Chapter 7 - [Obtain Time-Pause Attribute?]

A holographic screen shimmered before Zeltron's eyes—the attribute picking system interface, visible only to him.

Two primary types of attributes were displayed:

-Combat Power Attribute: After battles, residual power levels left by defeated enemies were absorbed automatically, intuitively boosting Zeltron's combat power.

-Ability Attribute: Special combat techniques and skills used by fighters sometimes dropped as rare loot—abilities like Kamehameha, Instant Transmission, or Time Pause.

Though Zeltron had collected many abilities, most remained unused; some, like destructive energy balls capable of devastating planets such as Namek, were flashy but not to his taste. Unlike Frieza's fondness for "fireworks," Zeltron valued practicality.

The system guaranteed a 100% drop rate for combat power attributes, but ability attributes dropped randomly with roughly a one-fifth chance, much like treasure drops in games. For example, when Guldo used his [Light Eye] ability moments ago, the attribute did not drop that time, but repeated uses increased Zeltron's chances.

'Right now, I want Guldo's [Time Pause] skill,' Zeltron thought, 'though it might not drop immediately. If it doesn't, I'll have no choice but to drag Guldo around and make him use it repeatedly until the system yields the attribute.'

'Knowing this system, it'll probably complain: "Bah, shameless!"' he mused with a faint smile.

High above the battlefield, Jeice and Burter grumbled:

"Does Guldo even know the stakes? Of all times, and he's still messing around with these fools."

"Let him play for now," Burter replied. "As long as this Saiyan doesn't move, Guldo can do whatever he wishes."

After Krillin had rescued Son Gohan, the boy exhaled quietly. "Saved just in time!"

Krillin glanced at Zeltron and, seeing no intention of interference, nodded to Gohan.

Suddenly, Son Gohan and Krillin erupted in an aura of power, their bodies enveloped in shimmering energy as they charged toward Guldo.

"So fast!" Toss, standing behind Zeltron, watched intently, a flicker of awe on his youthful face.

'That kid looks about my age, right?' he thought.

Rapp noticed Toss's expression and teased, "Yeah, Gohan's only five now but already leagues stronger than you."

Toss clenched his fists in frustration. 'His fighting power is definitely higher than mine.'

Rapp's smirk froze as Toss's words hit home.

Zeltron paid no mind to their rivalry, focusing instead on the clash between Guldo, Son Gohan, and Krillin.

Thanks to their awakened potential, Son Gohan and Krillin's speed had soared dramatically.

"So fast!"

Guldo's expression twisted in alarm as he hurried to evade them.

[Time Pause]

Abruptly, Guldo held his breath, activating his signature time suspension ability.

Son Gohan and Krillin, caught mid-charge, froze utterly—like a movie paused on screen.

'Okay… is this close enough?' Guldo thought.

When time resumed, he realized just how close his opponents had come—and panic surged.

He instinctively darted away but stopped abruptly, remembering he was on home turf.

'Why run? I don't need to run!'

[Golden Binding]

Calming himself, Guldo spread his arms and activated a binding technique, reinforcing his defense.

Moments later, the time suspension lifted; the world snapped back into motion.

DING!

A mechanical beep echoed in Zeltron's mind.

"Congratulations, host! Attribute [Time Pause] acquired!"

Zeltron's eyes widened in shock and delight.

'What? I actually got the Time Pause attribute?'

From a divine perspective, it was seamless: Guldo's use of [Time Pause] triggered an attribute drop, and Zeltron instantly absorbed it.

For Zeltron, it felt surreal—during the paused time his own senses were frozen, unable to perceive the activation except by comparing before and after positions.

'My luck has exploded. The [Time Pause] skill is mine now,' he thought, steadying his resolve.

"Host, have you accepted the [Time Pause] attribute?" the system queried.

"Accepted," Zeltron replied .
