Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 [Edited]

The spaceship I was currently in was making a tremendous ruckus. I could barely think in there

Suddenly, the noise stopped, catching me off guard.

Are we already on the ground? That was fast, or so I thought.

At first, I believed that we had arrived, but feeling that the vessel was still in motion and deducing from how everyone was floating off their seats, I concluded that we were in outer space.

We were getting close to entering the atmosphere.

But once this small journey was over, what would we do?

What would I do?

Getting stronger was great and all, but if you had no purpose then it was in vain.

I suppose that I would first have to learn about how to persist through my future hardships and survive and then later maybe I could strive to learn about my purpose.

After all, learning about the point of my existence is a luxury that I will not be able to afford any longer.

Screens that I didn't even notice until now lit up. With the face of the Chancellor on them.

He started talking about how this was a second chance for the one hundred criminals that were onboard this receptacle and how they were sent to the ground instead of all the others since their acts against the law made them expendable.

"Your dad is a dick, Wells!" commented a random guy.

*vessel shaking*

I could feel that we were entering the atmosphere due to the shaking inside of the vessels which was an exact indicator of what was happening.

A guy with what looked like a green hat had detached himself from his seatbelt, causing two others to foolishly mimic his example.

*boom*

The parachutes opened causing the rocket ship to abruptly stop and the three boys who were floating around were blasted across the ship, one of them knocking down some pipes.

The landing itself was rather quick, to me at least. It might have seemed a little longer to the others who thought they were going to die.

Everyone was detaching their seatbelts and leaving their seats. When a tall man was about to open the door, Clarke yelled not to, saying that the air could be toxic.

The male responded that if that was the case then they would all die regardless.

"Bellamy?!"

Oh no, this is taking an eternity.

This moment was somewhat awkward for me, it wasn't the same as in the series, obviously.

"Do you mind, my brother and I haven't seen each other in a year,"

I shouted loud and clear, "Nobody cares, just open up the damn door already,"

Octavia not knowing who said that looked like she wanted to punch someone in the face.

I could feel the anger coming off in of her thanks to my powers.

It was only thanks to her brother who was holding her back that she did not act upon her intentions.

So this is Octavia, from what I've seen, she was very impulsive and emotional. And from what I remember, her goal at the beginning of the series was to free herself from the rules that made her life a living nightmare.

She was rather attractive, though, for me, her most peculiar physical attribute was her chin.

Some might other things argue that it was her eyes or her slim body (which was too be expected)

But I stand by that decision because that is the only characteristic that she shared with her brother Bellamy.

Bellamy was a tall moderately handsome man. I hated his character at the beginning of the series but as the storyline progressed, I discovered how much the remedy to all character flaws, character development, was effective.

Anyway, they finished talking and opened the door.

Finally, I thought we were going to die in there.

"We're back, bitches," yelled an excited Octavia causing all the others to rush out in a frenzy.

I turned around to look at the bodies of the dead idiots that were behind me.

I then dragged them out of the drop ship to an open area, that would be suitable for burial.

Looking around, I spotted the black guy sitting next to Clarke.

If I remember correctly, his name is Wells.

He followed me with a shovel, wait what.

Where did he find a shovel?

"Hey, you're Wells right, mind passing the shovel, please," I asked politely.

"Sure thing, uh..."

"Preston, my name is Preston,"

"That's a nice name," he complimented.

"Thank you, I usually don't hear that very often,"

I dug up the earth until I could stand at full height inside the ground and still be hidden by it.

It was rather rapid, enhanced physique and all. Probably took an hour in total to dig out the soil. And maybe another dozen minutes to refill the pit.

I then undressed the first one and put him in the makeshift tomb, and then put some of the dirt back on top of him.

And then it took maybe a dozen minutes to refill the pit.

I did the same for the second one and then gave all the clothes to Wells for safekeeping even if I knew he probably wouldn't keep them.

Bellamy would rob him after all.
