Though the strange creatures were being destroyed, it didn't seem like there was an end to them as more and more of them came out from the ground.

As I was doing so, there were less and less of these strange creatures that were appearing from the ground. It seemed like whatever was generating them was slowly running out of energy, just like I planned.

At the same time, the strange creatures changed targets as time passed.
It seemed that they recognized that I was the one that was messing with their source of power, so they saw me as a bigger threat than anyone else here. They were targeting me so that I would stop what I was doing.
