Chapter 184 - Talk of Sigil's rumors

"First rule of walking into an establishment of oath hunters." She proudly seems became the one introducing this type of setting to both lads, "The warning labels arent a joke. Everything that is written on this door and the corridor leading up to the bar is rules. It's a nice way to learn terms from demons to angels. You have the occasional pretend humans. The rules of safety is on the wall. And this place will always have a big fish protective of these rules. So when it says dont smile with teeth showing. They really mean it. So if someone smiles with bare teeth in there, they didn't read the rules or are about to kill you." Raven nods making his notes. Arthur tilted at the signs in reading them, but there is also hidden details his able to as a damned.

"We arent ranked enough to go in." Arthur reads one the rank limits.

"You can in my company. In fact, hanging out with me makes excuse." They looked at each other and back at her with raised brow, "I have ranking to even have omens in there. Which by the way, he wouldnt have been allowed even if you had the ranks to do so. Being a god vessel, his open game to some creatures. Even if this is the human realm where poaching gods is frowned upon." Omen flustered with needing to change shoulders. Raven leans protective of Omens. Arthur leans closer at her as if she was protecting him from Omens divinity. She roll her eyes.

"Right so we follow the rules as asked. We just walk in?" Being unsure as Arthur reads the rules again.

"Pick a table or to the bar. Sometimes you get folks that approach for trading, they have to sign. This is what you must see. If they do it wrong, they likely a demon trying to buy your soul. The frist part of a greeting tells you where they had walk through. The middle is what they promise to not do to you. The last part is to watch you return the signing. If you dont reply, they mostly walk away or stare at you to put fear in you. Depends on what it is. The angels are annoying. They mind read your thoughts at you until you pay attention." She huffed annoyed, "Not as annoying as a shadow. They do that silent staring to the point of being awkward and uncomfortable." The lads do another round of looking at each other and back at her, "You just reminded me."

She lazed a waft and brought up the darknet sigil pane. She starts clicking through her options and some fine tuning her displayed information. She back hand away of sudden book, back into darkness. She then proceeded to click her tongue rapidly and the screen prompted new options. She stopped tongue clicking and now plays at those settings.

The lads are a little backway from her as she changing before thier eyes. As she softly finished the prompts on a screen that Arthur can't see, she waving and poking the air for all he knows. Raven can see the two colored panes and tilts deeply with a cautious tone about her accessing both. Her appearance altered to how she would as Penheart. Twisting into her monarch look. A thin puppet tall body, broken clay face that floats as shards that suggests expressive face features. She still the same height for her human age and she has note all her creep factoring features at display. There isn't her torso hole, lacking face or a tome floating at her. She can't help that her claws hands are back and this way meant her jawline was visible to her neck. Her tendrials of clothus clothes takes the lads softly, and a little bit knots on Omens foot. She placed hands at each shoulder and slides them with her.

"Did someone just open a gate?" A patron at the bar asked the reptile server. Leana opens the second door through and gentle at making the lads sit at the nearest and empty booth leather seats. She poses that she will be back with drinks. She ignores the many examining her. Plenty of the hunters have scaled her and lean judging her as a threat or not. Some lean towards the bar keep for protection.

"If you are the one, the one that keeps god eaters for pets. I would suggest keeping them away from this place." Leana heard as if warned but she stared confused with sliding a stare at Tyr. A Small black kitten, being fussed by a grime reaper. Appearing cat and normal; hasn't clearly meowed yet. The fact she slide a stare at the kitten right after that made the reptile pause. Leana was eye brows suggesting of the cat and bar keeper narrows darker. So Leana huffed and wedged herself to block the grim from being clawed.

"A sweet little baby playing with reapers." She speaks god eater to the kitten and softly approaches. Scooping the baby away from the grim. She loves all over. Once satisfaction is met, Tyr move on. The bar reptile lifted a big thick book with being confused. The grim lifted the tome to research. Thr grim becomes engrossed by the tome tamper tantrums. The book spitting ink and slamming closed. He plenty occupied with trying to not let the tome eat him. So the reptile and Leana can focus with each other at peace.

"Dont bother writing an entry that it already has." She ripped her shoulder cloth and is alters into a book. A book that flustered alert and shuffling its pages. Soon landing at Twilight's personal page of her crimson soul background. New data is being flowed into the tome, filling gaps and repairing lost letters, "A beautiful name. It's not as lovely as someone else but its up there in my top favorites." Tome closing and peels back into cloth, "I wish to either restart a liquids trade or we can spend time playing strangers. Either way, I want my slayers delight and two vapor meals. A shot of vapor nectar."

Her feet tap the floor with being happy to see Twilight in this life. Her hands sign the needed no soul trades but service repairs are available. Twilight's plenty listening and plenty afraid the longer Leana stood here. It was long with putting examples up at the counter. There a small pause of watching the tomes progress of calming down with the grim. Leana makes a little snort and the book going back to melt down with the grim. Twilight looked concerned this time, seeing Leana as the cause. Leana wicks a little and back focus to their talk.

"I don't have ingredients for your order." Trying to refuse.

"I can not mix cocktails like you." Leana trades back. Putting the line of measured shots along the counter three pitchers of god ales. A casket is soon rolled and leaned next. Twisted in deep shock that this was expensive aged good quality everything. Even the cheap drinks have aged to a higher alcohol proof. Twilight takes plenty of the stock and passes over rare materials of bone, ore and coinage. When a blood casket was passed over of the dreamland creature, Twilight formed out personal funds for that. When the passing back and forth of goods was all over, a slip receipt is signed by both sides.

The grim finally got the tome put away, a sigh of relief too. He looked about how Twilight was pouring up a one her crystal cups of the Slayer delight order. He goes to voice about how dangerous that drink is. He came to only loose words as he realized Twilight didnt have the ingredients a second ago. He slided scaling Leana waiting, she glances back to the lads and omens. She turns back forward, adjusted her jaw. She grinned to much and popped the joint from socket. She click it loudly, and all lower ranking oath walkers scam. Money laying tables and chairs half hazard about. She sighed like a human in relief of her jaw back alignment. Twilight rolls eyes and place tray down.

A tray of four cocktail drinks is prepared. Leana carries it with ease. Smooth slide steps, barely a pattered sound from her feet and as if floated through the obstacle. Those still here watched the shadow around her straighten those chairs in her way. Unseen hands putting the place back in repair. She nods to this table and pats magic to breath the table surface. All the years of scratches, scuffs and wood chips; erased as if installed today.

She gave Omens his first, watching the bird shift into a man. Seated close to wing hold his follower. She passed both vapor drinks to the lads and sits down. The lads explored the malleable vapor texturing in their cups. Arthur brave enough to sip it like a drink. She gladly they liked it. Sliding hers to herself. She took out a long silver dagger and began stirring her toxic drink to the last layers.

"You know what your drinking?" Omens asked cautious and moving the lads away from her. She looked up from the colouring show of dissolving densities and grins happy with herself. Lifted the now half chemically melted silver dagger. The grim reaper at the bar counter slips into a concerned muttering toward twilight. Twilight sighed like its business as normal.

"Lizard lady, you have a whiskey?" A very down on his fortunes guy can barely sway his feet across to the bar. As a human, he stentched up the place as a dirty drunk. Walking into several unhappy hunters and flattering tables. Leana noticed he was shadow stealing form pockets. She tapped this out to Twilight, reporting him as a disturbance of peace.

"Mr Darkwood, stealing from the pockets of path hunters will only bring you closer to meeting death. If I caught you taking from my patrons one more time, I will have the highest ranker here escort you home." He jolts and his shadow puts bits back now. He barely makes it around and whispers also at the bar. Leana back stirring her slayers delight. More vivid colour's are soon expressed. Even Arthur stares impressed of the altering nature. Omens and Raven are distracted by the brooding bar people.

"And with the entire dagger into the mixture." She lifted and twirls a little last bits. She stood with it and then downed the whole content in one swing. She clattered the glass down triumphant of the battle. She accidentally shattered it across the table, "Gah, not again." She huffed, "Its fine. I make a new one." She reached about herself and removed a whole block from between fabric layers,

"I can without a doubt tell you that is indeed the Monarch of Nocturm. A human shell hiding a monster soul name eater inside." Twilight huffed to the grime, "I haven't a issue of her taking Darkwood back to the human world unharmed."

"I didnt hear that right." The grim shook, "You didnt say it. You didnt say it, did you?" Twilight was quiet done with the hassle from her best return patron. This grim is one the very few that brings more company.

"Eliza! Can you take this pair of idiot humans back over with you?" Twilight whines.

"Why not?" Putting a finished carved cup on the table, "Here a replacement. See you next time." The lads down their drinks and Omens has long finished his. Raven is choking on the complexity of the vapor and its feeling it makes him feel. Arthur is having to help Raven not walk into someone. Omens shielding the lads from the Darkwood.

"I will not be manhandled!" Hissing the drunk man.

"If you dont move along with us. I will drag you in three pieces." She used her not human voice. Putting all the shelter under tables. The Darkwood took that heed and busted through the doors quickly without her handling him.

"Until next time, with tea." Twilight voices as a human mimic best she can.

"Tots would love a cuppa." Leana pulled into instant British living English accent, "Ta ta." Twilight sighed at releif seeing them shuffle out the double doors.

Leana reverted back to a human shape, the last to leave. The shop space they left from was now empty, devoid of any signs of anyone using the space as anything. Just locked empty space. Raven is the frist to plaster himself to the windows looking into the empty room. Arthur steps shielding himself from his relatives gaze. Leana steps between putting herself at facing the Darkwood.

"Back away, little ender. This isn't your domain, nor is it mine. But it doesn't mean I can't eat you." Speaking as a spirit at the Darkwood. He backed off more and leaves. Looking back to see of she looked away. But she never stopped looking away, he was uneased. Trying to blend in with crowd, only to be freaked that she tracking him accurately. He plenty leaves.

"What are you children doing?" Someone of the church and is clearly a higher rank for Raven. Arthur is hiding from them too.

"Forgive me. I wanted to see the mall and have some tea. We got side tracked." Leana not only looked at this person directly without any shock of seeing they aren't just a human. She slide gave to the goddess vessel stood at their back. Leana made it plenty clear she scales the goddess for any threat and back to the church guy in that same detail, "Heaven seems to dropped a lot of wings around. What is low ranker cherubim of love playing human hosting for?" She then posed her hand at her mouth, "Oh, habits. So sorry. I can normally keep my thoughts to myself. Sorry."

"Are angels a threat to you?" The guy asked.

"Misunderstandings. For as much as angles mean well. Dragging people to paradise without checking status happens. Especially England." The guy nods getting that, "Lady of Love, I am so sorry for being so defensive. Your power has always brought me peace, forgive my heart." Speaking directly to her. The goddess raised a bow in surprise, "Maybe its because of my bonds, I know what love is. Thank you." The goddess smiles. She clearly forgave.

"Well that answers plenty of things I was going to ask." He tilts confused of Raven plastering the empty shop, "what's his deal?"

"I wish to purchase the shop floor space sometime. I was 9 about how I would have the layout. From the barrel of stone amulets and carved necklaces to the crystal panel displays with more expensive artifacts. He got really into it as I talked about my candles. I make flame colour candles, used to read demon curse documents without being cursed. When Omens said he love to see me carve some totem. I said I have it done already." All heads turned at her, "well actually I have a small scale one as a trial. If the pantheon approves, I will continue stacking carved head parts. I couldn't have a full sized tree in there." The church guy thinks deeply.

They stare of her needing to back away.

"Young master spending time with us. I do hope you learning plenty of the holy light."

"I am. I am learning a lot with Raven. In fact today we learnt that demons and angels can have fears. Just not the same as us. Oh and that grim reapers are just a job title and isn't actually a god per say."

"Well that's not what I had in mind but it's working." The church man huffed, "And you talked about her accommodation?"

"She accepted our offer." Raven swiftly right to linking arms with her, "She is going to earn with me. Lord Omens although is cautious of her has told me there good things in keeping close. She denounced wish to connect with both her families. Preferring being her own ranking. She out ranks me with sigil." The church man slides at her and she shily nods with a slight blush, "We both agree to help the young lord with understanding his people." She nods at this very quickly.

"Yes. Although intimidating all those folks in the ward about loosing the modern comforts they knew. He didnt take into account that half of them arent given choose. One fourth are to be forced as servants under the nobles in the guise of adopting estranged member." The young Arthur looked down about his actions and turly now reflecting on why she reacted differently. If she didnt play it off as some causal talk, it would have made some of those folks in more a deeper depression.

"Out of all those there, your the least stable. Taking those with so only slightly better off are in critical condition. To be taken to the only places that will save their lives." The church man realized what he wasn't trying to tell her was made obvious.

"I guess you didnt check all my names. Didn't dig past court tape." She huffed, "I am a Seer too. And if you dont know what that entails, then you can say I am double cursed."

The church man thinks about this, as he knows some Fallown name helping the mages. The Seers being why in the first place. Clearly a child of mistake and very much abandoned by both families. The goddess soon whispered some details, as gods know mortal things. Especially when its their concept powers. There is a sub part of the Fallowns that activity help Mages. While its good to be cautious of there is a whom community of cultist family named Fallown. Both cults are a hassle and the only good out of both are those that run away. Clearly Leana is a run away. There isn't public detail about these cults and the curse the are under. The Seers have been trouble a long time. Fallown has only really started circling with disgruntled oath hunters.

"In sheer interest of wondering how your not killing the humans around human." The goddess of love speaking directly to Leana, "You clearly know magic and have some abilities."

"I am a Tome keeper. Regulating abnormal energy is just part of what you must do with protection of such book." Leana softly voices, "I should not know, but I do actually use a lot of magic. I use it to minimize impact. I hide from even the sensitive of beings. I use my talents to be hidden." The goddess is satisfied for that answer and it made Omens fluster. Realizing Leana must have been protecting them in that bar by use of magic. That the bar was gone because she uses a casting to hide it or uncover it from hidden.

"One last interest," the goddess twirls around and lowered to eye level with Leana, "I am right that you are attached to him." A slide to Raven.

"Our souls traveled across tomes, I am here because of him. More accurately is that I have been protecting his soul name a very long time. Our home may have gone, but we linger to help the one that brought us here. He was the intent and I am the price. The krama." The goddess thinks it over, "If that is the him I know, as sometimes we all change crossing. I know he came here to help this tome from the trouble ahead. Send back in time to adjust among the population and to gear for the threat to this universe. Be it itself in some way or an outsider breaking the rules." The goddess stands back with noticing something.

"So the bond is special." The church love follower nods getting it, "I do hope you get along." He steps around Leana and pulls a litte threat stunt on Arthur. Th priest leans with whispers to Raven while his hands are slapped off by Arthur.

Whatever said unfazed Raven. Or if he reacted, it was muted. She stares about the empty shop in actually considering her words as the turth, removing a wood sliced of what will be a totem pole. Clearly thinking it over, but she wishes not to compete with Twilight. Thus many services she does normally like sycthe repairs and liquids trade are off the table. She hasn't any stock anyway. Her soul hasn't traveled this universe much. Befitting her Outsider status, a good reason why none of the walkers in there hassled or knew of her. In her origin tome, they avoided her for the mistakes she did and reputation. In the other tomes, she was searched out for her tome work consistently. Carving materials for the debte chamber of the gods without tinting the material - she misses that.

"We should actually talk about things." Raven steps around to her carving in her hands seeing it. He felt all the skill she made to smoothing and carving it, "Impressive." She puts it away carefully.

The tower is also a indoor shopping complex with many types of shops. Each is owned by noble mage titles with craft in a subject. A tile maker to a glass blower. There every hand made with a tint of magic about it. Techniques hidden from the rest of the world. Twilight's drinking bar was just a small wedge of what is hidden here. If you know the hidden, you will find their stands here.

"Tea. Right?" He nods and takes them to the cake shop on this floor. It's just them. Clearly everyone knows Raven and knows him well. They sigh sorry for the lass if she fell for him. He never dates anyone. They sit down, ice tea is poured quickly for both. Arthur sits away to the diner counter, his own ordered cake and drink - that sigh and shake like everyone else here. A plate of lemon at the side ready, it seems a local thing or a way to excuse embarrassment. Maybe they offer because of him.

"You are still stealing people's hearts unintentionally." She noted with taking a lemon and squeezing it to the tea. She soon sips it, "Anyway, what did I agree to?"

"You come live with me. I am currently training to work beside the royal family. You agreed to be a sort of house wife." She shurgs at that, "Clearly you handled Arthur well enough. You see gods like my lord and the lady of love. You have a habit of repairing broken furniture around you." He pointed to how the table of this café was also just now restored.

"My time scale is different. For the few moment we sat down. I have done a lot of things. Fallown are cursed with time. Every time a death god or goddess of life passes around me, I am joined to the time they interacting with this world. There are other races that can pause living realm time, and some are very dangerous. So if I am suddenly wounded for a little second and fine the next. Don't worry about it."

"Is that why your fallown folks die young?" Omens asked. Given the sort of place this is and it not so private as he thought it was. The locals looking at pity in thinking she believes this is some frist date. She stirs her drink continplating how much should be obvious of her abnormalities. The small things like removing gum from under the tables and repairing the vinyl surfaces was the less obvious things she able to do. There a sort of commotion in the kichten that everyone is soon distracted by and gives breather for them to stopped being watch like zoo animals.

"From how we will be, functionally we be like a married couple but without the love or deep ties. You need a house maid that can clean and cook. The appeal and appearance of a wife. Yet your not actively interested in me. You dont need me messing in royal business but to keep in mind the world of a royal. You will be away for long periods and yet you want no love affair scandals." Raven stares dazed in how on the nail that is, hitting where it hurts. He can only just nod in having accept that she knew already, in a creepy way.

"I am their spiritual go to." Raven added.

"And your OK with him being tied to with the royals shenanigans. Going back and forth to hell a lot for what seems no reasons." Checking with Omens.

"I get to see more of him." She rolls eyes.

"If you are crossing, sometimes take me with you. I have business over there. I can't leave my pets to kill the universe." She sips her tea and both omens and Raven turned pale, "On the other hand, of its the ender stuff. I am sure we will be lumped into some ordeal with outsiders. You most definitely want me there for outsiders. Especially Clothus." He reached over and bats her arm, "I meant it. You clearly dont remember the 6 law books and the command dictionary." He frowns a lot, "That realm is OK, if you are worried. The souls in that land are just themselves. Creeps like always." He tilted a little lost, "Joys of being the tome holder."

"If you do have such a book, you would have the compendium of this world." She tilts at him. The both of them straighten up as the distraction with the kitchen is over and there is an audience of mages.

"I will not go making any sort of love affairs or anything that scandalous. I have my own reputation to keep and you my find that it affects you. Being both Fallown and Seer comes with perks; whether these perks are help or hinder is yet to be seen. I will not play any games with mage royals and I haven't any interest but the bare minimum with noble mages. I have plenty enough with undertakers." He looked around at that with being afriad of that being heard, "You do realized that they already know about you and your life?" She sighed, "Your nickname is still in the active duty tome. Of which, your welcome." She glares a little but softened, "We can help each other. I have plenty to paperwork through." He really stares at her, "Now if you would excuse me. I have my stuff to do to move in. Including appeasing and sorting out my animals."

"Normal animals arent allow on the mage lands."

"And omens is normal?" She countered and he pout offended, "None of the other creatures of my book are." She off hand summons the book to her fingers. It floats above in flicking it own pages and making the very energy bend around it. She touched named of pets the book and got on with the chores of animal keeping. Left him with the finished tea, paid restaurant bill and confuse waitress looking how quick things are sorted.

"Raven got himself a pretend wife that actually means what she is." Teasing him and it now made him blush hard. That stunted even omens to look at him.

"You seriously like her?" Omen asking.

"Oh dear. But I dont think she returns the feeling Raven. No girl treats a guy that way if they love them." The waitress huffed, "She would rely on you to pay the cake bill or try to hold you hand. You know." He buried his face a little to try gain composure. The others across the cake shop too looked in shock.

"A least it proves his a healthy lad that thinks like the rest of them." The cook laughed and is smacked.

"Ghost wife, for sure." The next to he smacked.
