“Alright, how’s this babe?” A man wearing a tracksuit nearly as red as his hair stands on a ladder to adjust a large plaque on the wall. His brown eyes glance at a woman below. “Is this straight?”
“Hmm…I still think it’s tilted too far to the right sweetie. Move it to the left just a smidge.” The woman brushes a strand of her brunette hair away from her green eyes, as they focus hard on it.
“You said that last time when it was left, so I moved it right. Now you want it left again?” His voice is filled with mild annoyance. “Look, I think it’s as good as it’s gonna get babe. I’m done.” He steps down the ladder and faces the frowning woman. “Come on, don’t be mad at me babe.”
She presses up on her glasses with a sigh. “I’m not mad Gabe; I just want everything to be right today. We’ve all been working hard for years to get this clinic established. I don’t want to fail.”
