Lawrence nodded. "I have no objections to that. But if Daisy leaves, we'll be down one operator and someone to help write case reports. Also, what about the requirements for the new recruits?"
"Lawrence, did you forget that our Fourth Squad still has a clerk?" Old Hunter interjected.
At first, Lawrence was puzzled, then he realized. "Damn, you mean Wayne? He finally finished his training?"
Wayne was the second clerk whose name Dean had heard after arriving but had never actually met.
Daisy had complained about this before. With Wayne gone for training, she had to deal with many things on her own. If the Fourth Squad hadn't been so quiet previously, she would have quit long ago.
The issue with the clerk was resolved.
Then there were the new recruits.
