck made him choose to keep quiet. This was exactly what the commanding officer of the warship had been waiting for.
He couldn't afford to provoke a relative of a World Noble, but others could. People from SWORD weren't afraid of them. Once their patience wore thin, someone would naturally shut him up.
"Latest intel: the leader of that ship is a newly promoted 'Calamity' of the Beasts Pirates. As a senior officer under Kaido, engaging him would be seen as a declaration of war. Now is not the time for war. If you insist, should I arrange a ship for you to go talk to him yourself?"
SWORD had the authority to start battles freely, but if things got out of hand, they would have to clean up the mess themselves. These people weren't foolish, they wouldn't take such a risk recklessly. They were well aware of the strength gap between them and the enemy.
"I-I want to file a complaint against you!"
"Go ahead. But for now, shut up, or the next whip will land on you."
Using one brat to deal with another, the warship temporarily returned to peace.
Meanwhile, on Jack's ship, the Steel Mammoth, the ordinary pirates were celebrating victory as usual. But in the cabin, Jack was not very pleased. He had already seen the photos taken by Alcremie.
"That b*stard…"
Jack clenched his fists tightly, then saw Alcremie had already brought over the Rotom Phone.
"You're saying we should let Boss Kaido and the others decide?"
"Alc~remie"
"Makes sense."
Following Alcremie's suggestion, the intel about the undercover agent was sent back to Onigashima, and the one who blew up with anger changed from Jack to Queen.
"Damn it! Is there something wrong with these people? If it's not CP0, it's the Marines. Must they keep slipping people in?"
Out of concern for his own safety, Queen had always been cracking down hard on domestic security issues. The possible infiltration of outside spies was a top priority. Based on the current situation, Onigashima didn't seem to have any other spies infiltrated.
But Drake's appearance shattered Queen's comfort zone, and a sense of crisis once again clouded his heart.
"Lord Arceus, how do you think we should deal with this guy?"
"Keep him. Having a confirmed undercover agent actually makes some things easier."
"A spy with a known identity is much more useful than an unknown one. You can use his mouth to relay the messages you want sent. You can make him do some dirty, difficult tasks. Squeeze every last bit of value from this undercover agent.
If they sent one, there will be a second. It's always better to find them than not to."
