"What's up?" Su Xuan turned his head and saw it was Lu Dachun.
"Brother Su, my dear brother!" Lu Dachun clasped his hands together, his eyes brimming with tears. "Please, back your brother up here. Don't leave me hanging!"
Su Xuan said, "Did I ever say I was going to leave you hanging?"
Lu Dachun asked, "You've been on the phone for several minutes. Do you have something urgent to take care of?"
Su Xuan laughed and patted the back of Lu Dachun's hand. "Even if I were leaving, it wouldn't be now. Alice and the kids have barely started having fun, so you can relax."
Only then did Lu Dachun breathe a sigh of relief. "Great! I'll definitely treat you to a meal later!"
"Treat me after you get promoted," Su Xuan replied with a smile.
What was meant to be a casual remark moved Lu Dachun nearly to tears.
