Chapter 344 - Story 21 Celestial Path Chapter 19

There was a heavy silence as the night bugs and birds silenced themselves as the threat of violence filled the air. My breathing was through my mouth, as I couldn't bear to breathe through my nose as the scent of cooking human flesh filled the air.

"This is why such youkai need to be culled Akari." Jirayia spoke with a cold tone as we both looked at the camp that had several fire's that had captured human's being cooked over the flames. All clearly long dead.

Doing several hand signs in a row, I took a deep breath and I dumped a quarter of my chakra into a Mokuton jutsu that made the ground rumble as I made large pillars of wood grow thirty meters into the air and surround the camp.

All so that none of the super human oni could flee from the camp. As Jiraiyia had already warned me how Oni could run very fast and with great stamina.

"I wasn't going to let any of them go anyway... The smell, though." I said with a grimace with the older man patting my shoulder and saying comfortingly.

"Yeah, the smell of burning human flesh isn't so easily forgotten. Well, you woke up the camp. So you take the right half, I will take the left."

I nodded and then paused before doing more hand signs, before I said, as we hit the ground running. "Summoning jutsu!" And with a poof, Jirayia leapt away as heat bloomed around us as Quelaag was summoned from my home in Konoha to here.

The 'demigod' spider 'youkai' looked around with gleaming eye's and as the shouts of Oni's in the distance grew in volume as they realized how stuck they were. I said quickly to Quelaag.

"Quelaag, I need your help to slay a bunch of man-eating monsters. Can you help me?"

To this, Quelaag simply raised an eyebrow and said casually, "Oh, very well. I been keeping myself busy making silk robes and other things out of my webbing. So this will be fun for stretching my legs."

And Quelaag was surprisingly quick as she followed me up the massive wood pillars I created with my Mokuton and as we came to be above the large camp, that had like fifty to seventy oni's at most.

Quelaag asked calmly. "Are you looking to have any survivors? Or gain some battle loot?"

I shook my head and said firmly. "They ALL need to die, but I prefer to have a chance to loot."

There was a pause before Quelaag's voice grew and she spoke out. "Master Jiraiya, I ask that you move out of the way. I wish to prove my strength to my summoner and master."

Then I felt a pulse of not chakra... But divinity, authority, as the Witch of Izaltih's power filled the air with a choking heat as her spider body's form turned hazy as the air literally turned to plasma around her.

"I slayed armies of dragons with my mother, I slaughtered armies of the dark, and of demons... This world will know the fire of Izalith." I heard her whisper to me as it was clear that this was a demonstration for me.

Then, a spinning flare of fire formed above us in the air above the large wooden pillars I had made. And seeing the madly spinning ball of fire that had a ring of dark flames. I realized she was using the pyromancy spell, Chaos Bed Vestiges.

And then the now massive ball of fire fell down and hit the ground with a loud rumble... I held up an arm to shield myself from what I expected the fireball to explode and likewise throw a bunch of shit everywhere.

But instead, I watched along with seeing Jirayia's expression twist in the distance as the spinning doom of flames and the ring of darker flames ground down and burn away the oni camp below us.

And then... I saw Quelaag's outstretched hand close into a fist, and the ball of flames collapsed in of itself, abruptly killing all the other flames in the area including the bottoms of my wooden pillars.

"Well Akari? Are you satisfied?" Quelaag asked with clear pride and I nodded helplessly as I wondered if there was anything at all down there to salvage.

Then... Quelaag broke the tether that kept her here as my summon and with a poof, she burst into smoke and obviously returned back to my home in Konoha making my lips twitch at the smoke clearing away.

"Well, that was certainly something... And not much of a learning experience for you, but good to see the strength of your summon at least." Jirayia spoke with a slight chuckle before we both looked down into the burnt crafter.

"Think there is any loot down there?" I asked with a wry smile.

And Jirayia just coughed before he said with a shrug. "Maybe some gems, the ground has been burnt less so perhaps some weapons and metal things could be alright."

With a shrug, I leapt down into the burnt crater with myself summoning some water around myself with a curse as the ground was hot as fuck.

After a bit of searching... I found a grand total of a lot of skeletons that were burnt by Quelaag's flames, a couple bag's of Ryo coins that were unburnt thankfully, as they were partially buried under what seemed to be the clan chief's tent.

And finally... I found what was likely the clan chiefs weapon as he was holding it when he died in being a fuck off large warhammer that had a bear's head built into the head of the hammer. And the bear head actually fit on the end of the hammer, which showed it's sheer size.

"Ehh, a pretty good warhammer. But, being honest... I have never seen a ninja or samurai use a warhammer... Well, except for the Kabutowari, in the Hidden Mist Village." Jiraiya spoke with some amusement, and I recalled the so-called 'Helmet Splitter' special weapon.

It was a weapon that was a large hammer and an axe that were tied together... Which was certainly a sword of all time. And worthy of belonging to the Seven Ninja Swords of the Mist.

"Well, it can get a good little price back in Konoha, I guess... Anyway, we should get going to deal with those wolf youkai, there isn't anything left here." I said before, Jiraiya shook his head and said with amusement.

"Haha. I can't wait for the nobles to complain about their hunters and such, seeing your giant wood constructs! Alrigh, let's get going then. Hunting down the roaming pack of wolf youkai may very well take a whole week anyway."
