"Ohayo..Yuna." as if unbeknownst that I am taking half the mirror,
Yuna is my stepsister, and I want to become the type of character that can execute on protecting her. The best I can do now is pretend. "I hope god doesn't take you away before I am strong enough."
"Wow.. That's pretty deep bro, I love you too." Said Yuna.
"I can't stop brushing midway so I'll ignore my emb-"
"Ooo Onii-chan look at this cavity." said Yuna.
I suppose she's been wanting to get rid of it why did she let it grow so much. " I'll speak with General Arber to get us a dentist, but why didn't you say anything about it sooner?"
"I just.. didn't want to worry you, since you have to make all these calls just to keep use out of danger."
"Well let's eat breakfast, Yuna." I replied with a smile.
"Arigato onii-chan"
Yuna worries me, like she does for me, but honesty, is the best skill I've got to keep this family together though. So I won't start complaining about what I can do. For now this coffee plus my 3 sisters and not 4, because Anby isn't still up, enjoying the food I made is a event that I love. Sure, I've found the challenge of keeping this family together a confusing one ever since my step father died He was kill 9 years after saving me had passed.
However, I got the skills like making choices, honesty and maybe self-control. That's maybe all I have, all I've got ... "General Arber is on the phone." Said Yuna.
"Hello Mr. Arber, I called wondering if you could-" Oh i never thought he'd be the type to interrupt people like this.
"Sorry Eiji! We need to talk but not over the phone, it's better we meet at the local MCRocnals burger place, make sure to bring your sisters too I'll treat to breakfast." Said Arber
"Local? But we already ate." I said , but Arber had already hanged up.
Why would he have everyone go if what hes trying to do is keeping us safe from the government from finding out my step-father had 4 daughters. Unless...
I swiftly finished my coffee. Slamming the table to bring Yuna attention to me
"Yuna wake up Anby dress up, and pack clothes. Everything that you need the most! Not toys well, maybe one! But only what you really need, you hear me? I'll take care of Mei and Hikari!' Said Eiji whilst rushing to the hallway.
"But were are we going!? Are we moving!?" Yuna offed from her chair knocking it, and into Eiji.
"Hurry up! why are you just standing! Move!" Eiji didn't want to waste a second.
"I just didn't think they'd they would decide on this so soon." Thought Eiji.
"Eiji how long are we gonna walk for?" Shouted Yuna, whilst Eiji pulled on her lightly to not hurt her.
"Not long! Just trust me okay." It's said "I made a few calls dad told me to make its just they won't pick up.." I thought. "Anby hurry up! Stop lagging it and walk where I can see you!" Shouted Eiji.
"But why are we rushing? Why did we have to pack our stuff what's going on?" Persisted Yuna.
"I don't know! But we have to move or else.." I said, anxiously carrying Mei on my arm. Then Suddenly, he showed up. He knew I would try to escape.
"Mr. Arber! Why are you here? " Asked Yuna.
Mr.Arber to have that looked down as if pleading to for me not to kill him. Facing the inevitable truth of what I was incapable of preventing, controlling things I can't control.
" Yuna, Anby, Mei, and Hikari. Get on General Arber's truck we have a few things to discuss make sure to put on your seatbelts. Okay? I'll be with you girls in a second." said Eiji whilst lowering Mei for Yuna to carry
"Onii-chan why are you sad?" as expected I couldn't fool the youngest of the four, she saw right through me.
"Mei.. make sure you listen to Yuna and Anby for what every the will ask for is for your own good okay?" I said whilst squeezing Hikari's hand.
"Hmmm!"she replied with nod so cute I my heart could explode. Yuna could only stare confused by the situation placing her doubts elsewhere she obeyed like the good sister she is, as Anby silently followed Yuna. They all sat there in a green truck a color I'll often have to ignored.
I moved so they could only see my back, and not the face of a weak big brother. Arber saw this and moved right in front of me.
"I am sorry, Kid. I couldn't protect you guys, the Governor found out about your father. I am very sorry I have to make you go through this.. The war affects all of us even after it's over!"
"Don't bore me with your sympathy, I know you have a family too, but you get to keep yours. At least send me their ashes so I can lay them beneath a fucking stone monument." I said eagerly wanting to keep my sister minds from wander. I realized I can't control minds so.
"Please Eiji!" Arber pleaded me to not anger me, but I wasn't angry at him I was angry at myself. Atleast that's what I'd like to think. I can't read minds.
"Just gas em up, I don't want their minds to wander to far. I am going to bed I can't stand awake knowing. They'll die like this." said Eiji, somberly walking, like feet carrying a monolith.
General Arber with big powerful hands laid on the floor in togetherness, to keep him alive, you could hear the difficulty in breathing because of the sobs that drown suffocated his lungs. Eiji continued to walk, and he walked for hours he ignored several restaurants, he chose the little noodle and gyoza food stand he would eat out with his sisters, he ignored his sadness like just like the restaurants. He couldn't wouldn't let his guard down.
"Good evening.. I'll pork bone and 五個ください pls "
"oh oh ho! it's nice meeting a fellow Japanese."
"Meet don't I come here all the, wait what happened to Mr. Miyagi."
"Miyagi is no more, he died last Tuesday, but I have to keep the customer coming. " said the old lady.
"Wow! My deepest condolences." very off putting, thought Eiji worried for his safety he observed whether the old lady was ready to attack him with a knife.
" Don't worry I am not angry. I knew it would to happen eventually. I am sad though, you look just like him, he would stand here everyday you know kept food other tummies and mine alike, what more could I ask of him."
"He was a good cook."
" Oh yeah? I thought him how to cook! Hahah!"
Suddenly bowl and side met my gaze. Glistening gold noodles and white boring pork bone broth.
"You know, I just lost my sisters to some old fashioned government paranoia." Said Eiji.
"Government? When? Your sounding like a main character from a light novel?"
"The broth as good as ever, it just a different lady at the stand though." Said Eiji.
"haha, your pretty mean."
"My sisters are perhaps dead already, It happened today if I am correct."
The old lady's face changed abruptly.
"Today? What do you mean today?"
"Yup! Today man this is good stuff! Don't worry I knew it was gonna happen eventually." Done with the bowl I faced an old ladies face, and another serving.
"This ones on the house!"
It better, It's becoming more and more difficult to control all this anger. "I really am monster."
