The Apostles had stopped when they saw the light spreading out and they were even more cautious once they saw the barrier come up.
However, they could also feel the danger that came from this thing.
They could feel that the heroes were being healed up by this barrier.
They knew that it would be a matter of time before they recovered enough to fight back against them, so it wasn't something that they could allow to happen.
It was just that no matter what the Apostles did, they couldn't break through the barrier.
All of the black ooze that they gathered to attack with, was turned into dust the moment that it made contact with the barrier. It was as if the barrier was some kind of thing that vaporized anything that came into contact with.
But it wasn't as if this happened with anything else.
It was only when the black ooze came in contact with the barrier that it was destroyed completely.
