"Can I be alone for a while?"
Nan Jiaojiao's brow twitched slightly, and she glanced around indifferently, "Okay."
Song Yuan quickly said, "You go back first, the sun is too strong, don't get sunburned."
Nan Jiaojiao replied faintly and walked away.
Song Yuan watched her enter the surgical inpatient building, a slight smile on her lips, a trace of satisfaction in her eyes.
She stayed under the sun for half an hour, her face turning red from the heat, she wiped her sweat with her sleeves several times, yet fine beads of sweat still covered her face, betraying a sickly pallor beneath the flushed complexion.
She quietly glanced towards the shadows, roughly estimating it was time, and feebly grasped the edge of the wheelchair wheel. Before she could move, the wheelchair was suddenly held by someone.
"Heading back?"
Song Yuan froze, looking back like she had seen a ghost at the suddenly appearing Nan Jiaojiao, "Why are you still here!"
"I've been here all along."
