As I was swimming along, I couldn't help looking up at the surface of the water.
I was currently swimming in the middle layer where it was relatively safe, but I felt like I had already seen all that there was to see in this middle layer.
In that case, perhaps it was time to take a risk?
"It's not like I won't be able to defend myself if something happens."
So with that thought, I started swimming up to the top layer of the water where the larger predators lived.
It didn't take long for one to notice me and immediately start chasing after me, but it wasn't as if I was that slow to begin with. I didn't have the same speed as those small fish that had that burst speed, but I was still faster than these large predators.
Though it wasn't faster than me, it didn't seem to give up.
The one thing that this large predator had was stamina. It didn't matter how long it chased me, it seemed to have the stamina to keep chasing.
