Under the twinkling stars so bright,
A baby deer was born one night.
She stumbled on her tiny feet,
And with her mother, she did meet.
Her mother nuzzled her with her nose,
And showed her where the clover grows.
She taught her how to walk and run,
And how to play, have fun, and have some sun.
But as the days turned into weeks,
The little fawn grew strong and sleek.
She started to wander and explore,
To learn about the world she'd never seen before.
One day, the fawn saw something new,
A meadow full of flowers, all in view.
She wandered in, feeling so alive,
And saw a butterfly, fluttering by.
The fawn chased after, with all her might,
But soon found herself lost in sight.
She called out for her mother, oh so dear,
But there was no answer that she could hear.
The fawn was scared, she didn't know what to do,
She called out again, "Mother, where are you?"
But then she heard a rustling in the brush,
And her mother appeared, with a loving hush.
Her mother hugged her, and whispered in her ear,
"Always remember, I am always near.
Wherever you go, and whatever you do,
I will always be watching over you."
And with her mother by her side,
The little fawn felt so much pride.
For she knew that her mother's love,
Was as vast as the sky above.
And as they walked back home that day,
The little fawn could not help but say,
"Thank you, dear mother, for all you do,
For your love is pure, strong, and true."
And the little fawn knew, as she grew up tall,
That her mother's love would never stall.
For a mother's love is like a ray of light,
That shines forever, so warm and bright.
