"Whoa!" Su Xuan remarked upon entering his luxurious dining room. "Why are you two up so early today?"
He saw the pair of young siblings were already there, slumped listlessly over the table and shoveling rice into their mouths one bite at a time. Previously, the brother and sister would sleep in until nine or ten in the morning. They had been utterly worn out by Alice, who would take them shopping whenever she had free time, dragging them around until their legs felt like noodles by the time they got home.
"Big Sister said a new mall is opening today and wants us to go check it out with her," his sister, Xiao Yun, said miserably to Su Xuan after wiping her small mouth with a napkin.
"I don't want to go," her brother, Shi Yazi, said with a curl of his lip. "The floors in the mall are too slippery, and my feet start to hurt after just a few steps. I much prefer the mountain trails."
