Inside the Sanctuary of the Spirit Realm, Alagina used the faint glow coming from the little David at her side, along with the thin starlight leaking in through cracks in the ceiling, to carefully size up the very unusual "Cardinal" before her.
The starlight was extremely dim—perhaps because of that scarlet mist she had glimpsed just now out of the corner of her eye, coiling around the breach in the Sanctuary. She didn't dare look in that direction again, not after the strange Cardinal's warning.
Alagina was a complete stranger to this place, and she had no intention of getting herself killed by ignoring advice and doing something dangerous.
Facing the Cardinal's question, Alagina hesitated for a moment, then spoke,
"I'm Alagina."
"Ah, Alagina, that really is a lovely name..."
The red-haired youth before her drifted over at an unhurried pace, stopping not far in front of Alagina. His words sounded mechanical and monotonous, yet a warm smile bloomed on his face.
