Elizabeth nodded, then rose to her feet with an expressionless face, leaving the council chamber ahead of the others and heading toward the Inner Court where she lived day to day.
At present, she was the only member of the Gedelin Royal Family residing in the Inner Court. She had once had two half‑siblings of the same father, but Elizabeth had sent them all out of the palace, dispatched them to other places.
It was hard to say whether it was power's Rejection of any other possibility, or whether Elizabeth had already gone completely cold toward the blood of this family. In any case, she did not kill them, but she gave them no chance either.
