Rino and I just snuggled through the night with nothing too far happening other than playing a bit of harmless grab-ass.
And once we got up, ate some breakfast, and got ready for the day... We were off.
The Kengan Match in a surprising turn of events was going to be taking place within an actual arena. The actual Underground Arena underneath the Tokyo Dome was owned by Mitsunari Tokugawa who was a high-ranking and well-respected member of the Kengan Association.
And it didn't take me long to realize that Tokugawa was the short almost goblin-looking midget from Baki who owned the huge arena that Baki fought at to win the Maximum Tournament with this very arena being same.
Once I got there to the arena I could even smell it. I could smell the blood that had been split within the soft sand filling the arena as we entered the stands and I saw how there was already a small crowd filling the bottom-level seats to watch the multiple fights that were going to happen here.
"So you going to bet on the other fights going on?" I asked curiously.
"Of course. I do have a good eye for fighters and being a businesswoman I need to get every Yen I can get my hands on especially if it's from my rivals... Do you plan to fight more than your opponent is the real question?"
I gave Rino a look to my side and I shrugged saying honestly. "Depends on how injured or tired I may be after I defeat the first guy... I do have some unfinished business though." I finished quietly as my eyes lasered in on the steel-colored brown hair of Stelle who was standing beside her master Kafka who were speaking to some older men.
'Probably setting up an assassination... Or just setting Stelle up for a new fight.' I thought before I bit my lip and I considered if I should tell Shigure I saw Kafka and her disciple here.
After a moment I realized that as a disciple I shouldn't be getting bullied by a master who has devoted decades to martial arts and killing people alone so I quickly sent Shigure a message that I had Kafka in my sights here.
And after a couple of minutes, Shigure sent a message back simply stating. [Kafka isn't a threat to you. She has paid for attacking a disciple during their own disciple battle by getting beaten by both Killing Fist and Life-Saving Fist Masters most ferociously... It's surprising she is standing to be honest.]
My lips twitched reading that and as I put my phone away I heard Rino speak with annoyance. "Ugh, here comes our rival."
I looked over and waddling over this way was a rotund almost Egg-Man-looking older man with a bald head who was looking at Rino with dark, beady eyes as came closer.
And once the two business magnates were within speaking distance the older man spoke in a thick voice as his eyes greedily roamed over Rino's body. "Rino, are you ready for our bet?" He asked simply but I could tell he wanted to say more... But he was forced to literally swallow down his drool.
'Man Rino's pheromones really aren't fair.' I thought wryly but then I felt soft marshmallows embrace my arm as Rino hugged my arm and said happily. "Oh of course John. The terms of the bet have been set in stone with the Kengan Association so it's just a matter of waiting for our time slot in the arena."
The man John, who was apparently a high-end employee, maybe even a member of the Board of Directors in Trojan Condoms, shifted and I saw behind him was my opponent who was looking directly at me and refusing to look at Rino probably with the knowledge that she was dangerous to men like himself.
Richard Long Johnson was like someone taking the name of a country boy and adding an extra foot of height and a solid hundred, hundred twenty-five pounds to an already big boy.
So he looked to be a good two hundred and seventy-five to three hundred pounds of bulk and around six and a half feet tall. And for a man like him to be a submission specialist? Yeah, that was going to be hard to break out of his sheer dead weight regardless of any further strength he puts into a hold.
Meaning I really didn't want to get put into any submission holds by him.
"You are a scrawny little shit ain't ya." Richard said in English taking in my form and I couldn't help a chuckle as my form was a bit bulkier than a swimmer's build, closer to a wide receiver or even a Quarterback of American Football but compared to him?
With an easy smile on my face, I retorted in my own perfectly clear English. "Yeah, and you look like bulls, ride your ass for the rodeo."
There was a moment of stillness before Richard laughed heartily and nodded with his face in a wry smile as he shook his head. "Alright, alright you got a biting tongue there boy. Just make sure you don't bite it off when I punch ya in the jaw."
I just shook my head done with the shit-talking with Richard snorting like the bull I pointed him out to be with John then made his way away after Rino didn't look interested in any further conversation.
Once they were gone Rino said rather calmly. "Your match is after the next one coming up. Are you ready?"
I simply nodded and then I blinked seeing the next fighters enter the lot being both women but I disregarded the sight as I didn't recognize them in any way. And with the fight going on in the Arena being a slugging match between two boxing MMA types of fighters, I looked back over at Stelle...
Who was staring directly at me from across the arena. Her eyes pierced my own with a depth of thought and emotion I didn't expect... And taking in her surroundings I saw that Kafka was gone, but replacing her master was another young woman. One I did most certainly recognize.
'Uhhh oh.' I thought as I recognized Karura of the Kure Clan. And as though feeling my glance she looked across the arena from where she was talking to Stelle and I met her inhuman eyes as I looked into the blackened eyes of the devil that the Kure clan had.
I sent her a nod and went to play with my phone while Rino was also answering business emails and soon enough it was time for my fight as the two ladies in the arena pit knocked the shit out of each other within a few minutes.
