Chapter 1 - Chapter 0: liar / goodnight kiss

Within a forest with trees that seem like giants that seem to eclipsed the moon to a person on ground level. All that could be seen was darkness, all that could be felt was heat that overwhelmed the coldness of the night, and for a moment, all that could be heard was complete and utter silence of the night. Until-

Midnight: [-You promised me! YOU SWORE THAT YOU WOULDN'T!!]

Midnight: [AAAAH!! You lied to me, AGAIN!!]

-anger leaked into a sorrowful voice which broke the silence, yet the darkness remained. The darkness and a warm feeling unkown to him was enough to awaken his very being and allowed him to slightly open his eyes.

Midnight: [WHY!?, WHY..!?]

With her head in his chest, the girl with raven hair who is holding him tightly to her chest was shouting this words repeatedly like a broken record. It must have been annoying for him, no?

No, it wasn't.

The girl couldn't comprehend the reason as to why he would do this for her. In her mind, a "person" like her was unfit to live. By saving her life with a lie, he has doomed himself in the process.

Midnight: [-LIAR!!]

[LIAR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR

LIAR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR

LIAR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR

LIAR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR LAIR!!!!!!!]

That word echoed throughout the night then within his mind, repeatedly and barrow itself into his very soul. That word she said must have hurt him to an astonishing degree.

Adonis: [….Sorry]

Regardless of the use, a lie is still nonetheless a lie. Words meant to reassure a person, reaffirm an action of a person, and comfort her have been dismantled, shattered before the girls very eyes. Her hands held dearly to her heart which was surely distraught by this [lie] that was in addition, causing her reality to cave in on itself. The boy, Adonis, has committed a unforgivable sin. Betraying the one and only person whom he thought could love him.

Midnight: [You-, you-]

With her voice breaking and not able to utter a coherent word no sentence, The girl who's raven hair reached down to her legs was in emense distress. Her trembling legs gave out and she immediately dropped to her knees. Trying to keep her composure was utterly useless and tears forced themselves out of her for the boy whom was laying on the ground. Crimson covered her hands as the boy had lost too much blood. Surly his body was near cold at this point, and gasping for air only worsen the pain that was displayed on his bloodied face. The boy's own blood clogged his throat as he chucked up more of his own blood profusely.

Midnight: [ADONIS!!]

Adonis: [Ugh-!!]

Steady coughing up his own blood, Adonis couldn't think. He was in excruciating pain and I imagine it was hard to do so. He was mentally lost and drowning in thought while physically drowning in his own blood.

Midnight: [HELP!, SOMEONE!!!]

Looking frantically behind her, her desperate voice yelled out into the night, but her pleads for help fell upon deaf ears. No one could hear her as no one was there besides her and Adonis. No one would find them where they are now. There was nothing but enormous trees for miles and miles.

Midnight: [Please…]

No one was coming. No matter how hard she pled, no matter how loud she begged.

Adonis: [(I'M GONNA DIE I'M GONNA DIE I'M GONNA DIE I'M GONNA DIE I'M GONNA DIE I'M GONNA DIE I'M GONNA DIE I'M GONNA DIE I'M GONNA DIE!!!!)!]

Adonis vision is as long gone by this point. Thoughts of [DEATH] flooded the mind. Adonis did not know where he was anymore, he didn't know how to make it stop, nor did he have the slightest idea of when it would, but he did know that [DEATH] would claim him. Adonis life was flashing before his eyes as memories thought long forgotten from a time where he felt bliss in a place he never expected it to be, reemerge like a daydream.

Her skin, that was close to the midnight sky itself: he would never touch again

Her warmth; he'll never feel again

Eyes akin to the white moon; would he remain the only one to be look at by her?

Her cold hards; would never touch him ever again

These were things he shouldn't think of. They only made him want to die sooner.

Why was he thinking these this for such a person as herself? What could she have done to him feel this way towards a person such as her?

With every passing second Adonis heart rate was declining, slowly, and slowly. His eyes fell upon themselves as he desperately tried to force them open but to no avail. It, like every else, was pointless.

There was nothing she could possibly do. His vital organs were torn apart from the inside. All that was were a wound in his abdomen and blood slowly pouring from it. Sensing this was the end of Adonis, the girl whom heart he undoubtedly left an impression on, gently stroked the right side of his face

Midnight: [I'm sorry…but I can't live without you]

As the girl with raven hair leaned forward to the boy with blood on his mouth, and within his lungs. Her face etched closer, and closer, where the [heat] resided.

Midnight: [I'll never leave you behind again…]

Adonis did not hear those words of comfort, words of reassurance that she would forever stay at side until the end. He was already dead, and soon, so was she.

Midnight: […I promise]

The girl's mind was made up. No thing nor anyone could persuade Midnight to put a stop to what she was about to do. She frantically searched through Adonis ripped blue jeans, blood stained white shirt, and finally his leather satchel where she obtained an black obsidian dagger. Her determination did not weaver in despair and grief, at the moment, she was not rationally thinking.

Sitting on her knees next to Adonis cold, lifeless body, she took a glimpse of his dead corpse. It pained her to see it even for a second. Her heart was beyond repair. There was no way she could muster the courage nor strength to do this. She thought "what would he do?". That was a idiotic question, he would without a doubt not hesitation do it for her. Should she do the same?

With both hands in the obsidian dagger, she looked at the sky once more, pressed the tip on the blade to her neck, and instantly lounged it through her throat and trachea. The dagger ruptured her throat, but the dagger didn't pass all the way through. If she wanted a quick and swift dead it would not come as she expected because [death] isn't merciful. Her death would come rather quickly than Adonis. His eyes were forever locked onto the moon.

Above the gigantic trees, only thing in the night sky besides small stars were clouds only illuminated by the bright moon.
