After the Great War,
In the Central Continent,
A new Kingdom was established.
A Holy Kingdom,
AZOV.
The people of AZOV follow the Goddess of Justice, EUNOMIA.
And the Holy Kingdom is managed by the Order of EUNOMIA.
There's hardly anyone who doesn't know the name of this holy kingdom.
That's because it was one of the bishops from the Order of EUNOMIA,
Who played an important role in ending the decade long devastating war,
The Great War,
Where every race fought each other to prove their supremacy.
But, how exactly was the war stopped?
A lot of people, especially the children right now ask this very particular question.
As for the answer,
No one knows.
And surprisingly,
The people who took part in the war,
The ones still alive that is,
Don't remember anything either.
It's more like they can't.
Well, that's a story for another time.
And if you are asking,
"Who's speaking right now?"
Think of me as the Fate or Destiny which is recording itself.
Now then,
Before I tell you what's happening right now,
Let me give you a brief information about this world.
MAGIC,
The very thing that is keeping this world alive.
Everything runs on magic,
Magic, in other words, is the manipulation of the universal energy, Mana.
As for the people of this world,
They are not limited to one race.
Humans, elves, dwarves, beastmen, spirits, merfolk, dragons and even demons.
Of course there are other races and most of them are non-humanoids.
As for the Central Continent,
Currently there are nine kingdoms.
To maintain an absolute order among the races, in the heart of the Central Continent, there is the Central Kingdom which acts as a neutral zone for all races.
In the North,
We have,
The Elven Kingdom, Eldamar, where the Great World Tree is located.
To its East,
There is Cyrin, the Kingdom of the spirits and fairies.
To the South of Cyrin,
We have the kingdom of Dwarves, Zeltron.
To the East of Eldamar,
There's Elonia and Theanas, both of which are kingdoms ruled by humans.
Khaebet, the kingdom belonging to the beastmen is located to the South of the Central Kingdom.
And to the South of Khaebet is the Kingdom of Duparcroft which is more like a huge port city.
Let's not forget to mention that there are also countless areas within every kingdom where monster like beings live,
And a lot of people actually earn their livings by hunting these monsters.
Aside from that, there are also many mysterious dungeons, labyrinths and ruins of ancient civilizations.
There are also a few forbidden lands where beings or rather entities, who should never be disturbed, lives.
As for the Holy Kingdom of Azov,
It shares its borders with the Central Kingdom and Zeltron.
Aside from that,
The dragons and the dragonkins dwell in the Eastern Continent, known as The Dragon Island.
The Western Continent, Ashania is the home to the merfolks and the sea serpents.
Diabolus, the Southern Continent, is where the demons live.
As for the snow covered Northern Continent, Snezhina,
That's still an unexplored region where even the mighty fire dragons can't stay more than a few minutes.
But that's not the only unexplored place.
The Great Sea that separates the continents,
The Abyss, located at the center of the Southern Continent,
That's to name a few.
Now, about the Holy Kingdom AZOV,
It may be the only holy kingdom,
But it's just one of the many religions in this world.
The Holy Kingdom acts as a mediator on various occasions among the other nations.
The Order of Eunomia, which governs the Holy Kingdom, consists of one Saintess who is chosen from the Human race every century by the Goddess herself.
The Saintess, who receives oracles from the Goddess, acts as the bridge between the Order and the Goddess.
After the Saintess is the Pope.
The Pope is a female high elf who received the blessing of the Goddess during the Great War.
The Pope oversees the three Cardinals, each hailing from a different race: one from the Human race, one from the Dragons, and one from the Dwarves.
Under the three Cardinals are seven Archbishops who oversee the seven principles.
Climbing down the hierarchy, under the seven Archbishops are the twenty-three Bishops, mostly in charge of various internal and external affairs.
There are fifty-five priests at a time who help the bishops with their duties, preach to the general public, and go on missions to spread the teachings of the Order.
The 119 deacons are the lowest rank of the Order, responsible for supporting the higher-ranking members in various tasks, such as the maintenance of the Cathedral, preparing meals, and other general duties.
The Inquisitors are in charge of investigating and dealing with heresies, while the Holy Knights are responsible for protecting the Holy Kingdom and carrying out missions assigned by the Pope.
The Paladins are an elite group of warriors chosen by the Pope herself to protect the Saintess.
The Holy Army is a standing army formed to protect the borders of the Holy Kingdom and to support other countries when needed.
All of them work together to maintain the peace and order of the Holy Kingdom and uphold the principles of the Order of EUNOMIA.
Ever since the holy kingdom was established, there wasn't a single crime that had been committed within its borders.
"By the grace of EUNOMIA."
A slogan you can hear everywhere in the Holy Kingdom.
The people know that the reason there isn't a single crime within the Holy Kingdom is thanks to the blessing of the Goddess.
Or at least,
That's what everyone believes.
