Chapter 29 - 28.5 Crawl

This was a weird thing to think, but as I ate the food reviewing the last one hour of the exploration, it gave me goosebumps. My whole body feels like it's frozen. I can't specifically remember.

What was there to think about? All the bruises and blood stains from a few movements ago are now gone as I've meticulously wrapped them in bandages. A lot of my blood was gone. The things that had happened sometime ago still make me tremble. The mysterious marks on me keep on adding up now and there is a circular mark on my left hand.

.....

While remembering the trivial details of my exploration, such as:

Enter upper floor.

Next floor and again next floor.

The floor which was rainbow patterned, the hues and all really confused me,as the bandaged leg was still bleeding while I was eating the food peacefully and walking. I thought, 'Always they say to start now. Though I started, I have not yet found any exit. All I found was that this building had a pretty weird layout. There were too many weird things about the upper floors.'

The rainbow floors were filled with a central room. Why did they even build these rooms? What utility did they even have? Like, what could a person do with such a weird floor and stuff, you know.

These were straight up weird, dawg, you know, right? Like, if one person created such a room and it was public, people would think of that person as a weirdo. You get what I'm saying, homie, like, dawg.

Here are the events that occurred to get the details. This is the point.

...

Walked away from the library and neared the stairs. Now, maybe this floor doesn't have an exit, but there might be a chance that the next floor or the above one has the current exit, you know what I'm saying.

Why do you or any person in my situation ask for an exit? Let me ask.

A

"Because I'm literally a cornered rat here."

B

"I am a cornered rat."

C

"What else do you want?"

D

"Just leave and let's continue."

..... Some time passed but there was no response.

"D" it is, I said to myself, and continued to go to the upper floors.

Step step step.

For each step I took, the lights turned on to a range I could see. I really liked this mechanism, you know, like I was walking up...….

Ah! As I could see the paintings and stuff getting visible as I got up each step, I saw different paintings, but I couldn't focus on them. There was something weird,I felt it pulling my gaze as I got closer and closer.

"Aaak!" I screamed as I saw a chilling image. The person who didn't seem like a person, the more I saw, the more the chills rose in me. "Ahhh!" My legs on the edge slipped as my gaze tore from the figure, thanks to that I averted my gaze from it to below. Something caught my eye but the sentence below it caught my eyes. What was written there was:

"Do not gaze into the #$#$#" "Argh!" My brain hurt as I clutched my head. That thing was written in weird text. I was able to pass through the painting somehow. Was I running? I don't know. Or was it walking while sweating bullets? I don't know. Maybe both, maybe none,at that moment.

I crossed it and continued upwards, but suddenly the thought of the image hijacked my brain and there was a chilly sensation on my shoulders, as if something lay there. The chill still remained, as if that entity in the photo was still gazing at me. Whichever direction I took or thought, at the end I still remembered the being.

'Call me superstitious, but I see myself in gold and silver pulling me and stuff. What else can you say now, huh? I'd rather believe it's a ghost than think lightly, thinking that I am hallucinating due to deprivation, and get killed somehow.' But why was that stuff there in that place, was my question. The chill got stronger the second I stopped or paused for the briefest of a moment, but it got weaker and weaker as I got away from it, so I started to relax due to my ignorance, thinking, 'Why is there no lift in any of these floors, dammit, or the building?'

"Haaah." I took a deep breath as I exhaled a mouthful of air, still feeling the sting from the earlier injury. "I truly am a stupid person doing stupid stuff, huh. Never would've expected that I'd poke myself," I said to myself, distracting myself from the chills on my back. Each step I took felt longer and longer. I felt that there was something, something weird going on. Didn't know where to put my finger on it.

"Let's continue walking ##$#@, tilda..." I heard, maybe I said it,and so I continued walking. I walked and walked, saw plenty of photos in the gallery, many antiques. As I entered the hall next, there was nothing. The entire room was dark. There were no lights, nothing. Everything was pitch black. I could see no one. I could hear nothing, not even my feet. Every noise was gone. Everything was pin drop silent.

The antiques behind me were nowhere to be found. There was nothing but pure emptiness.

My eyes felt heavy. I rubbed them. The pain was soon gone. I felt them turn a bit sore, maybe due to me itching that area. Then my eyes hurt. I didn't know what to do.

So I closed my eyes, but the itch returned. I controlled my hand from itching that area, but the sensation intensified immensely. It felt as if if I didn't scratch it, something might —

'Pain pain pain pain pain it hurts it hurts it hurts it's itchy just ru,just rub, just rub it. It pains, it pains, rub it, rub it, rub it.' The voice continued. I said to myself, did I? But I couldn't bear the pain. The pain was too much. The itch was too much. I tried to open my eyes but the pain prevented me. At that moment all I could think of was: "I want to itch it. It hurts. It pains. Just let me itch it, just a tiny bit. It will soon go away. Just one itch. Only one. Please let me. Please." I felt that something bad would happen if I listened to it. I shook my head left and right, not caring if it felt painful. I just did it,shaking my body vigorously, falling on the ground, shaking over and over again to let the pain and itch go away, but….

"Scratch it," it said. And I started to scratch the area again, again and again. No thought, just robotic movement. The pain continued and the itch continued, but as I scratched harder and harder the pain went away. The itch dissipated. There was no pain from scratching. All I felt was the bliss of scratching, the joy of my pain disappearing. I did it again and again, the joy of it, listening to it as it told me to scratch, the joy, the pain disappearing, the joy, the feeling it made me feel. I felt really ecstatic. I could see her smiling while embracing me, her warmth radiating and enveloping me.

Even as the scratching made me bleed, it felt so blissful. The only thought left was to scratch, scratch and scratch. And the voice that was there, that I desperately wanted to hear, where was it? The bliss was there. My eyes were red. There were trickles of blood from the scratches. When I didn't hear her voice I felt empty. The portrait of her where there was no bottom kept appearing, but that was not real. I wanted to hear her voice. Nothing mattered to me at that moment but her and her divine voice. I'd do anything for her.

"Will you offer yourself to me?" I finally heard the voice. The voice that I so desperately wanted to hear. The voice that made me feel the bliss. I couldn't even think of a moment without her voice.

As if to show my sincerity,"splat." This was the first sound I heard. Then "splash." Drip drop, drip drop. These were the sounds that I heard.

I tried to open my eyes but I couldn't. Why? I didn't understand. Just why, why, why was that the case? I want to see her.

What is this feeling, that weird feeling? I felt there was something in my hands. They were round and rope-like, some fluid on them.

"Oh, these are my eyes." I understood, but the thought of sacrificing my eyes made me feel even more euphoric. My sadness of not seeing her disappeared. It felt too blissful. This was too much. I rushed them to her as an offering.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" I screamed.

.....

…..

"Huh." What was that?

Sweat poured down my shirt. Pat,I slipped down the stairs. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Nonononnononononon!" I screamed, but there were no murals. There was nothing. There was truly nothing, antiques, no murals, no carving of that figure, that one and all the rest of the paintings disappeared. There was nothing.

"Guugh! Arrgh!" I vomited all the food and even felt like the bile was pouring out of my stomach. This pain was far too real. The bliss, that feeling,"nononononononlalalalalabababababababa",I didn't even want to think of that.

Sweat and everything poured out. I was like a frozen duck.

I still, due to this weird pain, bliss and bleeding from falling down the stairs, crawled my way step by step, blood bleeding, my heart palpitating with fear. Every second I was climbing the stairs felt like hours.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" The feeling,it was back. Something is touching me. Something is on my back. I don't wanna go. I don't wanna go. Please, I don't wanna go,was all I could think as I climbed to the top. The chill intensified. The entire stairs were covered in my blood.

I crawled and crawled with a sense telling me to go straight. The chill now covered my left wrist. The intense calling was now in front of me. As I touched it, I fell into a coma.

...….

Third person POV

"Sheeek." Creek,a barrier appeared which drove away the black miasma, but that miasma, before disappearing, left a mark on his left arm.

--

There was a bright light that suddenly appeared around the figure. It was so bright that the rest of the lights in her domain couldn't compare to it. As soon as it appeared, it turned dimmer than the rest of the lights.

The figure seemed to be in some weird state as there were constant light particles entering her and dissipating. There was emptiness all around her, other than these stars which illuminated themselves only, as the rest of the light was absorbed by her. She was the darkest being in there.
