Nadia sits up with a gasp, startling a young woman. "What happened? Where am I?!"
"Calm, calm, you okay." The woman speaks English, but awkwardly, as if it's unnatural to her.
"You came from a long way. You are creature of night. Very hurt when you come. You slept long time. 20 years. Now awake." She offers her a bowl of food. "Not blood, but good. Eat, eat." She encourages her. Nadia hadn't had much of an appetite when she woke up, but she suddenly feels like she hasn't eaten in ages. She humbly takes the food and eats it rapidly, quite satisfied.
Nadia offers a polite smile and says, "Thank you." The woman bows and returns to what she was doing. Nadia looks around and sees many things she's never seen before, realizing they must be in a far-off land. Then it hits her. "Keiko?!" She turns to the woman. "Please, where’s Keiko?!"
The woman looks at her with a confused expression. "Oh! You mean priestess? She sadly gone."
