Chapter 5 - Reunited to The Red Castle

I see my mother in her bright blue dress wearing the same colored cartwheel hat walking beside me. Right in front of the mansion there is a red Jinrikisha, a traditional transportation stood before me with a luxury flower pattern on a golden plate.

The seat, covered in red velvet, gives the vibe of luxurious transportation, with long black arm craft and big wooden wheel. The crafts worker stands so strong with a muscular body, and eyes that reflected a golden brown color similar to me.

When we sat down on her Jinrikisha, he lifted the craft effortless and started walking. All the way to my home, my mother didn't speak much to me. She only speaks view words and does not even look at me.

With her white gloves, she kept holding her hands elegantly like a really noble person.

"Mom, how's life?"

"Good" with a pretty voice that I always miss in my ears. But that answer also gave me a deep slice in my chest into why didn't she answer me much?

Why did her sight go faint? What just happened to her? Or what just happened to our family?

I kept thinking about the reason for it. The more I tried to bring up conversation, the colder vibe she gave. I'm beginning to think, did she leave me?

We spent ten minutes away until I saw the beautiful and tranquil surrounding house with tall sidewalls painted in pastel green. The plants adorned the walls, adding an aesthetic vibe like a classic house that I always wanted to have when I was a child.

We stopped in the center of a big door that looked crafted from polished wood with a deep brown color. I got down from the Jinrikisha. Once again, my mother didn't look more elegant than I saw right now.

She pushed that big door open and I smelled the blooming flowers carried on a soft breeze. The house is bigger than the old one, even bigger than Rengoku's house.

I walk inside my new house with arranged paving and soft green grass on the left and right sides. At the side of the house, I heard someone was swinging and decided to look after it.

"Nee-chan!!" shouted my first brother, Zaruhi. He ran toward me quickly and hugged me tight.

"Why didn't you go home first?" his face looked at me with a longing sight in his eyes.

"Zaruhi! What happened to one of your eyes?" I clearly saw one of his left eyes covered.

"Oh, this one? I think it was injured because of the earthquake that happened to us. I don't really remember. But that's okay, I'm good now. Sena nee-chan."

"But it's not an earthquake-"

"Children! Lets get home!" the shout of my mother distracted the conversation between me and Zaruhi.

I feel my family hide the fact that our house has been attacked by a terrifying big demon, but I don't understand why they are hiding it.

With silence, I entered the house. I saw my father with a happy face looking at me.

"SENA! I really missed you dear!"

"Father!"

I hugged him with a tight hug and tears dropped from my eyes.

"I really missed you so much! Why didn't you come earlier??"

"We're really sorry Sena, that time we panicked, but when I saw a demon slayer help you, I believe they will believed cure you, then I focused on giving Zaruhi first aid for his injuries" while my father hugged me.

My mother hugged me from behind and said "We also wait to buy a new house for you, as you always dream about. We're sorry to pick you up for months"

I feel relieved, they didn't forget about me, and didn't talk about the Haori, and demon slayer. Seems they have already opened their minds and understood the situation.

As they said, they gave the facts about the demon to my brother in order to prevent him from anxiety. Because at his age, knowing there are demons that exist terrifies him so much.

"Zaruhi, help me out! You bring this one."

"Nee-chan, why would you be able to lift those with two hands?"

"Of course! These jugs are pieces of cake."

Zaruhi works really hard and has a good relationship with me, along with my parents. The change that I always wanted, the family I cherished.

The disappointments dissolve into the ether, overshadowed by a sense of  joy. The universe binds us back together, giving us an extraordinary opportunity to begin a new life.

In this dreamlike space, the unexpected turn of the family I could scarcely believe. At our dinner on the first day I   arrived, my parents explained how my aunty works in the Red District got the Mayor's support to gain back our economy.

I heard that as the gentle stroke of fate, guiding us toward the future. It was a reminder that even in adversity, there is still room for hope for us.

"Onee-chan, will you leave tonight?" Hiroshi, my second younger brother after Zaruhi hugged me and lifted jugs of Sake.

"Yes dear, I should deliver this sake to aunty Misaki, it won't be long. We will be back at dawn"

Hiroshi seems sad about the situation, but he didn't really have much choice. I could see the tears already pooling in his eyes. I convinced him I would bring some snacks and toys from the district.

The smile was rising up in his face along with his brown eyes, just like his mother's. Then he covered up his mind and started jumping excitedly. Thanks for the ideas that came into my head, otherwise he will cry a lot.

"How long from our station to the Red district, Mom?"

"About two hours, and-we need to ride Jinrikisha"

All the way to the district, we sat down in silence, just me looking at the shining stars in the sky from the side window. While looking at shining stars, like flowing wind in my mind, I was thinking about my mother's condition.

Well, she is still cold as I met her before. Even before the incident, my mother didn't like this cold. She still talks to me as if I was her child. And something I can't conclude, my father is also become more caring?

Seems like the moon and the sun have reversed their places. But, their voices didn't change. I can know my father still keeps his temper through his little pressure sometimes, and my mother was still humble sometimes.

Even her voice seemed like rattled snake poison, killing in silence. As I remember, belief about the unstable their belief was. The thing is their voice when they are talking, sometimes like uncompleted sentences.

It didn't sound really clear, but the moment of conversation often just stopped like an awkward stranger conversation. Though, I keep thinking they might regret it and be disappointed because they decided to leave me behind.

But all of them didn't really matter to me, as long as we reunited again. All of it is just an illusion.

As I stopped thinking about it, flashy lights from afar, the district lights already stole my eyes, give me goosebumps, but amazed like I see festival in new year.

We finally arrived at the district of Jinrikisha. When I walk into the district, they look at us like seeing a noble person.

To my right and left, my eyes could see an array of stunning girls stealing my attention. From teenagers to adults, their skin is delicate with smooth white silk. Their cheeks are adorned with gentle blushes, enhancing their breathtaking beauty.

Their eyes mesmerize me like they're perfect painting, each pair possessing a unique charm and ethereal allure that pulls me to get closer.

"Sena! Tsukina! Here.."

"Aunty Misaki!"

A vision of aunt Misaki really fascinated my eyes. I saw a beautiful white girl with the kindest eyes and a graceful posture. She had flaming red eyes that seemed to glow, and her dark purple hair flowed down elegantly.

She was tall and had the presence of an Oiran. Her appearance was truly captivating, with her fair skin looking smooth and pure.

The kindness in her eyes was so obvious, and it made her even more beautiful. Her dark purple hair cascaded down in waves, framing her lovely features. She stood tall and carried herself with grace, capturing everyone's attention.

Her presence made me feel transported to a different time, as if I had entered a world of beauty and refinement. She reminded me of the legendary Oiran with her elegant demeanor. I have never seen those kinds of pretty eyes in my life.
