Nemesis was not just stunned by the blast from Divus; the force of it had pushed his weapon through his body, shredding his hand and a portion of his torso to pieces. Just because he was wielding a Primordial level weapon did not mean that Nemesis could perfectly control it, and Divus had capitalized on that weakness with a single blow.
All of the serpents were linked, like different fingers on a single palm, and so it would be foolish to try to treat each serpent as a singular entity in a fight.
Nemesis had no choice but to embody the entirety of the desert within itself. The first clash with Bahamut had revealed that anything short of a Primordial Level attack was useless against these beasts, but utilizing such forces also came with clear disadvantages.
Four serpents encircled Nemesis. Their movements were eerie and swift, like dragons', as they darted forward, quicker than lightning, and took tiny, quick bites out of Nemesis.
