Beautifly has two main training directions.
One is the top-tier technique that has been perfected and sublimated through its growth, centered around Air Currents Control - Wind Domain.
This was the chuunibyou-style name that Terrance gave to Beautifly's top-tier technique afterward.
The kind of absolute mastery and control over air currents that can be described as "the power of perception" is not at all an exaggeration to call it an Elite Four-level top-tier technique.
This technique, which amazed a number of top Top Trainers at the Super Festival, has not yet been fully mastered by Beautifly in its normal state.
As for the second training direction, it's the stamina recovery technique that Terrance picked up again - Source of Stamina.
This technique, which Terrance also considers to be of top-tier value, if Beautifly can master it, then when combined with the extremely stamina-consuming "Wind Domain," the synergy of these two techniques might exceed the value of even the top-tier techniques.
The difficulty of the second technique lies in the reverse manipulation of totem aura, mobilizing light energy in conjunction with Morning Sun and Giga Drain to plunder stamina. Currently, Beautifly is still exploring this.
Once these two top-tier techniques are mastered, Terrance believes that Beautifly, cloaked in totem aura, will not be inferior to the main Pokémon of most Elite Four-level Top Trainers!!
To raise Beautifly to the Elite Four level, these two techniques are the foundation that Terrance will rely upon!
As for Altaria, the main focus currently is the "mysterious aura of Fairy energy color", a fusion mutation born from "totem aura" and "Mega Evolution."
Through the Rotom Pokédex's research, Terrance had already confirmed the scientific name of this new Ability of Mega Altaria in this timeline.
Pixilate: Converts Normal-type moves into Fairy-type, and slightly increases their power.
Upon learning this, Terrance discovered that the "mysterious aura of Fairy energy color" created by the fusion of "totem aura" and "Mega Evolution" also boosts the power of Fairy-type moves to a considerable degree.
This effect is far beyond what can be described as a "slight increase" from Pixilate. Terrance had conducted experiments with Altaria and Rotom Pokédex to test it.
If Pixilate can boost Altaria's Fairy-type moves by 20%, that is, increasing their power by one-fifth…
Then this "mysterious aura of Fairy energy color" can boost the power of Fairy-type moves by at least one-third!
This is why Terrance concluded that the future developmental path for Mega Altaria is not the Dragon-type talent bestowed by Master Victor, but rather the Fairy-type.
Therefore, Altaria's current main training direction is mastering Fairy-type moves, perfecting the use of the Pixilate Ability, and further understanding the mutated totem aura that Terrance calls the "Fairy Aura."
Altaria's normal strength may not be at the level of the main Pokemon of an Elite Four, but the gap shouldn't be too great. Once the totem aura is activated, it can already put up a fight against them. As for completing Mega Evolution and unleashing Fairy-type moves under the Fairy Aura, even against some ace Pokemon of Elite Four, Terrance and Mega Altaria are confident they can compete head-on.
It must be said, the title of Altaria being Terrance's strongest Pokémon is not something that any other Pokémon can shake.
Next up is Mismagius, who briefly possessed Elite Four-level combat strength during the festival. Although it was only for a moment, it allowed Mismagius to gain insight into how to digest the fear energy hidden within its body and transform it into potential.
After mastering totem aura, Mismagius's speed in digesting this potential has significantly increased. Terrance speculates that it might take a few days, maybe a week or two, but no more than a month before Mismagius fully masters this power and completely converts the resources of Nightmare Island into its own strength.
At that time, Mismagius will fully reach the Elite Four level, and with a bizarre and unpredictable fighting style at that!
As Mismagius's strength grows, its illusion skill will also become more terrifying. Moreover, when illusion skill is combined with totem aura, it seems to create an even stronger intimidation effect. Recently, Terrance has been having Mismagius focus on training in this area as well.
Digesting the potential transformed from fear energy and coordinating totem aura with illusion skill. This is Mismagius's main training task now.
As for Arcanine, it was the first Pokémon that Terrance included in his totem aura plan. Its physique had already reached a formidable level long ago. But this type of pure physical enhancement is also the hardest. It requires long-term accumulation and a massive supply of nutrients.
In its Totem Arcanine state, its maximum offensive power and speed are close to the Elite Four level. Totem aura can give Arcanine a significant boost, but this still isn't enough to satisfy Terrance.
The Macho Brace that was obtained from the Battle Tower can no longer keep up with Arcanine's current growth. Terrance was preparing to find time to order a more "violent" training device to suit Arcanine's tastes.
Arcanine's mastery over Outrage is now nearly perfect. At present, Terrance's main focus is on Arcanine's physical potential.
Physical potential, or what Terrance had long been planning as the "Giant Beast Strategy," involved raising his Arcanine to reach "giant form."
Only an enormous and powerful body can support even greater strength.
He didn't find a training method in the 'four years ago' timeline. Now, Terrance plans to search for it here.
If successful, Totem Arcanine might become a ferocious giant beast so fearsome that even Top Trainers' Pokémon would dread facing it.
As for Castform, its resources surpass even those of Beautifly.
If Beautifly is expected to eventually master two top-tier techniques, then Castform's mastery of the four moves—Rain Dance, Hail, Sunny Day, and Sandstorm—means that each of these moves can serve as the core of an individual tactic, and their value is absolutely on par with top-tier techniques.
As a Trainer, the most valuable assets Terrance possesses, aside from the totem aura technology, are his top-level training methods for the four weather moves.
Currently, Castform has mastered these four weather moves through top-tier training methods. One could say that if it utilizes the right environment, for example, using Rain Dance on the ocean, its strength would be no less than the main Pokemon of most Top Trainers!
Of course, if it's just on a standard battle field, Castform still needs to further refine these weather moves. After all, the four top-tier training methods are still very new, and Castform has only just become proficient in them. It's not yet able to utilize them perfectly.
As Terrance continues to invest resources in Castform, it's certain that Castform will become a powerful Pokémon capable of standing on its own, freely adapting to any opponent or harsh environment.
Castform's training goals are also very clear.
Finally, there's Gallade, whose training revolves around the core move "Teleport". Calm Mind is used to enhance Teleport, while its other moves are built upon its basic slashing techniques and also carry considerable power.
Moreover, Gallade's two strongest slashing techniques—Iai Technique and Splitting Waterfall—are special moves that maximize the power of its slashes. Perfectly integrating Teleport with these two special techniques, and organizing all of its current slashing moves into a systematic sword style, is Gallade's current top priority.
In addition, Gallade received a privilege that none of Terrance's other Pokémon, except Altaria, enjoyed: being a candidate for his next Mega Evolution. When Gallade can integrate its current learning and synthesize its disparate systems, combined with its totem aura, its power will not be inferior to that of a Top Trainer's main Pokémon. This process of summarization and integration is Terrance's test for Gallade after its change in mindset.
Once Gallade succeeds, it will mark the moment of its further ascension. At that time, with Mega Evolution, its strength will undergo a revolutionary transformation.
"We've still got a lot of work to do..." Browsing through his six Pokémon's Individual Values and training directions displayed on the Rotom Pokédex, Terrance let out a sigh.
He was... already within arm's reach of the Top Trainers. Perhaps, before he even turned sixteen, he could step into the ranks of the Top Trainers.
