I gave Filia a gentle side hug, not only to sooth her mind... But also to hold her up as she was a bit weak on her feet as I didn't want to hug her more from in the front due to the vomit that was now covering the dungeon's floor.
"Alright. How much Valis did we get from those bags" I asked Shenhe who was still going through the bags of ill-gotten goods we collected from the three men.
Shenhe hummed and then said calmly. "Strictly in coinage, almost fifty thousand Valis. Probably close to another thirty thousand in monster stones, and I am ignorant to the value of the weapons and potions relative to their price here in Orario."
I shrugged with Xianyun saying calmly. "I can take those weapons and potions to some second-hand stores to sell them. I am a smith so I will know their value."
There was a pause before Filia spoke quietly. "Ok Jake. I feel a bit better." And so I let go of the young woman who took a drink from her canteen before spitting it out to wash out the taste of sick out of her mouth.
"Are you ladies ready to go to the third or fourth floor now? Shenhe is skilled and strong enough to be a melee combatant for those floors. And you two are ranged fighters." I spoke seriously.
The ladies shared a look before Ganyu said with a nod of agreement. "So long as a monster party doesn't overwhelm us. We should be fine with our party configuration even if I wish we had another melee fighter in the back with us."
Wanting a melee fighter to babysit the backline wasn't a bad idea... I wonder if I run into another overpowered Expy I can 'trick' I mean help find their way and join my familia.
Or instead of a melee fighter, a tank-like warrior would be for the best like Mash Kyrielight, Maple from Bofuri, Darkness for Konosuba... Hell, I would be happy with a dude even so long as he was strong or capable of growth.
Having an entire female Familia filled with beauties was great on paper. Until you had to actually live with them and I didn't want all that hassle. Plus I wanted a bro to hang out and drink with.
My thoughts on possible people to team up with cut aside as we reached the bottom of the stairs leading into the third floor. With my thoughts being violently put aside at the sight of open carnage in front of our group.
It was a trio with three women and all three of them were Amazons with their typical darker skin and wearing very skimpy clothes besides the large leather bag's they were casually carrying on their backs alongside their weapons.
But the carnage... There were at least two dozen human or otherwise once-sentient people's corpses splattered across the ground.
Seeing my party the leader of the Amazon's grinned and waved over casually. "Yo! You newbies are fine! We are a punitive expedition from Lord Ganesha to deal with some newbie hunters. You guys go on ahead past us."
The three amazon's casually moved to the side to make us more comfortable while the three eyed up my party casually before I took a deep breath and spoke firmly. "Then I thank you for helping clean up the dungeon. Please excuse us."
I knew these three were likely level three with the way that the corpses were so mangled by their super strength but I didn't make a scene even I knew Filia was likely feeling a bit faint at the scene.
But the Amazons truly were who they said they were, as I only accepted going past them as frankly... Fighting on stairs against someone with much higher stats was a terrible idea.
At least on flatter ground I could backstep and grovel better to get into a better position to render them to ashes with my Stygian Blade.
Once we entered one of the somewhat larger side tunnels leading off in the third floor we were quickly beset upon by a group of kobolds five strong and we dealt with them easily enough with Xianyun sticking with her bow matching Ganyu.
"Hmm... We need a large monster party to deal with. Could we spawn one somehow?" Shenhe mused as she was helping Filia and me extract some monster stones.
"Bad! No Shenhe we can't do that!" Ganyu scolded her murder hobo of a sister who just pouted before perking up as another group of kobolds this time being ten strong in number came around the corner of the hallway and with snarls rushed towards us.
I pushed my mana into my wand and then a dozen conjured-up magical swords flew through the air hitting half of the kobolds in lethal spots and bringing them down and before I could close in to do some melee.
Shenhe herself killed another three while the rest were killed off by arrows.
So with some monster stones to pluck up I asked curiously. "So how long does your arrows last? As piercing through bone has to put some stress on it right?"
Ganyu chuckled and said with some amusement. "Yes there will be some wear on the arrowheads. But we are using solid-bladed steel tips. They are much more solid arrows and can even be re-sharpened with how thick Xianyun made the blades of the tips."
With Xianyun herself adding on. "Yes, the heavier arrows do make the arrows a bit slower but with the enclosed space of the dungeon's earlier floors... It's not like we are shooting more than thirty meters at most."
I nodded taking in the information that did have some value before I sighed as a loud snarl rang out in the distance as another party of monsters, this time goblins found us.
"Shenhe... Did you anger the dungeon when you taunted it?" I asked rhetorically as I sent several spikes of Sodium into the monsters with the spikes of Sodium violently exploding inside of the bodies of the goblins.
