Archer sat there listening to Aisha explain that the government is setting up food distribution centers to hand out meals to all the different areas of the empire, surprising him as the Dragonkin woman continued talking about everything she'd been arranging while he was busy with the war.
''You've been busy, it seems,'' he said, smiling. ''Well, thank you for everything.''
When the redhead heard this, her face lit up before she walked around the desk and wrapped her arms around his shoulders in a love-filled embrace. This sent a shiver down his spine as she leaned down to kiss him. Her soft lips connected with his, and he felt all the affection radiating off her.
Following this, the couple continued kissing until Aisha broke away, sitting in his lap and resting her head against his shoulder, a smile crossing her face as she finally spoke. ''Yes, I have been busy, but it's something I love doing.''
