After getting home, I screamed into my bed's pillow because this was some reall bullshit honestly. I literally just got back from a huge adventure pushing my soul to it's limits in my training and antics in the Doulou Dalu world.
And now, apparently, Riser Phenex was trying to make himself fucking relevant after all the bullshit cheats, hax, and power I had collected?
Yeah, that was a load of crap... A part of me just didn't believe Grayfia at all, and thought that Sirzechs and her family wanted to get her a new OP peerage member or something along with her gaining more power in general.
"There is no way even with abusing Phenex Tears that in the course of like two weeks Riser can become stronger then myself at our base levels... I am a fucking cultivator with three Longinus-tier Martial Souls and four gods slumming it up in my soul." I grumbled to myself.
That, and no matter what. Riser literally could not defeat me with, A my Holy Evil Sea and Death Scythe Martial Souls. To say nothing of B, my Mystic Eye's of Death Perception.
"It's that goddess Ishtar that's the actual issue right?" Bi Ji spoke within my soul making me nod.
"Yeah, if Grayfia wasn't lying completely. And Ishtar has thrown her lot behind Riser and promised to take action during this inevitable rating game for Rias's hand. Then it get's complicated... Normally anyway."
I rolled my eye's with a sigh as I placed a hand on my chin and said thoughtfully. "The old Babylonian Pantheon has been gutted as their land of origin has been the site of a dozen Pantheons holy wars. I wasn't even aware that Ishtar was still alive frankly."
Plus if a 'supply' of Phenex Tears for her cult could make her active to the point of stepping out into the open. Then it was also likely that Ishtar was starving on faith energy.
"Honestly fuck Grayfia... Literally, and Sirzechs can go figuratively go fuck himself. I don't want to go anywhere any time soon." I said with finality, and I could feel the divine-grade spirit beasts within myself sending feelings of approval.
"So what are you going to do now then?" Tian Meng asked as his ghostly form appeared in my room and landed soundlessly on my bed.
I hummed and then I said thoughtfully. "For today and the near future? I will get that meeting with Seekvaria Agares or another member of the Agares clan with their time control trait. Besides that, I want to go check in with Yasaka, and possibly introduce Xue Nu to her."
I felt the Snow Empress shift out of my soul with her painfully beautiful form looking at me with suprise as her cool voice rang out. "I didn't think you would go for your promise of making me a goddess so soon?"
To which I just shrugged and said plainly. "You are well beyond Ultimate Class and at the Satan class for this world's power system. If you can convert all your spirit and soul energy to divine energy? Yeah you will be on the same level as Sirzechs probably."
Then Bi Ji and Bing'er also came out of my soul to talk with me in a more grounded way for a bit. Though as much as I wanted to help Bing Bing help become a goddess as well.
Xue Nu was already a 'Snow Woman' by all metrics and would be easily accepted by the youkai as a goddess of the Yuuki-Onna.
"Hmm, maybe the other ice and mountain types of Youkai will spring up to support you as well Bing'er." Tian Meng also came to the same idea as he and the others had read my memories of being here in DXD.
Still, after a good long conversation, they returned as I needed to make some calls, as just getting into contact with a member of the Agares clan was going to take some going around anyway.
I first called Serafall, who picked up the 'phone' call from the underworld with a forced cheer. [Yahallo! Whatcha need Jake?]
To which I raised an eyebrow as something was clearly up with Serafall but still I asked curiously. "Hey, Sera-tan. I can tell you are busy so I will be quick. Can you give me the contact information of an Agares clan member with the clan trait who would be able to do a few commissions for me?"
Serafall paused before she said hurriedly. [Oh, you need the aid of some time being sped up or something? Hmm, yeah I have a friend who can help you, I will even cover the cost for you haha... Just uhm, yeah, can you give me a minute!?]
I paused as a loud clatter rang out through the magical call as Serafall obviously put down the phone before a muffled scream that made... Zero sense rings out besides making me jump a bit.
Then Serafall's 'calm' voice came back as she said quickly. [Yup, how about tomorrow at like four in the afternoon Jake? Sounds good, awesome! I hope it goes well haha!]
The call was then shut down with myself looking at my phone with a frown before I said flatly. "She is guilty of something... Is she part of this bullshit of me taking Rias out to a training trip or something?"
Still, I shook my head before drawing a hand across my face as it was FINE! I got the Agares member coming over so I could steal/copy their bloodline trait and while the rest of my girls were busy. It was the perfect time for me to go check in with Yasaka and Kunou.
I took out my scythe and, with a flourish a cut in the void formed, allowing me to quickly teleport without setting off the stupid amount of wards and such that surrounded Kyoto, and soon enough, I was making my way to Yasaka's temple.

It didn't take me long to pick out Kunou's magical signature as she along with a couple of lesser kitsune guardians, were trailing her as the princess was going around Kyoto.
And the moment I came into her view... She paused before she grinned and shot forward into a stomach slam of a hug with a loud call of "Daddy!"
That made me inwardly cringe a bit as those kitsune guards in the shadows glared at me, along with several other youkai that quickly recognized their princess.
"Hello, princess." I said gently as I gently patted Kunou on the head between her kitsune ears.
Kunou leaned back from the hug with her scowling as she look at me and said with heat. "You went to another world without me! I can tell you are so much more different then the last time I saw you!"
Which... To be fair, forming three Longinus-tier Martial Souls along with hosting four gods would obviously have an effect on my appearance, especially due to how three of the four divine Spirit Beasts all had an ice attribute.
"And you seem to have gotten taller as well." I said with an indulgent pat to her head that made her huff and grab my hand and then demand.
"Come on! Momma will set you right! She has been waiting for you to come visit every single day as well!"
I couldn't help but sigh at that, and I mused that maybe I should try to get a clone ability or something, as I obviously had the mental strength with Tian Menh, making my mental sea so much stronger
"Alright, Kunou, let's go." I said softly and allowed the younger kitsune to drag me to Yasaka's shrine and home.
Yasaka herself had to finish some courtly business before she could dismiss herself from her meetings to meet with me and Kunou but as she did so. She sent me a knowing but small smile at seeing Kunou's slight pout.
"Hoh, are you wanting me to punish your father darling?" She teased Kunou, whose pout almost deepened, before she blinked and firmly nodded as she squeezed my hand and said firmly as she looked between me and her mom.
"Yes! You need to break Daddy's legs so he can't run away again! I haven't even seen him for more than a week at this point!"
Yasaka chuckled and looking at me, she said helplessly. "Maybe I would try to keep my man in line if he wasn't as strong if not more dangerous then I was..."
She then huffed and said with some amusement. "That rating game against that loathsome toad spawn made the Youkai shut up about you however Jake... Also I am going to be leaking THE news soon."
As to what, 'the' news was. Well, it was obviously that Yasaka was pregnant with my child and that our relationship had borne fruit.
"Do you mean actually leaking it slowly? Or announcing it more forthrightly?" I asked quietly as there was a major difference.
Yasaka gave me a raised eyebrow before she hummed with her arms pushing up her infamous mega milkers. "I would be admendable to either. I would rather not hide my pregnancy to be fair, but if I keep it subtle, then the Shinto won't give me lip for falling into the arms of a foreigner."
"I am not a single powerhouse now... I do have backing and powerful allies tied to my own faction." I said quietly, with the spirit beasts' divine signatures leaking out and making both kitsune pause at the sensation.
Still, Yasaka smiled weakly, and my face twitched as she said. "Yes... Your 'mate' Gu Yuena has already approached me. You having a Heavenly Dragon for a lover was certainly a surprise."
'Ah shit... Gu Yuena is already looking around to test the local world's dragon kings and such.' I mused before I asked with some concern. "She didn't threaten you or anything did she?"
Kunou snorted, and I closed my eyes as she said flatly. "No, she wanted to know if I and my future sibling were going to be a point of contention with you and the kids you will have with her... Then they quickly realized you had an open heart and would hate in-fighting in your harem."
I was silent for a moment before I shrugged and said helplessly. "Alright, that's fair."
And then I heard Xue Nu speak flatly from within my mental sea. "They are calling you a slut. And getting into fights over a slut is a stupid idea."
'That cuts deep.' I thought back as I held in a twitch at the cutting disdain in the snow woman's voice.
"In any case. Jake was there a specific purpose to this calling or are you just here to spend time with us?" Yasaka asked casually as she leaned back to visibly relax.
I nodded and in answer pulled Kunou into my lap so I could head pat my adopted daughter before I said. "This is mostly a social call I suppose. I do enjoy and want to spend time with you both, I just been rather busy as of late as you may have noticed."
Then I switched things around as I asked. "But enough about me. What have you two been up to? Anything interesting with the youkai happen recently? And Yasaka, how have you been feeling?"
I was clearly asking how she was feeling about the new life forming in her womb as her hand naturally slid down to her still flat stomach and she smiled softly before we three began talking more relaxedly.
