Chapter 2 - Fear of Death.

(Day 2)

"Note to self, Sleeping on a branch will lead to severe back aches and chronic back pain." I looked around me glad that I hadn't been mauled by whatever was in the forest.

I quickly climbed down from the huge tree that had been my abode for the night. Scanning the area I deemed there was nothing in the area. And thus I could start my plan.

I began walking around the forest, the sunlight slipping through the space between the leaves and I marveled at the picturesque scene in front of me.

Quickly snapping out of it after realizing I had been distracted once again. I quickly tidied myself up and tried to find the position of the sun.

"8 hours give or take, hopefully that's enough time for me to find some sort of food or hopefully civilization."

I kept on walking for hours and to my surprise I heard what seemed to be water flowing. My heart began to pound excitedly as I thought this might be my chance out of here. I ran towards the sound as it got louder and louder and as I finally got out of that large expanse of trees I graced upon a huge lake and thus my course had begun towards civilization and I began to march towards my new horizon and future.

(Day 3)

I realized I need some form of sustenance that can suffice me till I leave this forest and there has been something bothering me for a while, Due to Rick's intelligence I am more perceptive of things and the world in general I can easily analyzes this and solve complex problems quite easily and it also seems like my memory got a much needed upgrade.

I managed to build a tent from the few videos I had watched previously before I got transported to wherever the hell this is.

I will survive and escape wherever this is. I will find whoever did this and make them pay.

(Day 4)

Shit, shit just my luck. I am about to die. From wolves nonetheless.

I looked around me surrounded by 5 wolves, they blocked every possible path of escape.

I held my arm as a large gash replaced where there was meant to be flesh.

I racked my brain over and over to come up with a solution to my current predicament.

I realized time was quickly running out as even with accelerated thinking, A nifty side effect of having the intelligence of a god.

Fuck am I really going to die like this, A nameless rat without any notable achievements.

Will I truly fizzle out, I have the potential to be so much, The potential to become a god.

Yet all that ends here.

No.

I refuse.

I will SURVIVE!!

I WILL LIVE.

I WANT TO LIVE.

I WILL SURVIVE NO MATTER WHAT!!

As if to herald my enlightenment as a gush of energy filled my body as the mysterious feeling my senses had picked up was a form of malleable energy.

My mind seemed to want to collapse from the influx of new information I had just received, The only thing keeping me grounded being Rick's Intelligence.

It reminded me that I still had a situation to face in front of me.

And something told me that with my newfound power I would be able to take on these monsters.

It seems the wolves also felt my changes as they looked agitated.

They suddenly charged at me with my enhanced processing power, I was able to dodge the attacks much to my surprise.

It seemed my body as a whole was enhanced even by my body's reaction speed.

I can't keep dodging forever. I can feel myself getting worn out.

I need a way to attack them too.

I managed to think of ways to damage them while my parts of my brain were actively using my body to avoid getting hit.

It seems I have achieved Parallel Processing. The ability to keep two functional and independent trains of thoughts active simultaneously.

As I relished in the new found ability, I suddenly remembered the energy within my body that seemed to flow in abundance.

I tried something as I tried to manipulate the energy within my body, As the energy moved around my body It felt as if those parts of my body who weren't receiving the energy got weaker.

But I knew that wasn't the cause. This energy somehow manages to empower me and bring my base attributes a step further.

Now what if I concentrated this energy towards a specific body part as I directed the energy toward my arms and I felt a massive surge of strength come from within them.

It was a euphoric feeling.

Now I had gained a method of attack.

I waited as the dark blue wolf charged at me, I timed my attack as precisely as I could.

When it lunged its claws at me I stepped out of the way and threw a punch with my enhanced arms.

I put everything I had into the punch, I looked at my now fractured hand but I looked at the wolf whose head seemed like it had been bashed in with an incredibly dense object.

As I looked at my hand I felt the energy seemed to ease away the pain. No. It seemed to be fixing my arm.

I looked once more intrigued by the possible applications of such an energy.

I looked upon the remaining 4 wolves as they seemed to be whimpering and confused as if they had lost their leader.

That's when it hit me. I had killed their leader.

Hence their reaction. I tried to make a display of dominance to scare them off at the same time directing the rest of the mysterious energy towards my legs as in case this didn't work I could always run away.

It seemed my bet was the correct one as the wolves got scared off after the death of their leader.

Now that I was not in danger of being dead a sense of urgency overwhelmed me as I felt the need to get out of this forest as there could be more of those monsters and I could only fight for so long.

I thought as I felt my body loosen like a deflated balloon.

I feel tired and very hungry.

I quickly made my way to a tree as for the second time in this forest I slept in a tree.

(Day 5)

I woke up groggy as I reviewed the information I received yesterday and digested it as I planned the best course of action.

I looked at my tattered clothes, A black shirt and black pants. I looked upon them as the shirt had slash marks around the side and it seemed to be dyed in blood.

And the pants looked like they had been used as a rag as holes riddled them with dust and grime building up on it.

I planned out my goals in order.

Investigate what that mysterious voice was.

My name being blurred out.

Find out what the effects of these so-called skills are.

Find out the source of the mysterious energy.

Escape this goddamned forest.

I thought as I quickly got up and washed myself in the lake I had previously found.

I quickly realized the need for weapons as if I had encountered a monster with a harder hide than the wolves I would have died.

(Day 6)

I haven't come closer to achieving any of my goals.

I need to get out of this forest, I feel my sanity slipping the more I am surrounded by the greenery.

I have been walking for days and I haven't seen anything indicating the end of this forest.

I tried researching the source of the mysterious energy, but I made no headway in that department.

And thus I decided to pour my efforts towards leaving this forest. The rest can come after.

3 Months Later.

At the edge of a forest that spanned for miles, There lay a young boy who looked to be no more than 18 years of age. If one looked closely at this youths visage they would see he had a roughed up appearance and a hardened face one that indicated a rough and enlightening experience within the forest
