'Strange, this has never happened before...' Steve thought as he furrowed his brows.
'What does it mean by insufficient authority to view profile? It's my own ability why can't I view the profile? The only thing that has any resemblance to system authorities is their grade, and if that's the case then why can't I see this person's profile? I have an A grade system, surely an A grade system has a high enough authority.... Unless...'
Steve smirked.
'You nearly tricked me with your bland appearance, but to think that you could potentially have a grade higher than A-grade. The S-grade. A grade that kingdoms would start wars over- nations would topple for. Is it my luck that I found you or my misfortune?'
If Clay could read minds right now and heard Steve's thoughts about how Clay looked bland, he would surely spit blood and grit his teeth at Steve.
"Oh, sorry that I took so lo-" Steve opened his eyes much to his surprise seeing that no one else was there at the auditorium except for a janitor who was moping the floor.
A vein popped on Steve's head as he realized that everyone had left him.
'Bastards, they didn't even tell me. Regardless, I figured out a big secret. I wonder what I can do with this information....' A cunning smile broke out on Steve's face.
'kekekekekke...'

Meanwhile on Clay's side.
"Are you sure it was okay to leave that guy behind without notice?" Clay asked his friend Josh.
"Yeah, it was his fault for not paying attention- I mean, uhh, w-we shouldn't disturb him that's why we left, he seemed like he was deep in thought too." Josh clumsily corrected himself.
"Hmm...." Clay wanted to respond but stopped himself once he saw that the dormitories were near.
They had been walking in this hallway that seemed similar to the others for a few minutes, and now they could finally see the end.
"This should be the lounge area and after that, we should be heading to the dormitories." Clay nodded.
The entire academy was shaped like a huge octagon when seen from above. The hallway that Clay and the others were in was located on the back side of the academy, or at least it would have been in the back side of the academy if it weren't for the spatial magic that made the inside look bigger than the outside. So in reality the various facilities in the academy weren't consistent with how it looked outside, which complicated the orientation a bit but luckily it was explained well.
Basically, all the facilities around the academy can be accessed through the lounge, and the lounge was located around the center of the academy near the training grounds which was located 'outside' the academy instead of inside where spatial magic is applied.
The training grounds were technically outside even if it was in the middle of the academy since there was an octagonal hole in the center of the academy where the training grounds were located. The center of the academy was directly connected to the outside world as it doesn't have a ceiling nor does it use any spatial magic to increase its already huge size.
At least that's what Clay understood from the orientation, in reality, he still felt a bit overwhelmed by the info dump.
Soon Clay and the others entered the main lounge for students.
"Woah, this place is huuuugeee!" A random person commented. To which other people gulped and nodded silently in agreement.
"They really should shorten the hallways though, felt like 2 years walking through that." A slightly chubby person stated as he gasped for breath. To which other people also nodded silently in agreement.
"Everything would indeed feel like 2 years of walking with that type of build, pfft." An arrogant looking young man surrounded by people commented as he snickered, the people around him also trying to stifle their laughs.
"What did you just say!?" The only slightly chubby and plump teen exploded in anger drawing in the attention of nearby people.
"Woah, Clay, look, something's happening." Josh nudged Clay who was busy admiring the school's lounge.
"Huh?" Clay turned to look at where Josh was pointing only to see a slightly chubby guy approaching the arrogant-looking young man.
"Not only are you horizontally gifted, your hearing skills are also following closely behind." The arrogant young man feigned surprise as he taunted and mocked the chubby teen.
"Oh thats IT! You asked for this!" The plump teen rushed to the arrogant person, as if about to start a fight.
"Bring it on, you think I'm scared of a round dumpling?" The arrogant young man mocked him even more as he got into a stance, with people moving away from the two.
"ENOUGH." Sir Andwelf's voice boomed through the chaos, causing many to wince and clutch their ears.
The chubby teen hesitated and pulled back, not before giving the arrogant guy a glare, to which he scoffed and gave a provoking look back, as if saying: "Come on, what are you scared of?".
"Hmm, it seems obvious who started this, but let me ask anyways, who started it?" Sir Andwelf narrowed his eyes at the crowd.
"It was that guy." Josh said, pointing at the person who started it, the person himself clicking his tongue in response.
"Thank you, young man." Sir Andwelf the Sky Ripper nodded.
"You didn't have to do that, pretty sure someone else would've said the same thing. Now it looks like we've got a target on our backs on the first day of school." Clay facepalmed at Josh as he side-glanced the troublemaker.
"Pfft, I'd like to see him try." Josh smirked as Clay could only give a helpless sigh.
"Now young man, it is the start of a brand new term, you shouldn't be making problems this early on, understand? What is your name, by the way?" Sir Andwelf reprimanded the new student trying to cause trouble on the first day.
".... Jake." Jake said as he looked at Josh and Clay with a cold gaze.
"Alright, Jake, I'll be keeping an eye on you. The academy fosters and nurtures talents like you all, we can't have you fighting each other when you guys would have to work together later on. Am I clear?" Sir Andwelf said to Jake, who nodded silently in reply.
"Good." Sir Andwelf returned to the front of the group, continuing in leading them to their respective dorms.
"Hehe..." The chubby teen smirked smugly at the now tamed Jake. To which Jake could only grit his teeth in silence before walking along with the group.
"Oh we are definitely going to butt heads with this Jake guy later on." Clay sighed helplessly.
