After setting out of the town that the Sorcery Empire gathered everyone in, it didn't take us long to reach the barrier that the Sage Council set up.
The reason that we had gathered here was because it was the closest place to the volcano. Otherwise, we would have gathered in the capital of the Sorcery Empire since it would give us a proper place to gather ourselves.
Once we arrived, there were sages that came forward to greet us.
These sages were the ones that were here to maintain the barrier to prevent anything from happening to the surrounding lands.
When they greeted us, the first thing that they asked was…
"Do you need us to do anything?"
I was the one that this question was directed to, but I knew that they weren't asking this just because they wanted to help.
It was clear that these sages were asking this question for the same reason that the Azure Sage came to meet me. It was clear that they wanted to see if they could follow the investigation team down there.
