Heavenly tribulations aren't uncommon in the world. When lightning strikes, cultivators would rather assume it's some sort of tribulation rather than natural lightning.
Most heavenly tribulations cultivators have seen are similar to natural lightning. A few bolts of lightning from normal black clouds are considered normal tribulation.
However, some tribulations are extraordinary. While some tribulations were like blessings from heaven, harbringing great omens, some were terrifying, akin to a death sentence.
Among various tribulations, there was the Five Elemental Heavenly Tribulation. It contains the essence of the five elements, which are the basic blocks of the world.
Usually, such tribulations could be triggered only by some supreme treasures of the five elements, which go beyond the threshold of power.
However, even then, most of the time, it's a standalone tribulation, rather than a part of a chain of tribulations.
