A light brighter than the rest bathed me and shined as my body glowed with a bright light as it blinded nearly everybody in the church. Soon the light faded as the high priest looked at me flabbergasted. Silence echoed throughout the room as everybody waited in anticipation for the announcement from the high priest.
It was my father who broke the silence and said, " High... High priest. Quickly tell us. What gift did my son receive."
The high priest still staring in disbelief at what he saw. " Your highness... you should feel blessed... Your son, has awakened the holy element!"
At his announcement, everyone in the church erupted in excitement, shouting, " Long live the King! Long live the prince!"
However, all this noise was drowned out by what was going through my mind. Holy element? King maker system? I did not know what this meant. Furthermore, it seems like the high priest also couldn't read that I received something else. Something entirely different too. When I was reincarnated, I was wondering if I received a system or if a system was even a thing.
Soon enough as this thought raced in my mind a ring and voice came forth.
' The King-maker system. In every race, there will be one chosen person who received a King-maker system. Someone chosen to be King. Every King-maker system is blessed with a unique ability and system tailored to them.'
I asked. " What does my system do."
' Your system, is one that allows infinite growth. Allowing you to see your strengths and abilities as well as mix skills.'
Well... that is awesome. However, as if a bucket a water was poured on me. It continued.
' Once you received this system, other chosen ones of the races will also receive a notice that a new king has been born. As there can only be one king in the world, whoever kills the other who also has the system, can steal the ability of the user and their system. It also tells of which race the new king has been chosen.'
Well, I'm f**ked. I'm still only four years old.
I then asked, " Will I be singled out."
' No. Each King-maker system protects its host from being identified from the other. Only through one's own ability and perception can one figure out another'
" Well that's at least good news."
Before I could continue with my thought process, I was suddenly lifted in the air. I looked down and saw my father below me. As expected, it was him. Behind him was my mother and sister, jumping and crying for joy at the magic that I received.
Leo, " As expected of my son. You have awakened an element not seen for centuries. The holy element. How powerful!"
After minutes of celebration, everyone in the church settled down, but still showed excitement in their faces. Looking towards the high priest for a short explanation for the type of element that was received.
The high priest cleared his throat and said, " The young prince has awakened the holy element. Just like the light element, it has the supporting type of magic to strengthen and heal a person, but the holy element in particular is far stronger and special. Unlike the light element that can only support oneself and another, the holy element can materialize and be used in combat and heal powerful curses."
Loud exclamations resounded once more as everyone celebrated at the news. This symbolized the strength and potential as well as prosperity that I can gain for the kingdom.
Soon enough all the nobles and important figures alike approached me and my father as the congratulated us for the blessing that I received.
What seemed to be hours of this going on and everyone soon settled down, the high priest announced the end of the ceremony and everyone left the scene and we were already inside our carriage and on our way home.
Inside the carriage as everyone was still slightly excited, there was also a tense air going around.
Mary, " Honey, although I am glad that this happened, I am also worried."
Leo nodded and replied, " I know. We will have to prepare right away. Greedy figures will soon approach us and even attack our country once they get the news."
However, my sister still slightly ignorant or excited at the news of me gaining a never before scene ability hummed happily as she clung to me.
Leona, " Leo, Leo. Hurry and learn how to use mana. I want to see your magic."
As excited as I am to receive something unique, I was also worried because of the news of the king-maker system.

Looking at my status I began to question each one.
Race: Each race is gifted their own unique ability.
High elf/elf: High life-span; easily living up to 800 years (slows aging once the hit the age of 21). Born with strong mana and if awakened, ability to see at night.
Human: Short lifespan (80-120 years). The standard and most populace race. No particular strengths but an adaptable race. Can be blessed with either strong element or physique.
Dwarf: Slightly longer lifespan than humans(200-300 years old.) Blessed with inherent strength and dexterity.
Demon-kin: Long life-span(100-800 years). A tainted race that was blessed with great strength. However, cursed with no ability to use light or holy element. [Varies with type of demon]
Beast-kin: Average life span (100-200 years). Are not able to use any of the elements, but instead blessed with strong physiques.
Title: Different titles grant different buffs.
Chosen one: Chosen to be king. [Unique skill/element and system]
The attributes are self-explanatory.
"It seems like I was given the ability bonus of night vision."
I then asked the system " Does my king-maker system come from my elf race?"
'Yes, as a human king has already been chosen.'
" I see."
I immediately put the divided stat points into speed and dexterity.

Immediately feeling slightly lighter and feeling more flexible than a moment before.
I then asked the system, " Can the other system also add stats to themselves?"
' No, this ability is unique only to you as this system promotes infinite growth. '
A sigh of relief soon left my body. This system actually suites me more as I am more familiarized with this type of system.
As I began to learn more from my system a notification also pop up.

By the time I arrived home, it was already late in the evening. A huge dinner awaited us as close friends and family were waiting outside the gate entrance.
Common talks as congratulations was made.
With my father sitting at the head of the table he made a toast. " Thank you everyone for coming to congratulate my son for a successfully awakening and for his birthday today, lets celebrate, eat, and enjoy our time together.
During this late dinner, I met several kids around my age and slightly older. Learned of their names and element they received at their ceremony and congratulated me for awakening a strong element.
After two hours of dinner and socializing, the day was finally over and everyone had left small party.
Walking sluggishly to my room with my parents and sister following behind, they gave one last smile and hugged me tightly.
Mary, " Congratulations son. Once again, happy birthday and congratulations on your ceremony. Thank you for coming into our lives and we wish that you live a long and happy life."
She gently kissed me on my forehead and tucked me into my bed and wished me a goodnight.
As soon as they left, all of the remaining energy left my body as I slowly fell into deep sleep, not worrying about the daily mission I received.
