The conversation stirs to other companies, making use of her being the judgement all contracts are being agreed on. Even gods of different pantheons are borrowing her network system of sigil as in her presence the clothus laws and outsider laws are active. It is why she uses abnormal sigil gestures - she is required to. This ripples to all and everyone around her. Even humans, not that they know they are. Its why no one is comfortable or confident to match her level of conversation. Ignorance by those unaware will label her an unwelcomed stranger, holding bias to; not approach, apporve or take anything she says as real. This she comes to known as a universal way of other souls avoiding her. The point being, this is why sigil doesnt act normal around her and thus all these beings are making the opportunity. It is plenty conversation to side track. They all soon have completely forgot her existence temporarily.
She ate silently, long after she had stopped tapping under Ravens chair. She was deeply listening but no amount of active conversation takes her interest. Even to point of hearing souls and seeing the fates tied. All these creatures were beautiful to gaze carefully without attention. She glimpse of the vessels which gods are here and she can see a terrible sin. Erebus eyeing Deaths wife. Leana couldnt grasp what the gods have war with themselves about. Yet it will have a mirror reflect on the humans here. Arthur leans watching the god and goddess - he caught on what she was actually watching too. He also made the effort to lift the tome and was shaken to his core about the outcome the tome showed him. That shiver. He looked at the two and then at Leana.
'Stop Erebus.' He words and she wafted in asking how. He just wants her to intervene. He pleaded with just wanting her to speak up. She smiles to Arthur for the permission.
"Erebus, a man of shadow seeking another's bride. Gods are odd beings. You really wish to be plagued by revenge at the bone hands?" She spoke fluently of god speak, shattering peace, "You also spoke with Zeus. Made poor Zeus cross pantheon for worldly advice. You fed Fate lies." She closes her hands at her front with down glare, "This is a warning Erebus. I have no power but it doesnt mean I cant make some to punish you accordingly. Is it really your souls wish to ruin? Its quiet the running theme... ruin."
The last spoon to the dessert dish was dropped and plenty are pale. Not everyone understands her and even less knew who or what. There is that bit of them that backed away from the energy.
"You dont need to handle anything, so why stop me?" Erebus vessel snarls, hand slaps the table surface. The flex of gemstone sheen flickers in the light as this Vessel faces Leana in fury. Showing the influence of the true title at work. She noted that is significant yet for a later potential, an omen she can read about the a future event.
"I act with what I am granted. Who would grant me permission to act?" She checking deeply of the vessel knew or if the title was active aware. She studies deeply to figured there a little mistranslation between vessel and gemstone title activities. She has even sense a disparities in the host too. There something more, yet she cant work if thise vessel is this local Erebus or an Outsider. The Mage society on show to her has been non stop of souls outside this universe handle. Mages clearly are humans infected or influenced by outsiders. She can taste the energy of not belonging to this local tome through each of these mages and most vessels. She suspecting a lot of ideas, but wishes not to assume anything.
"Stop touching me." Erebus cast off her shadow clouds, "How dare the filthiest soul from no where touch me!" She didn't even reaction for what is meant to be insult. Even so, gladly Erebus is swayed from whatever made Arthur ask her this favour for. The vessel of Erebus and his allies are, for the time being, backing down. Arthur nods that was enough.
"The erasing of gods in unnatural way which you are choosing to do by a letter at time is no difference to the consequences. There a cost you don't know to each of those letters you ruin. It isnt just the one soul you mess with. You mess with the entire chapter. The entire language codex. You just barely break the densities of lands." She pointed to everyone in a slow left hand glide to each god vessel, "I counted four letters have been ruined. I am sure there is more but these four are a matter of surviving." She sways back to the vessel of Erebus, "Erebus, you only have one left." She slides gaze in measuring the real shape of the body this mock human is and lowers her hand, "You are needed here, no matter the problems you make."
Arthur shuffles the tome books, Josh too at his side - sharing the title of ender it would seem. They both see exactly as she meant. Arthur spends time trying to mind work the issue while Josh whispered plenty of the advice he can. She folds with waiting on Arthur's command. She waited as all the other enders too. She was invited here. Arthur and Josh are the belonging here. She can see the shuffle of the invited and the hidden Enders. Even her own servants like her lost Death god title soul whom sees in her services a lot lately (his from his own tome, lost somewhere).
"Is it a lack of energy or faith?" Whispered among enders that never seen the soul name issue before and plenty have their guesses from thier own experiences. She noticed how there was someone among the red hands that making mental note, an ender of another tome. The shinigami leans to her brother with whispering about tome activities. Her brother looking in dread as his head lowered to hid his face.
"There are many hidden gates from humanity. Some of these have become the responsibility of gods. I suspect Erebus is mad at me for a gate. I am the life in water and there are many gates underwater." Lady Death in her vessel speaks up. Golden gown enlace of sea monsters and underwater gemstones. She looks fragile and thin as a death goddess, but inhuman fish like eyes and breathes air like humans. She is indeed still gleams of life in otherwise gloom and darkness. The slim against all odds, the embodiment that death loves deeply. He likely in other universes scrons and hates in the same passion.
"Gates underground are mostly my domain." Erebus snaps, "You are going to one. The hidden London." The vessel glares across at lady death.
"And you think those things are her creatures?" Leana chuckled finding the issue, "No gods made those things. No. You blame humans for those puppets." Erebus looked shattered by that and Lady Death nods agreeing. Knowing of them and her hate for them. Forced life things are against both life goddesses. The goddess of life (regardless of which sister it is) has no approval for made anything that isn't her hand work, "I am glad one misunderstanding was fixed."
Arthur has his own way of repairing the local tomes, each universe has its methods granted to the soul book binders. Given she gave attention for it, his able to influence the local names to improve. Erebus and other gods being able to not fall grace and not make more problems has allowed Arthur fixed it. In turn this smoothed the mood and plenty sit back as the final dishes are being taken away.
"What are you able to disclose about this unlondon?" The king putting conversation in his contorl.
"The public awareness states it was the remains of the great London before the blitz. That it is an entire self governed city underneath the one we know. It started with great scientists whom had shared goals. The place became hostile and the projects were meant to be shut down. It has caught attention because of unknown kidnapping off the London streets. This has become normal again. No one bats an eye to the missing. Any sight of these attackers is handled by the partners that we agreed with." Raven speaking up and with the minimal that is to offer. The king shook of that being not enough, "There been a significant enough change that needs our magic craft to handle. Be it the collaspe of the underground - without destabilize the above ground dwellers. Or. Worse. The detail of how worse can it be. It would be allowing the underground monsters to roam among freely." She crossed her arms and lean at Ravens side. Knowing he said to much but barely enough.
"Unlondon is a facility that a public order project was created. They experimented on food, medicine and drinks. The lights are flickered at intervals to change your subconscious. There are gas traps and other sealed cursed objects." That seems what everyone wants to hear and grin keenly for more detail, "They were experimenting to speak to the dead at somepoint. And with the intention of hiding London's population from nuclear waste, there was a police force of made puppets." Plenty nod finding her input helping to Ravens point, "These puppets are part of the problem. Testing your morals as you live the underground. Things became themselves and thus the scientist were made into puppets." The monsters being once people made plenty shrink back from the thought of this task, "Deemed dangerous. It was sealed and cut access from outside itself. Occasionally some folks are sent in to check the conditions. Can't have London collapse itself." She smirks and soften to the king.
"The biggest reason we are being called to a dangerous place. Is as Erebus said. There is a gate there. This means the unlondon is no longer sealed and who knows what mix there is now. If the puppets are killing itself or if they had an upgrade to accessing new things. This also doesnt bow well to the trapped cursed objects. There a lot at work in factoring the dangers." She scans the room and sees now it will not be just Raven and Her going to london on this trip, "There are some good things in keeping it." As the total demolition was sparking in plenty eyes, "The experiments with food and health has continued to this day. Cure to cancers and diseases have been made there. There are reported people whom been cured and sent out as untampered humans. Registry into becoming part of the system isn't hard. Unlondon citizenship is very easy. It is one of those safe places to be in a nuclear ruined world. You followed their rules and you could actually live a comfortable long life. Your morals will always be tested, your value to the place is always tested."
"It is if you break the rules." Raven drawing their attention back to him, "You become a puppet. Experimented on. You try to escape against the systems will, you will be slaughtered. If you have poor morals, you will be made an examples of. Using your body to test others, trapped in your body. There are cursed ones down there. Be it angry spirit objects that keeps the spirits of victims from influencing the surface. Turly a spiritual hell."
"Its someone's hell for sure." She agrees.
"I can understand why you took precautions to hide the data." The king mage nodding, "The more people in your company, the worse it becomes. You kept as much as possible from being detailed outside your circle. As there is some attractive things for why someone would break in and become part of the problem." The king makes a waved to the red hands, "I take that your not swayed from this."
The group stares of her and Raven, sliding to the king with bowed heads. She eye rolls of how clear it was them to spy on this. She suspected something of a cure for some among them. Looking to cheat deaths curse. She can sense more then that. Some of them came from the gates, they arent tome locals. Its those others without this locals death curse, marked with even worse curse. She ignored it for Arthur's will. They plenty know she of the same soul influence as them. She could edit their names, if Arthur asked it.
"Leana..." Lady death whispered so softly, Leana tilts to listen, "The plague... the transmute one is there. Suffering jointed bodies." Leana lowered head in figuring out what gate is open. She also noted the potentially of meeting acquaintances. A particular dairy keeper and seeker of the cure.
"What did she say?" Raven asked with leaning to Leana ear. She was a little flustered with how his breath tickled her ear, as he masked his question as trying to calm down her tension.
"A warning. We are going to need hazard suits. This has become even more dangerous." She whispered softly in his ear while turning away from the table. He was more flustered, leaning into the soft hug. Posing like she needed shelter from her families gaze. As if she was the one hurt to see what has become of her status in front of those she once loved. In a way, she does feel this distance between, a wall that divides her from mother and brother. She is however being mature and cares to focus with her real priorities. Her broken familial ties can thread bare and bleed without her input. She does sting but not to be reactive about it. As she pretends to be reacting of it.
"We have plan to cross in the gate. So no amount of death trap it is. For us, it is a one way trip. We cant stay here." Leader of the red hands speaks, "We know about the real nature of Unlondon. We have minimize impact best we can of exiting and closing the gate. There is someone else that needs to consider leave too." Glaring to Leana.
"That's up to my husband." She sighed like she repeated this fact plainly already, "My real nature cant hide forever but it is in his hands. If my dear husband wants me here, I will be a good wife and make do with the scraps."
There a plenty that turned at each other with wondered her deeper meaning and what exactly is the issue of her being here is. The between the lines is clear, that Leana is something not human and even maybe very dangerous. Given it was open topic, plenty looked to Raven for clues. He had to straighten up and shake of the daze.
"My wife has quiet the merchant skill. Her skill to sell taboo items has become important for this mission. I am hoping that her bargin will convince the locals of Unlondon that we can passage among its streets without being killed on sight. Even carry out any magic craft to repair under the ploy of being skilled services." Raven posed hand in noble court gestures of mage morals, "Given she has already an apartment within unlondon, we can maybe spread this to being a one trip over four days inside the territory." A particular woman among the red hands just fainted, as that partner lifted and carries the stressed woman out of sight. A whisper of German conversation, fast lip and weeping.
"And why do you have an apartment in a sealed area that is of no public access or public awareness?" The king mage glares. She matched the kings gaze and for a while it simmers in her lips in not sure how to answer. Even at the tip of the tongue, she doesnt have the air for it. It was only then that her expression was blank and vacant.
"My wife's past before, what lead to her lost humanity doesnt matter anymore. Asking her about it is no different to asking a damned how it became." Raven makes it plenty clear by removing her whole face off, "As she has told me, its best to leave the monsters in the gloom where they dwell. Yes?"
"Yes, leave the monsters in the gloom that they linger within." The lacking area of a face is where sound came from. The face Raven is holding was turned into a crystal object. A flawed frosted thick stone that isn't carved or human shape. Plenty backed off away from the table in seeing the nothingness inside. Plenty god vessel hissed and curse. Even hidden slink away from her, rocking themselves calmly at the floor. Someone, not really sure if they even meant it, was praying in long script prayer. Raven puts her face back in place.
"But seriously, what classification category do you belong to?" Her servant Death god title, a man use to her strange, blurs rudely. He was actively visible in a mock body and postures annoyed. As if it bothers him to the point of burning itch of his curiosity.
"This universe lacks any bothered studies of soul." She retorted plain English and then she shifted speak as dweller of Nocturm, "The local true title of death is currently unavailable. All and any other true title gods are unable to reply to the locals in any unfiltered reply. Sigil keeps shattering when I bother trying to access my personal information. And there isnt anyone able to soul speak; other then my husband. But his unable to handle lose any sanity." Raven back hand play taps her arm and she realized the language shift. She cleared her voice to local Mage talk, "It doesnt matter whatever I try to tell you all." She posed her left hand flatly in waving away all that energy from the gods and people, "I am not here for anything but my husbands grace. He brought me here, he keeps me here and I stay here. I haven't any goal, scheme or reasons but him. No fate or omens bothers me. No amount of what I had in the life here is any reason for me to bother you folks. Plenty aware I dont belong and very sure my lacking human nature is very real for you to witness."
"Lady Marinette or Penheart; regardless of what name you are. You are the only one that was the lead researcher into cursed objects. You are the one with access files for the cursed objects. The only one that was using them to speak to the dead. Do you remember? Do you know your intentions for why you did that?" Spoken like some accusation and plenty weapons are out. So many stand defending whomever they hold dear. Raven hugging around her in this play like she was about to strangle someone. But even at his own shock, she wasn't angry. She doesnt resist his handling.
"I own that sin for sure. Yes, I suspected my private collection of cursed souls had to be kept somewhere. I know what my intent was at frist and how things have changed since. I was cruel because I was uneducated and lost." She slips out of Ravens arms and instead holds his side comfortably, "I guess I should make things up for those I left behind and made suffer. But I dont regret it. I did learn so much from the projects and what I gained from such pushes of law. It kills yourself. A part at a time dies an agony beyond any hell. Yes it was cruel of me, but I did it for myself. I did it beyond any explanation deemed acceptable among you." She stares empty foewards, "All of it doesnt mean anything anymore. The true goal is over. I no longer have anything to loose or gain. I shall however be a good soul and do what is right. Be it repair broken souls. Find homes for the lost ones. Make peace with those enraged by me. Clean up yet make peace in what cant be changed." She tilts broken and not human, "What is done is done. History is mark. Nothing will change that outcome. I have to accept what I was given, so will they." Ravenpostured his hand at her neck, forcing her to be human like. Making her not seems so lifeless and empty. Pulling her close and trying to encourage some depth of humanity to stir. It does work, she was out of her daze and meets leaning into him with accepting that warmth. That he accepted her, or even if just to make her feel human for now in front of others.
"A creature of the red pond pretending to be a human. What a beautiful show." The machine man clapping to the show, "I need popcorn." He stands, "Researcher of the Helix foundation; Broken souls keeper. Yes, with a long time of translation. You transcend human lifetimes; maybe a reincarnation or you just seem to found flow to work the soul ways. You keep appearing in some very interesting places when doing any data related research. You made several monster encyclopedias. You have been the top of many content studies for answering what is souls and how they work." Pointing at her with a strange smile, "Lady Marinette. What did you get for retirement?"
"Exactly what I always knew. Exactly what I deserved. And no matter what i did to change things, the only part that mattered was that I can accept it. I did what I could. Spent the last ounces I can." She flatly open her hands, "I doesnt matter. I can't imagine you understand it."
The sharp back and forth. Weapons lifted to strike each other. The deep stare into her.
"You aren't going to warn them?" The agent adjusted confused, "You know what there is. You said it in our last talk. The plague. You know the extend. You stamped the researcher paper of someone about it."
"I dont need to. The true god titles have already been preparing this whole entire time. I dont have to bother but you already told every government. The fact that you are using a machine body behind a VR gear controller told me that you already knew. You didnt tell the res hands, amusing really. You didnt tell the death order. They are the last ones to be informed. You told the mages. This king is the older brother, not the father. Yes. Very good show. A theater play. Look at them squirm uncomfortable." She chuckles.
"I am ready for it." She gleams in boating pride of this, "I have done this before. I know what I am. I am interested in how the clothus became infected." She showed her not human sode in such a expression following her next words, "The parasites of clothus too. It was so bad that an entire universe bleached its tome pages clean." She grins wider then a human face can pull.
"I suspect many other tomes have did what it assumed to fight the inflicted. Monsters you assume. Oh boy. All the animals that no one accounted for. What happened to the other creatures life made in all those other tomes. You thought humans were scary." She chuckles, "You are right. I do appear in places about to face dire times." She smirks into a drawn back human mockery.
"I am just some sign sent by Omens, kept here by his follower. Here to tell you that you all beyond screwed. There is a small chance of surviving. The time ahead is going to be worse then any hell many. I want to be a bit bold and say there will only be the strong to survive this new way of life." She gleams deeply over all, "No magic will repair what comes next. Some other universe tried that."
"I had even suspected that my dear husband brought me here selfishly to make sure there is a slim chance to survive this. A sort of guarantee." She postures about her torso and without care, puts her hand through the gaping hole of her body, "My organs are not in the right human places. But my DNA is human. A few failed tests, and even times of it matching missing person data's. But it is by some way, still human DNA." She sees the last helplessness, "I knew all along. I knew the moment I woke up going to college. I knew back when I looked back at those faces as I met the waves and the silver sword in my gaping hole. I knew." She crossed her arms.
"I didnt cause it, I didnt make it and I didnt want it on even my own enemies. I built the Helix foundation in countering against this universe eaters poisoning. I not yet found the cure. Seeking it like everyone else. Inflicted like everyone else researching it. I am just the outsider. Warning you its coming." She gave a deep hum and continues ranting, "If you find the Zoo keeper, which you will eventually. You will be at the peak of the decay. When you find the AI men of the crystal civilization, you will have passed the worst of it. Rose quartz machine is the tome holder of that boundary. The rose made of stone, that grows and becomes herself." Leana sighed, "Who knows, maybe you find the vampire. The huntress who became the cog of the core to her mock planet. That's if you wish to run away to space. Its a suitable option then total flesh melting apocalypse and nuclear melt down."
She folded up. She let the air pull them all from head splitting head aches. Unable to fathom the complexity. She stares at whom will become what. Seeing Josh and Arthur becoming a creature. She can tell the red hands will become one being. Her brother escapes to being deaths melted with other vessels of death. She sees her fate becoming Ravens meat body, that she will hybird as one to him. Her soul may even be trapped inside his body. She accepted that. She sighed that it will likely that his soul will devour her. This was maybe what her final time of page turning becomes. His obsession nature, to erase her when they are both dead. Unable to all a part of himself to flee his comfortable places. She smiles blankly to the point of so many scattering to leave. Exposed of being figured out. From mage king replacing his father to red hands lowered heads in shame of shock she knew. She knows what they carriered between them, already showing symptoms. The very food ate today was tainted, all the mages already trying to cure it with magic. No amount of divine can separate the tangling DNA inside everyone.
"Truly ground zero, thanks to the red hands." The machine man of SCP Foundation nodding as he knew like she does, "How does this work by your words?"
"A painful decsent to body modification. You drip and loose. You stick to others. You collect. Cacccon. Wake up either hungry or lost memory. Depending how many brains you gained, learn to live again. Caccon when a brain dies. Divide them you decay and dying." She hugs around Raven, "the less human aspect come the longer you in touch of beyond." She caught Omens vessel and place him to Ravens heart. Collecting this vessel into this twisted shared DNA.
"You ok with being with him?" Asking with staring deeply in her eyes.
"Was it a choose? Fate? Omens didnt always will it." She sees her flesh weeping, meaning she was in a later stages of this conversion then anyone else. The tomes are already integrating into her flesh. Madness erupted the hall, the servants are long melted puddles, not strong personalities or that they lacked enough as individuals to survive stage 1. This strain of the transmute plague was much stronger and faster acting. Its likely many of the mage tower are inflicted and this was the starting pot.
"Sleep." Betwitching her soul again, she collapsed as without a fight in her. Raven scopping her off the floor, Omens released from her hands. It was time to exit like everyone else. Raven made no mistakes to never look back from the cursed people rolling flesh off.
An undertaker disc gate is opened, he run into it without hesitation. Arthur and Josh came too. Leaving the disc to collaspe behind them, gone is that living realm for the time being.
