Maybe a battle would not happen, and Death and the Primordials had an arrangement that both would find mutually beneficial, Eos could not tell. To a degree, it was now impossible to predict the actions of the Primordials; however, Eos knew that for the Primordials to be able to deceive him fully, they had to also open themselves to him.
The Primordials had played a dangerous game, one where only preparation and a great deal of luck had aided them in succeeding. They might have prepared for his arrival for a long time, but Eos had not been an easy mark.
There were many ways that their plans could have gone sideways, and it did, many times in the past, but their control over Fate and Destiny was such that even though Eos fought against their intrusion over his life, they were still able to largely steer him towards their purpose and it was all the evidence Rowan needed to know that he did not truly understand all the essence of the higher dimensional system.
