When Kosta had run into Tamiko in the Reynard lands years ago, it was the first time his heart had truly leaped in his chest. The first time that his omega willingly came to the surface for a moment, and made him want to breathe in more and more.
It was the first time that he breathed like there was someone who would care if he lived or died in battle.
Someone who would not let him go, however crazy things got for them. And even better, he had found someone who gave him more than just a mere purpose. This was someone he wanted to stay alive for.
It had been an assumption for him back then, going through every possible thing to make sure Tamiko had had a good life.
