The typhoon swept through, toppling the bamboo on the outskirts. After two or three years of growth, the roots were very strong. When Lai Dongsheng and the others came to clean up, they cut down these fallen bamboo and moved them away, making the Bamboo Forest look much barer.
However, less than a week after the typhoon passed, new shoots surprisingly began to grow from where the bamboo used to be.
It probably won't be long before they grow back again.
After all, bamboo is grass, not a tree, and it grows very quickly.
Li Yu walked quietly through the now much sparser Bamboo Forest, feeling an inexplicable calm wash over him.
A breeze blew through.
The sparsely scattered bamboo leaves fluttered in the wind, swaying.
