Chapter 147 - RDD 146

RDD 146

"Here's your order, Sir."

"Thanks. Your business is really growing. Hah, back then the line was mostly just ten people, but now it's twenty people waiting in the line. Um, I know I'm stepping the line, but I think you guys need to hire one or two workers. Oh, and make the kitchen bigger so more burgers to cook."

The customer in front of me said it with good intentions. I'm not offended. In fact, I knew that the shop needed to expand.

However, the shop just opened for more than two months and we just renovated the shop.

As for hiring another worker, the one responsible for being the waiter, I'm still looking for one.

Perhaps I might post a hiring request on the wall of the shop so that people can know that we are hiring.

I looked at the customer who recommended me to expand the kitchen. If I remember correctly, his name should be Pedro and he has a friend named Juan.

He ordered four burgers and two sodas, probably for two people. They are working in a factory of noddles, I think.

Because we are close to the entrance of FCIE, where hundreds of factories are located, there is no lack of customers. These customers have money to spend on burgers. Especially when our burgers are delicious.

Still, we can't defeat the eatery next to us. That place is making more than PHP 50 thousand every day. Although their expenses are bigger than us as well.

Anyway, my wife said to me that there was a car parked on the other side of the road, in front of our house. There was an old man inside the car and he was looking at the kids.

I don't know why I'm thinking about it. Perhaps the old man was just passing by. Still, I can't get over it.

It's already 3:30 pm and our burgers are going to run out. Signaling that our work is going to be finished.

Even though we increased our sales of burgers, they are still sold out every day. There are instances that a few burgers will not be sold but these cases are rare.

Our sales grossed more than 20 thousand pesos but 1/3 of that is our expenses. Meaning, the profit would be around 15 thousand pesos... Honestly, that's a big amount of money in a day.

With that amount, I'm quite confident that the mission this time will be accomplished. Perhaps around 70 to 80 days.

Hiring another worker and increasing the number of burgers definitely helped a lot. This time, I'm relieved to know that.

While I was busy facing the customers and asking for their orders, I narrowed my gaze and found a certain car going to the entrance of FCIE. The funny thing was, I recognized that car...

It was a Porsche 930 Turbo. My grandfather bought one around the early 80s. As for the price, I have no idea how much this car is. All I remember is that my grandfather loved using it. This car is my grandfather's first sport car and he cherished it very much. Because of that, he loves to brag about this vintage car.

However, he stopped using it because he didn't drive anymore. Grandfather has his own driver and they usually use a Rover car, I believe it's a Rover 800 R17.

Suddenly, an old man who was holding a cane stepped out of the car. He was wearing eyeglasses, and he stared at me, narrowing his eyes. I instinctively shuddered as I realized who he was.

......

...

...

Old Bradley was looking out the window, staring at the scenery. Yet he couldn't help but click his tongue.

"Back then, this land was mostly farms of coffee. But now, all I can see are establishments and buildings."

Back then, he would see people drying coffee beans next to the road. The scent of coffee was alluring, something that he missed.

The driver glanced at his boss but decided to shut his mouth. Whenever Old Bradley reminisced, he wanted a quiet atmosphere.

Old Bradley sensed that Jeremy and Sean were hiding something. So he decided to talk to them alone. At first he wanted to talk to Sean because that grandson of his was the most suspicious one.

Unfortunately, Sean was mostly out of the company, he would visit the construction sites or play with his girlfriend.

So Old Bradley didn't have a choice but to find Jeremy. Jeremy was the first grandson he ever had and his wife and him pampered Jeremy.

They thought Jeremy would be the most spoiled one, yet turned out he was actually the most sensible one. He was smart, hardworking, and gentlemanly. Although he loves his work too much...

Old Bradley wanted to talk to Jeremy, trying to probe his oldest grandson.

The driver turned left and reached the entrance of FCIE. Out of curiosity, Old Bradley looked at the shops near the entrance. His son, Ernesto, bought a shop and currently renting it.

He frowned when he saw a line of people, who were trying to buy burgers. For this scene to happen, the burgers definitely be delicious.

He then looked at the open restaurant, he chuckled when he realized the answer to his question.

Now he understood why Sean and Jeremy were acting strange.

"It's a good thing that I'm wearing my eyeglasses. Or else I will never notice him."

"Sir?"

"Stop the car."

Old Bradley ordered and the driver stopped it. He was confused as to why his boss wanted to stop the car but he decided to listen.

"It seems that there's no reason to talk to Jeremy anymore." He smirked and fixed his eyeglasses.
