Either a group of people had gotten together to deal with him, or someone had paid others to go after him.
The main problem was that he had no information on who was behind it all, and he could not think of anyone who might be motivating such people to come after him in such a way.
It was very frustrating for him to be the one on the run and not to know anything about who was after him.
All that he could do was to try to run away when he sensed danger or to respond by attacking them to hurt or kill them.
It was especially true since a lot of his pursuers, who were targeting him, were not like his usual victims.
They were much bigger and stronger than those he usually targeted, so he could not use the same methods he had perfected over time to deal with those he had harmed so far.
The use of force that he had to apply to deal with them was not the same as what he had to use against someone much younger, smaller and weaker than himself.
