If it were just someone giving away or selling such things without knowing what they were, then the matter could just be overlooked.
There did exist cases where Balancers or Watchers had lived in a family a long time ago and had passed on such things to their children, and told them to pass them on to their children from then on.
The problem was that as time passed, such things would lose their meaning as they were passed on, and they would be forgotten in places where they were stored until a day came when they were taken out from there by those who had no idea what any of it was.
If those people needed money or just needed to clear out things from their home, then they would just sell it or try to find another home for it, rather than choosing to destroy it.
