Greevil and Ardos returned to the cave an hour after they left, while Wes and Evice went to recover and change their plans.
They gathered as many Cipher agents as were available and came back. They thought that the Black Flygon must have buried those kids alive by now, and Eldes was tough, so he should also be able to survive that.
But when they got there, they saw the cave wasn't collapsed, and no one was there. Everything was gone. Immediately, Greevil commanded them all to disperse and search, still refusing to believe that they had actually lost like this.
But no matter where the Cipher grunts looked, and no matter how long they searched, they weren't in the area. They were nowhere near here.
Greevil looked down, his hand tightening around his walking staff, while Ardos was far more angry, "Unforgivable. How dare they? And how did Eldes not show backbone? He should have gotten out. They are just getting in Master Greevil's way!"
But right now, Greevil was too tired to do anything. He slowly lowered his head and walked to leave, but before he left, he let out a low voice, "Send a message. From this point forward, those brats are our greatest enemy."
—
{Meanwhile with the so-called greatest enemies}
Ash was sitting with his legs crossed, munching on a bag of chips, while everyone else was doing something equally as pointless to waste time. It had been a few days since they got together again and hit the road, starting with something important.
Green led them to the place where she took Lily, Krane, Michael, and Jovi, which was a little place at a lighthouse where Lily and Krane had seemingly set up a lab.
When they got there, they were relieved to see them, especially Gary, since they all thought he was captured, but he was fine now. Once that wore off, they explained the situation with Cipher.
But when they explained Shadow Pokémon and how Rui was able to purify them, Krane immediately stood up and looked excited. Krane's specialty of research was purification, and since Cipher had been around five years ago, some people had very vague knowledge of Shadow Pokémon. Krane was one of the few, which was why his research was specialized in purification.
And with Rui's help, he knew he could finish his greatest project, so with some insisting {and begging}, Rui reluctantly agreed to help him.
The result of that was the completion of the Purification Chamber, which, as you may guess, could purify Pokémon. Thanks to the fact it was based on Rui's purification, the Pokémon did not need to open their hearts for it to work.
They tested it with one of the many Shadow Pokémon Green stole. When she put the ball in, it was enveloped in light before dispersing. Rui carefully checked it and confirmed that it was Shadow-free, meaning it was a success. Rui almost cried tears of joy. She didn't have to be the only one doing it anymore. Sure, she could do it, but it also took up her own energy, and if she purified all the Shadow Pokémon, it would take a couple of years.
Anyway, now that situation was handled, there was something else. They learned Ash had a Snag Machine, and considering the fact that it was specifically Wes' version, Ash had Lily and Krane modify his, making it sleeker so he could hide it under his sleeve.
With it, they also used it as a base to create two more smaller Snag Machines and gave them to Green and Gary. However, these were smaller and had the failsafe that they only worked on Shadow Pokémon, like the XD version.
And with the extra stuff, Ash asked for one more thing: the Aura Reader, so that Green and Gary could see Shadow Pokémon too. He didn't need it because he could see Aura naturally.
It took a while and required materials and money. Thankfully, Ash had a lot of that, plus he used the time to track down Cipher's movements across Orre.
Oh, and one more thing of importance: Eldes. Yeah, they still had him captured. After all, why would they let him leave? So they took away his Pokémon, tied him up in one of the spare bedrooms, and questioned him every now and then before lunch.
Surprisingly, Eldes stopped struggling after the third day. He also complimented the gang for how much they outplayed them, while also looking sad about how things turned out.
Ash wasn't surprised, really. After all, Eldes was the one between the two twins that actually regretted what they were doing. He only did it for his father. Ash knew if he could get any of the Cipher admins on his side, it would be Eldes.
And it was surprisingly working. When they told him the progress they made on creating a purifier, he had a relieved expression on his face, and he even gave them some advice, which frankly weirded Green out since he was being so nice.
But finally, the only other important thing was the former Black Pokémon. Once they recovered, they acted like normal Pokémon. Ash even tested them out against his Pokémon, and let's just say they were way weaker than his Pokémon.
It seemed like most of their power came from all the darkness, and without it, they were just normal Pokémon. So Ash just let the group decide what to do with them, along with all the other Pokémon.
Since this lighthouse kind of ended up becoming a mini Pokémon sanctuary, Michael and Jovi spent a lot of time playing with and taking care of these new Pokémon. Michael even found one of the former Shadow Eevee that bonded with him, and that's how he got his first Pokémon, his good old Eevee.
As for what the other Eevee were doing? Well, most of them were girls…and I think you can already guess. They were chasing down Vee. Nothing new here.
So clearly, once he got it, Michael wanted to help, but very reasonably, everyone said no. Even Jovi told Michael he was being a dummy. It was too dangerous.
And one more thing: Ein. Green admitted that he ran away on his own, and she tried looking for him, but she couldn't find him. However, Ash didn't seem worried. In fact, part of him was annoyed. He knew just what kind of person Ein was, and let's just say he would need to deal with it.
But that's where it led us to today, May 19. They spent days here preparing for everything and training to use their new Snag Machines and Aura Readers. At first, it was very obviously disorienting for them.
Green nearly fell over the first time she activated it and looked at Ash, "How do you live like this?" To which Ash just shrugged and told her you get used to it.
But anyway, they were standing over a table inside the lighthouse. Ash pulled out a digital map, and it had three glowing dots at three points across Orre. It was time to launch the counterattack.
"Okay, here is what we have. Based on my estimation, once we attack the first place, we'll only have two days to finish Cipher off before they notice anything weird is going on," Ash explained as he pointed to one spot in the center of the map.
"Here is a place I noticed the tracker on Wes and Lovrina go to the most. If I had to guess, this is the place where the Shadow Serum is made. If we take this place out, Cipher won't be able to make any more Shadow Pokémon."
Professor Krane nodded and adjusted his glasses, "Don't forget, if you can get me a sample of the serum, I may be able to create a cure. After all, the Purification Machine won't work on humans. If what Rui said is true and they can now make Shadow Humans, we will need something else."
Rui nodded and gestured to Yellow, "Yeah, I saw it. Yellow can confirm, she was there too."
Yellow nodded along, "Yeah, almost an entire town was all shadowy. Rui had to purify them all."
"I see. That makes things weird," Ash sighed, "Do you know what it does to people?"
Rui shrugged, "We didn't really wait to see what it did."
"I mean, that is fair. I wouldn't wait either," Green sighed.
"Okay, so we need to be careful with Shadow Humans. Got it," Gary muttered, then looked at Ash, "Continue."
Ash nodded, then pointed to the second light that moved around the region the most, "This one seems like Cipher's Research and Development team, along with the place that sends the Shadow Pokémon around Orre."
"So, in other words, it's their supply line," Gary finished.
Ash nodded, "Yeah, and so that means all the places that they go are hidden Cipher bases." Ash made small dots on the map, revealing around ten bases.
Then Ash moved finally to the biggest light that didn't move at all, "And this one is the tracker on Greevil, so I'll bet anything that this is their main base."
Gary let out a low whistle, "They really just handed us a map to every important place they own."
Green grinned, "You know, I almost feel bad."
"No, you don't," Ash said.
"...No, I really don't."
Krane adjusted his glasses as he looked over the map, "The question is how we approach this. If you attack the main base first, they'll scatter. If you attack the factories first, they'll realize they're under attack and reinforce the headquarters."
Ash nodded, "Exactly."
"So...all three at once?" Yellow suggested.
Ash shook his head, "Too risky. We don't have enough people."
Gary crossed his arms, "Besides, if something goes wrong, nobody can back anyone else up."
"Yeah, so I think we should attack here first." Ash pointed to the serum factory, "I'm willing to bet this is where the majority of the admins are, and their entire production. As long as we take this place over and capture the admins, we can cripple the rest of them."
Then Ash spread his hands over to the smaller bases, "Then it's all of these places. I doubt any of them are important enough to waste their admins on, so Green, Gary, you guys start attacking the bases, and I'll deal with their Research and Development team. We'll need to move fast so that they can't contact the main base."
"Then if we did everything correctly, by the time they find out it's suspicious that no one has contacted them, we should already be storming in to finish Cipher off once and for all."
"Okay, but where are we gonna put them all?" Gary asked, "I doubt we can leave them all here, and we can't just leave them and move to the next plan, or they might alert the Boss. And I don't trust Orre's police to not be corrupt."
But Ash smirked, "Oh, don't worry about that. I happen to know a Ranger that owes me a favor. All we need to do is beat the bricks out of them."
"Oh, I like that plan," Green smirked, "Can I loot them after?"
"I don't care," Ash shrugged, "Just be sure to take any and all Shadow Pokémon."
"And that's where I come in," Professor Krane adjusted his glasses, "All of your Snag Machines can tell if you have a Shadow Pokémon. It will teleport them all here to my lab, and we can purify them."
Rui meanwhile looked down. She already knew she would have to stay here where it was safe. After all, she didn't have any Pokémon. She would just be an extra body they would have to protect. Even over the time they were here, Green and Yellow tried to teach her, but she just couldn't get it down. Some people just aren't cut out to be Trainers.
But before Rui could say anything, Ash looked over at her, "Actually, you're coming with us."
Rui blinked, "...What?"
Ash nodded, "You're useful for this."
Rui looked away, "Yeah, useful as someone who has to be protected."
Ash frowned slightly, "That's not what I said."
"But it's true," Rui muttered, "I don't have any Pokémon, I can't battle, and everyone else here is way stronger than me. I'm just going to slow you down."
"And yet, you're the only one that can purify Shadow Humans," Ash said, "So if we run into them, we can't cure them without you. Besides, don't worry about it. I did say I was gonna be your bodyguard, didn't I?" Ash said with a smirk.
To be honest, even though Ash could potentially learn to do it himself, they did not have the time to risk that or to learn that. It was way more productive if he just brought Rui along to deal with it.
Rui hesitated, but she nodded once, "Okay...I trust you guys."
Meanwhile, Michael burst into the room again, "Please, let me join too! I can help!" he pleaded.
But Lily walked up from behind and grabbed him by the ear, "No, it's too dangerous. What if you get hurt? Think of what Jovi will say," she said, pulling him back.
That made everyone chuckle slightly, but right now, it was time to get on the move. First destination: The Under.
—
{In the Under}
The Under was a huge artificially made town. It was originally made for miners to work, but eventually more people joined in, making this an official town. However, one thing they don't tell you is that this town was pro-Cipher.
People here knew what Cipher was doing and accepted it. That's why the main production of Shadow Serum was made here, and so three admins were stationed here to produce and protect the factory.
The first was Venus, the next was Dakim, and there was one last admin, but he locked himself in his lab, synthesizing more Shadow Serum.
Plus, they used the underground train system to transport the shipments to the Research and Development base, which let them spread all over Orre.
It was here where the gang entered in secret. Ash looked at them and told them the plan: start the attack. He would cut off their communication out of this town. They all nodded and got to work.
Meanwhile, inside the Under's TV Studio, Venus was sitting in her room putting makeup on. She was a woman with fair skin, long brown hair, and she was dressed in layers of pink silk while carrying a crescent moon on her back.
Behind her, without opening the door, a large muscle-bound man with red hair and a necklace full of Pokémon walked in. It was Dakim. Dakim folded his arms as he leaned against the doorway, watching Venus spend far longer than necessary adjusting the same strand of hair in the mirror, "...Are you done yet?"
Venus clicked her tongue without even looking at him, "Dakim, honestly. Didn't anyone ever teach you to knock before entering a lady's room? I could have been changing."
Dakim resisted the urge to point out that she wore the exact same outfit every day.
"Hmph. You spend more time staring at yourself than doing your work."
"Ohohoho! And that's because looking this fabulous takes effort. The people of the Under expect perfection from everyone's Venus." Venus flicked her hair.
Dakim grunted, "The people expect the shipments to keep arriving too."
"They're arriving."
"Barely."
Venus finally spun around in her chair, crossing one leg over the other, "Oh, don't be so gloomy. The Grand Master worries enough for all of us."
Dakim's expression remained firm, "Master Greevil ordered the next batch completed before the week ends. Ever since those children escaped, Headquarters has doubled production."
Venus waved a hand dismissively, "They escaped once. Big deal."
"They captured Eldes."
Venus's smile faltered for only a second, "...Rumors."
Dakim shook his head, "Master Greevil doesn't panic over rumors."
Venus sighed dramatically, "Fine, fine. We'll finish the shipment. Ein's latest serum should be arriving today anyway."
"And once it reaches the Lab, they'll start producing another batch."
"Exactly."
She smiled confidently, "Then everything goes back to normal."
But as soon as she said that, there was an explosion, and the entire TV station lurched violently. The lights flickered, and the makeup bottles slid across Venus's desk before crashing onto the floor.
Dakim caught himself against the wall, "What?"
Another explosion echoed through the Under. This one was much closer.
Venus hurried toward the window. There was smoke coming from the laboratory, "The Lab?"
Dakim's eyes narrowed, "No..."
Then there was a second explosion, this time from the subway district. The rails shook beneath the city, and people outside screamed as they scattered into the streets.
Dakim's expression hardened, "They're coordinated."
Venus frowned, "Who would be stupid enough to attack us?"
Before either could answer, KABOOOOM!! The wall of the TV station erupted inward. Stone, dust, and steel exploded through the hallway.
The ceiling cracked, and support beams collapsed between the two admins,
"Dakim!"
He raised an arm, shielding himself as chunks of concrete bounced harmlessly off him.
When the dust settled, an entire section of the building had caved in, leaving a mountain of rubble separating them.
"Tch." Dakim looked toward Venus, "You alright?"
"I'm fine!" She dusted herself off before immediately checking her reflection in a broken mirror, "My makeup isn't though..."
Dakim let out a long sigh, "I'll deal with the subway." He turned without another word, "If this is an attack, they're probably trying to cut off transportation."
Venus waved him off while fixing her hair, "Go, go! I'll handle everything here!"
Dakim jumped through the hole in the wall and landed outside with a heavy thud. Around him, Cipher grunts were already running in circles,
"Sir! The laboratory exploded!"
"The subway's under attack too!"
"We've lost contact with half the guards!"
Dakim slammed a fist against a nearby steel support, "Enough!"
The entire crowd froze, "Stop panicking! Defend the train lines!"
The grunts immediately straightened, "Yes, sir!"
Dakim took off at a sprint toward the train system.
Meanwhile, Venus walked through the ruined studio, brushing dust off her sleeves, "What a disaster..."
She looked around at the destroyed equipment, "Do you know how expensive cameras are?"
One of the producers ran up to her, "M-Miss Venus! What do we do?!"
She smiled brightly, "What else?" She snapped her fingers, "We go live."
"...Now?" the producer said in disbelief.
"Of course now!" She laughed, "The people need to see their beautiful Venus reassuring them."
Within minutes, the emergency lights switched on, the cameras rolled, and the familiar theme music echoed through the studio.
Venus instantly transformed into her cheerful television personality, "Hi everyone! It's me, your Venus! Everyone's Venus, that's me!"
She gave the camera her practiced smile, "I know everyone heard those loud, scary explosions, but don't panic! Our wonderful Cipher Security Team is already handling everything! If you happen to notice anyone suspicious, be sure to report them immediately. We'll have everything cleaned up before you know—"
"You know..." A voice interrupted from somewhere behind the set, "...For someone who calls herself beautiful...You're kinda wrinkly."
Everyone froze and slowly looked back to where the voice came from. There, leaning casually against the studio wall, stood Green, her hands in her hoodie pockets and looking completely relaxed.
She tilted her head, "I mean..." She squinted dramatically, "...Maybe it's just the lighting."
Green looked around the studio, "I expected the biggest celebrity in town to have a nicer place." She looked back at Venus, "...Guess the budget went into your cheap makeup."
Several employees quickly covered their mouths.
Venus's smile became noticeably strained, "...Excuse me?"
Green shrugged innocently, "I don't know." She walked a little closer, "I just thought you'd be prettier."
She tapped her own cheek, "I think I look better."
Venus's eye twitched again, and Green continued poking the bear, "I mean...you're what?" She pretended to count, "Thirty?...Thirty-five? Maybe forty?"
The studio collectively held its breath.
Venus slowly lowered the microphone, "...Forty..."
Green nodded sympathetically, "Yeah...I guess wrinkles sneak up on everybody eventually." She shrugged.
The vein on Venus's forehead visibly bulged.
Green wasn't finished, "And honestly...If I had your hairstyle, I'd wear a bag over my head too," she said, gesturing to the pink silk she wore around her head.
Venus crushed the microphone in one hand. The cameramen slowly backed away.
The producer whispered, "...We're...still live..."
"I DON'T CARE!!" Venus spun around so fast her long hair whipped through the air, "You little brat!"
She pointed directly at Green, "I RECOGNIZE THAT FACE!"
"You're one of those blacklist children from Headquarters!"
Green waved, "Hi."
"How did you find us?!"
"Nonya business, wrinkly~" Green smirked.
Venus's face turned bright red, "Ohohohoho...!" She laughed, although it sounded much more like someone trying not to scream.
"You've got quite the mouth, but that's perfectly fine!" She reached for a Poké Ball, "I'll squash you myself! I'll collect the Master's reward! And when I'm done—"
But Green interrupted her before she could continue, "Oh good, I was getting tired of talking."
Then they both started the battle, while the cameras were still picking everything up, meaning people around the Underground were watching the battle.
Meanwhile, Dakim ran through the streets of the Under without slowing once.
Around him, Cipher grunts scrambled in every direction trying to contain the chaos, but the explosions hadn't stopped. Smoke poured from several buildings, alarms echoed throughout the city, and somewhere off in the distance another loud boom rattled the streets.
A grunt nearly crashed into him, "S-Sir! The train station isn't responding!"
Dakim didn't even stop, "I know."
A few moments later, he burst into the massive underground terminal. Normally, the station bustled with trains arriving and departing every few minutes, but right now it was silent.
Several freight trains sat motionless on the tracks, while electrical panels had been ripped open and the communication room's door hung from one hinge. Scattered across the platform were unconscious Cipher guards.
Dakim slowly looked around, "...Come out."
A voice answered from above, "Was wondering how long it'd take you."
Dakim looked up. Sitting casually on top of the station clock was Gary, tossing a Poké Ball up and down.
He smiled, "You're slower than I expected."
Dakim folded his massive arms, "Hm. So you're one of those blacklist children."
Gary hopped down from the clock, landing lightly on the platform, "In the flesh."
Dakim studied him for a moment, "...You're the one that escaped Headquarters."
"Yeah."
"And now you've come back."
"Yep."
Dakim let out a booming laugh, "Daahahahah! I wondered who had the nerve to attack Cipher. I expected an army. Instead, they sent a child."
Gary shrugged, "Worked so far."
Dakim's smile disappeared, "You've got confidence, I'll give you that."
Dakim took another step forward, "You've made quite the mess of our base."
Gary gestured around the station, "Thanks. I tried."
Dakim cracked his neck loudly, "Don't think I'll underestimate you because of your age. Master Greevil warned us exactly what kind of pests you are."
Gary smirked, "And yet I'm still standing in your train station."
Dakim laughed again, "Daahahah! Good. I prefer opponents with backbone."
He reached behind him and threw two Poké Balls at once, "I'll pound a lesson into your flesh and bones, so you'll never even think of bothering Cipher again!"
Gary smirked and pulled out his own Poké Balls, "You can try. Try to entertain me. Weaklings bore me."
When he said that, it hit a nerve. Just like Venus was obsessed with her beauty, Dakim was only interested in strength. Being called weak was the thing he hated most.
Meanwhile, Gary sighed, wondering how Ash was doing. This shouldn't take long. They had a time limit, and they also had to remember they were doing all of this with no Pokémon Centers or healing since Orre didn't have any.
—
Meanwhile, in the lab.
Ash, Rui, and Yellow moved through the facility, with Ash and Yellow taking on grunts as they came one after another. First, Ash took them to the communication room, where they found grunts trying to contact the outside of the town, but they couldn't.
That was Ash's doing, or rather Porygon's. He hacked the system the second they arrived. No signal could get in, and no signal could get out. But just to be safe, they still beat up the grunts and Shadow Pokémon.
Eventually, as they started moving deeper into the base, closer to the lab, they continued forward while Ash sent all the Shadow Pokémon he had snagged over to the lighthouse lab for purification.
As they moved together, suddenly, a group ran up in front of them, blocking the way from going any further. Six people, all of them wearing Cipher armor, but each one had their armor in different colors.
They were the Hexagon Brothers. One wore red, one blue, one brown, one yellow, one purple, and one green.
All six pointed dramatically at the trio, "We are sextuplets! We are! We are! We strike terror throughout the land!" the red one shouted proudly.
"For we are the HEXAGON BROTHERS!" all six yelled together.
"Sound off!"
The blue one immediately snapped into a salute, "One!"
The brown one saluted right after him, "Two!"
The yellow one raised his hand proudly, "Three!"
The purple one followed, "Four!"
The green one crossed his arms confidently, "Five!"
The red one proudly raised his fist into the air, "Six!"
Then the six of them looked around, "...Wait."
The dramatic pose slowly faded as they stared at each other. Red narrowed his eyes and started counting them again.
"One..."
"Two..."
"Three..."
"Four..."
"Five..."
"Six..."
He frowned, "...Brothers."
Everyone leaned in slightly, waiting for the conclusion.
"I think..." He slowly pointed accusingly toward Ash, "...there are seven of us."
All six brothers gasped, "SPY!"
Ash blinked, "...There's nine people in this hallway." he said helpless though he didn't know why they were counting them they were very clearly not wearing Cipher uniforms
The brothers froze.
Blue slowly looked between everyone, "...Wait..."
He began counting again.
"One..."
"Two..."
"Three..." He pointed at Yellow.
"Four..." He pointed at Rui.
"Five..." He pointed at Ash.
"Six..."
Then he started counting the brothers.
"...Seven..."
"...Eight..."
"...Nine..."
The six brothers immediately huddled together.
Browsix whispered, "Math has betrayed us again."
Purpsix nodded solemnly, "It always does."
The brothers continued whispering for almost twenty seconds, occasionally pointing at each other and nodding like they were solving a life-changing problem.
Finally, they broke apart. Resix dramatically pointed at Ash, "...Enough! Whether you're a spy or not, this is no kiddie playground! We've been away a while, but this real estate here has belonged to Cipher for many years!"
He crossed his arms, "If you don't quit scurrying around..." He narrowed his eyes, "We'll have to tell your mommy!"
Yellow slowly raised her hand, "...Ash."
"Yeah?"
"I don't think they're very good at this."
Ash stared at the six brothers, "...I don't either."
Rui looked between them, completely confused, "...Are they serious?"
Ash nodded, "I think so."
One of the brothers immediately turned toward them, "We are VERY serious!"
"Our seriousness is sixfold!"
"Our brotherly love is sixfold!"
"Our food bill is sixfold too!"
Ash paused, "...That one actually checks out."
Yellow couldn't help laughing a little.
Resix puffed out his chest proudly, "That look on your face..." He pointed dramatically toward Ash, "It says you're not about to obediently go home."
Ash looked around the hallway, "...We're literally inside your laboratory."
"Exactly!"
"...Where would we go?"
"...Home."
Ash stared, "...We're several hundred miles from home."
"Then walk faster."
Ash just stared at him, "...That's your plan?"
Resix opened his mouth, then looked back at his brothers, "...Should we battle them?"
The six immediately formed another huddle.
Whisper.
Whisper.
Whisper.
Browsix raised a finger, "I vote yes."
Blusix nodded, "I also vote yes."
Purpsix scratched his head, "...I forgot what we're voting on."
Yellosix raised his hand, "I just like battling."
Greesix crossed his arms proudly, "Our battle power is sixfold!"
Everyone stared, "That's five votes."
The brothers slowly turned toward Resix.
Resix hesitated before raising his hand, "...I also vote yes."
Ash blinked, "...Couldn't you have skipped the meeting?"
"No."
"The meeting was important."
Ash stared at them, "...What did it accomplish?"
The brothers stood proudly, "Democracy."
Ash slowly looked toward Yellow, "They're somehow dumber than Team Rocket."
Yellow nodded, "...I didn't think that was possible."
Meanwhile, Rui had been silently watching the six brothers, and she noticed something, "Ash."
"Hm?"
"They're covered in Shadow Aura."
Ash's expression immediately changed, "Wait, really?"
Rui nodded slowly, "All six of them."
Ash activated his Aura and focused on the brothers.
And nope. Yep, she was right. All six of them were covered in Shadow Aura.
Rui nodded, "They're all Shadow Humans."
Ash looked back at the brothers, the same six brothers who were currently arguing amongst themselves.
"No, I'M Brother Number One!"
"No, YOU were Brother Number Four!"
"WHO STOLE MY NUMBER?!"
"I DIDN'T STEAL YOUR NUMBER!"
"I THINK THE SPY DID!"
Ash slowly rubbed his forehead, "...These are the Shadow Humans?"
Yellow tilted her head as she watched them argue, "I mean..." She looked at Rui, "...I kinda expected something more scary after the last one."
Rui crossed her arms, still staring at the dark Aura surrounding them, "Yeah, I was expecting emotionless super soldiers."
Ash nodded, "Same."
He watched as one of the brothers nearly fell over while trying to argue.
"Not..." He paused and gestured at them, "...whatever this is."
Resix suddenly turned around, "Huddle complete!"
The brothers immediately stood at attention.
"The Hexagon Brothers have reached a unanimous decision!"
Ash sighed, "...And?"
The brothers looked at each other. A few seconds passed.
Then Resix slowly lowered his arm, "...We forgot what we were talking about."
Ash buried his face in his hand, then put a hand on Yellow's shoulder, "You know what, Yellow? You take care of them. I can't deal with this."
Then he quite literally just walked right past them, and Rui ran behind him. That left Yellow alone with these guys as they tried to make a pose together.
