My party watched off to the side as Paarthurnax tore into the large Goliath with the Goliath's roar being cut off as Paarthurnax's fang's bit into the Goliath's neck violently even as the large humanoid monster began punching the back of Paarthurnax's back.
But Paarthurnax's scales and body was made from not only the template of an earth dragon, but it also had the extreme density of the Magma-Wrym that had been fused into it's body. So with it's thick scales and muscle density, it happily tanked the blows as it ripped flesh and ligaments from the Goliath's throat.
"Think you could actually defeat your mount?" Tina asked with bland curiosity as she leaned on her spear. But with a glance I could see there was an undercurrent of concern.
Which almost certainly originated from the prosthetic arm I had now as proof that although my fusion ability was powerful. There was certainly danger's within it if I wasn't careful.
Still after Paarthurnax roared and bathed the face of the Goliath in sticky napalm flames, his lava projectile vomit evolved into an enhanced sticky lava-filled fire breath that resembled napalm.
I finally responded in a measured tone. "Can I defeat him?" I nodded slowly before answering calmly. "I can kill him, but I can't defeat him nonlethally almost certainly," I admitted.
My group remained silent as we watched the Goliath push Paarthurnax several dozen meters away while covering it's melting face and screaming in pain which wasn't that surprising with their massive sizes.
Then as the Goliath tried to roll back onto it's feet Paarthurnax jumped onto the back of the Goliath's back with its large frontal claws tearing into the giant's shoulders and back as it stuck itself in, with Paarthurnax biting into the back of the Goliath's skull.
And I could hear the cracking of bone matter as Paarthurnax's fangs broke into the back of the Goliath's skull with the dragon ripping it's maw aside to pull the shattered bones out of the back of the Goliath's skull.
Paarthurnax inhaled heavily and I threw up a shield to block the incoming rush of heat. As the large dragon exhaled with all it's might. A blindingly bright stream of molten flames that was clearly aimed at the exposed brain matter that Paarthurnax exposed via breaking open the skull.
'Yeah... Paarthurnax is definitely around level five. Maybe level six or higher in strength and danger level. He is still too slow, though for high-level adventurer's.' I thought as I watched Paarthurnax roar in victory as it ripped a hunk of the Goliath's flesh from its shoulder and began eating it to celebrate it's victory.
I put away the shield I used to block the heat and blinding light and I spoke out to Paarthurnax to hear. "Paarthurnax do you want me to fuse that Goliath into you? You would grow bigger and probably gain a sound wave attack, possibly?"
Paarthurnax however, after finishing his meal, shook his head with his gleaming eye's landing on me before he spoke in his very deep rumbling of a voice. "I would prefer you to only fuse dragons into myself... I am sentient, and fusing other things other than dragons into myself. Makes me feel like I would lose who I already am."
I was silent for a moment before I nodded and said firmly. "Very well. I will respect that... Then let me get the corpse as it's still a valuable fusion material."
Paarthurnax got off the corpse with the dragon's wings spreading out with it humming deeply. "Hmm... The dungeon, I still remember it as an infant dragon. It feels so long ago, and so less clear with how weak my mind was back then." He muttered with a deep exhale leaving him, that made the air sway with the heat he let out with the breath.
After I put away the large Goliath corpse, I looked over to Paarthurnax and spoke curiously. "So have you spoken to Lannseax yet? It would make things much easier for you if you want to leave my Fusion Space if you can take on a human form."
I could see Paarthurnax's look of denial at the idea before he grumbled. "It would be a good idea, as I am well aware the people of this world would attempt to strike me down for existing. I will attempt to converse with the she-dragon... After you do, she is waiting for you to speak with her after that trial."
'Is it just me... Or does Paarthurnax sound scared of Lannseax?' I thought before I realized he might have some memories from Agheel that depicted how Lannseax was almost a princess to the dragon race in Elden Ring.
With that, I quickly put Paarthurnax back away into my fusion pet space as it would be really bad if people coming out of Rivira or from the dungeon saw him.
"Alright, ladies. Let's go explore Rivira!" I called out excitedly and the girls cheered in response... Except for Tina as she just rolled her eye's and followed behind as we left the Wall of Sorrow behind and went through the tunnel leading to the next floor
And in a couple of minutes of casually walking, we left the tunnel and I was silent at seeing the beautiful Floor that was covered in thick vibrant forestry and in the distance I could see the small town of Rivira.
