The two walked through the side entrance of the school building, passing a few early students along the way.
Arthur has gotten a nickname, 'Playboy,' because of his interaction with not only Rias and Akeno but also with the girls from his own class.
And now seeing the strict student council president with Arthur caused few to raise eyebrows.
But Sona didn't comment on it. She simply walked at a brisk, measured pace toward the student council office, the sound of her heels echoing faintly through the corridor. Arthur walked just behind her.
Her hip swing side to side was a beautiful scene for his eyes.
[You need to stop ogling her like that, sir. It's creepy.]
'I am not ogling her, Friday. I am just enjoying the beauty. And you should really stop criticizing me. You should enjoy your life like me.'
[Like you? Sir. You are a centuries-old pervert who is currently acting as an 18-year-old to get into the pants of some 19-year-old devil. And you are ogling your sister-in-law. While your four wives are still here.]
'....Technically it's five, including you..'
[....]
'...Sorry, Force of habit.'
[Don't blame it on habit, sir. You currently have much more bigger problem to deal with than playing with Sona and other.]
[Currently, we have no idea what your children are doing as of now. I can't see the future of 11 of your children. They could be doing something to undermine your authority, sir.]
'Friday, between you and me, you're the one who's supposed to be level-headed.'
[I am level-headed, sir. I am just considering all the possibilities. After all, it my duty to keep you from harms.]
'I know. And I also know that I shouldn't tell you that even if we are the strongest or the wisest, we can't always control everything. As long we live, we will always make choices that is not always rationally right, but we still chose.'
'My time with my children is some of the most beautiful memories I have. If I had killed them just because they will try to usurp my power, then I wouldn't get as happy as I am now. And Friday, all the things I did were for my own happiness.'
'And honestly, Friday, I am somewhat proud of them, well, except for their unnecessary killing and all.' Arthur said, unknowingly, a smile bloomed on his face.
A genuine smile of happiness.
Friday didn't say anything in return for a moment. Just as they reached the door to the Students Council.
[Please do enjoy the cake, Sir.]
'Cake?' Arthur asked, but Friday didn't reply.
Sona opened for Arthur to enter.
"After you, Arthur," Sona said.
'Shouldn't it supposed to be opposite.' He thought to himself but didn't comment as he entered the room.
Once both of them entered, Sona closed the door behind them.
"You've been… rather busy lately," Sona said as she walked over to the large desk and placed a few documents down. "With the events at the church, Raynare's imprisonment, and now Asia Argento's transfer, I imagine your plate is full."
And Arthur, on the other hand, sat down on the couch. He couldn't pinpoint what she was getting at from the look on her face and is not going to complain about it.
Since that was the case, he leaned backward and made himself comfortable. "You could say that. Things are finally starting to settle, though."
Hearing that, Sona nodded.
Cough. Cough.
Sona cleared her throat as she was about to say something important.
And Arthur also noticed the air around Sona changed.
'She is not going to confess, is she? No, that's too soon. And I didn't do anything that can win her heart over, well, other than defeating her at chess.' Arthur thought.
And just like Arthur predicted, it was not a confession; instead, it was much worse.
"Do you have any lovers, Arthur?" Sona asked as she pushed her glass up. A move she did to hide her blush from Arthur to see.
But Arthur didn't care about that; he just froze as he continued to look at Sona's eye. His smile was also half-frozen.
If he wants, he can just lie and make Sona hear what she wants. But looking at Sona's face, Arthur knows he can't tell a lie because it will fall apart very soon.
After all, Sona is the sister of Serafall. If she asked Serafall about Arthur, Serafall would tell the truth. And the trust will be gone; after all, in her view, Ancient One is scum, and if she knew Arthur and Ancient One were the same guy and he told a lie about not having any lover while having Serafall as his wife, then it would only cement her thought of Ancient One as scum, and her trust in him will be completely broken.
And if he tells the truth, then Arthur's chance with Sona will get slim. His Incubus insight told him that much.
So what Arthur needs now is not a lie and not the truth either, but a mixture, which will give him a lifeline if things go south.
Of course Arthur can ask Friday for the perfect answer, but there is an understanding between them to not ask for help in women's cases. It's something Arthur decided for himself. If he still needs help with women, then what's the whole point of being an incubus with a job class {Ruler of Lust}.
"As of right now, I have no 'lovers.'" Arthur said. "But I am a polygamy guy."
Sona just looked at Arthur for a few moments. "Figures."
"Why do you ask?" Arthur asked her, ignoring her small murmur.
"Oh, I think you know why I asked." She said as she turned to her desk and took something from below.
A box.
'Oh, It's the cake, Friday said.' Arthur thought to himself. 'Serafall did say that her sister's cake is delicious. It must be my lucky day to try this for myself.'
