Chapter 105 - Ch.107 Reaching the Dungeon(2)

As they entered the dungeon they found themselves in front of a large cave with a ceiling so high that it wasn't easy to make out its features.

In front of them were ten entrances each leading to a different path of the dungeon, normally it would have been a challenge in itself to choose an entrance as one of them could lead to a trap.

But since so many people had entered and exited the dungeon, though it's upper floor they had a lot of information on their hands.

"We can take any path as all of them in the end lead to a single room, so follow me," Han said as he took the entrance closest to him.

Although still nervous all of them followed him bravely, after all this was the only way they could earn high fame.

As they entered a way after walking for a while they came about an opening leading them to a large forest area.

As they stepped their foot the once silent forest came to life as they could sense thousands of monsters charging at them.

Even with all the monsters charging at them, Han didn't look any nervous as all the monsters were only E and D rank.

Mortem pointed his staff at the forest as a large amount of magicule surrounded him and he chanted his spell.

As he did so all the trees in the forest came to life roots erupted from the ground binding and piercing through all the monsters. After the monster died the root buried them beneath the ground as if making them their nourishment.

All the thousands of monsters surrounding them died in a matter of seconds and once again the forest regained it's silence.

"Come on let's get moving," Han said as he walked through the now-empty forest.

After reaching the other side of the forest in front of them were a hundred entrances leading a different way.

Without a second thought they took a rando entrance and continued on their way, with each new massive room they found more monsters stronger than before but less in number.

At the end of each room were a hundred entrances as they continued on their way, they traveled without being stopped by any monster as they simply killed them.

After they traveled through the fiftieth entrance B rank monsters started to show in masses, after the seventieth entrance they fought their first A rank monster and in the ninetieth floor they found their first A+ rank monster.

They had been inside the dungeon for a week now and they finally reached the ninety-ninth floor, welcoming them there were four A+ rank monsters. A force sufficient enough to destroy a small country.

All the A+ monsters looked like giant wolves standing at a height of 20 ft each and had different colored fur representing their element. The elements are fire, water, wind, and lightning.

"Rooooooooooooooooooooooor" With a powerful and thunderous roar all the wolved charged at the intruders.

"All in, formation," Han shouted as he charged at the monsters in front of him.

The other A-rank adventures supported him as he fought against the five A+ rank monsters, normally it would be a disastrous matchup with Han's here they were able to hold off the monsters.

The B-rank adventures dealt with the other monsters in the area not letting them disturb the Han's and the other A-rank adventurers.

The C ranks were standing near the entrance as they didn't want to be caught in the crossfire and Mortem was currently chanting spells.

Mortem's eyes opened as his body glowed with magicule and he pointed his wand at the wolf monster's.

Following his command roots started to erupt from all over the caves trying to bind the wolves, Though it wasn't successful as they fought back but it gave enough time for Han to give a fatal attack.

Hans shouted as his giant bastard sword glowed with golden light tripling in slice and slicing the flame wolf completely in half.

"One down three to go," Han shouted trying to increase the morale of his party and it worked as all of them shouted back in unison and fought with even more passion.

The wolves were surprised by the sudden death of their partner and Mortem took this chance as he casted another spell.

As he did so thousands of roots appeared from the ceiling and bonded together forming a massive spear that moved at high velocity toward a wolf.

The wolf was surprised by its partner's death and still fighting against the roots that wanted to bind it wasn't able to react to the sudden attack as it got pierced.

The wind wolf was also killed and the other wolves seeing this got into a beserker mode as they attacked with even more ferocity.

After another hour of fighting, they had finally defeated all the monsters as they rested on the floor. The healers were healing the wounded and those tired were currently resting Han's included.

They had already decided to rest here and replenish their magicule and stamina before they fought the final boss.

Mortem was currently tending to his wands while looking at the C rank adventures at work who were collecting everything valuable here as it was their job.

Up until now everything was going perfectly and they didn't even have a single casualty, although Han is arrogant he has the skills to back up that arrogance.

After a few days of resting, they were ready as they prepared for the final boss, this place was called the dead zone as anybody who had entered here had never returned.

All of them were nervous as after all of their hard work their goal was right in front of them.

Han came in front of them as he looked at their face with his battle-hardened gaze, seeing that although they were nervous nobody showed fear Han flashed a smile as he spoke.

"We have finally reached our destination and today we will be victorious. Today is the day this wretched dungeon which has taken many lives will be concurred and today is the day we will be known as heroes."

The more he spoke the louder his voice got and the more thunderous it reverberated throughout the floor. The nervousness in the group's eyes faded and was replaced by blazing flames for victory.

"Today we will win!!" All of them started to shout in unison as they got ready for battle.

"THEN FOLLOW ME" Han shouted as he took out his bastard sword and walked toward the final boss.

All of the magicians already started to chant their magic getting ready to bombard the boss at a moment's notice. The warriors had already coated themselves in magicule and reinforcement magic to increase their strength.

As they entered the final room they were greeted by complete darkness, they quickly lit up their magic lamps and remained vigilant.

As if noticing their presence two glowing eyes opened in the distance, it was golden in color having draconic slits.

As the dragon's eyes locked on its target a majestic aura shredded from its body enveloping the entire cave.

As they were hit by the aura they felt their body becoming weak as a deep sense of primordial fear came upon them.

It was two of the intrinsic abilities possessed by the dragon race, Dragon fear and the Dragon's haki. Though this wasn't a normal dragon Haki but the haki of a Dragon lord.

As if bored by the display shown by the adventures the Dragon didn't even lift its head as some flames spewed out from its mouth.

Although small at first the flames quickly grew as in a matter of seconds they covered the entire cave. The adventures weren't able to even more so they were hit by the direct flames of the dragon disappearing inside it.

The previous dark cave was as bright as the sun illuminated by the flames of the dragon, as the flames disappeared the only thing that remained was the melted earth and the adventurers were nowhere to be seen.

Alas, they died being unable to fight back against a foe unfathomably stronger than them, the dragon seeing that it's foe had died closed its eyes and again fell back to sleep.

..

..

"So, it's time for us to separate now," Ryuu said as he looked at the trio in front of him.

"Yes, Ryuu san," Kaval spoke as he looked at Ryuu with sadness in his eyes.

"Let's meet again soon," Elyan spoke as there were tears in her eyes.

"Do be careful on your journey," Gido said as he looked at Ryuu.

"Same to you," Ryuu said as he looked at them one last time and bid his farewell.

"Goodbye and thank you for all you have done for us." All of them shouted as they bowed their head.

Ryuu nodded to them and disappeared into the forest, seeing that he was gone the trio also continued on their journey.

Ryuu was currently looking at the dungeon entrance from a hill while smiling in excitement. Now that he was this close he could properly feel magicule emitted by the dungeon boss.

It was a magicule amount even greater than his energy amount so he knew that the future battle would be a tough one.

Even knowing that he couldn't help but smile as he felt the exhilaration of the coming battle. This was one of his greatest joys in life coming right after exploring new places and being together with his close ones.

"This will be fun," Ryuu muttered as he continued his way toward the cave.
