Kirei watched as Artoria Alter ate the food while he placed the weapons on the table. They included Black keys and guns, but they are inscribed in scriptures, the Black keys even more so which increased their power.
He had categorised then specifically for Carmilla and Atlanta, one for vampires, and another for beasts. While they might not be too effective against the servants, it would give him some edge. And as for the guns, there were two sniper rifles, four machine guns and six pistols, all specifically made to be stronger than the average ones.
The bullets have been engraved with scriptures to grant more power against spiritual beings and due to servants being spiritual, they would have greater effect on them, and no matter how miniscule, any form of distraction or advantage is welcomed by him.
"You are not supposed to use them on Servants. Not unless it's absolutely necessary, understand." Kirei said to Maria seriously.
"I will only then when necessary." Maria said with a nod.
"She will probably use them to impress you. I have seen the glint in her eyes." Artoria Alter said as she finished her food.
"Shut up!" Maria said as she glared at the Servant.
"Why did you even bring a child like her to Grail War, no matter how flawed it is?" Artoria Alter asked as she ignored the fuming girl.
"She would've followed me regardless. This way I can keep an eye on her." Kirei said to her calmly.
"I see. An apt decision. Considering how she is." Artoria Alter said as she looked at the girl.
"You don't have to tell me anything." Maria said as she gave a glare at the knight.
"Maria, behave." Kirei said as it shut her up.
He tried not to sigh at the fierceness of the girl when it comes to him. While yes, he did take her in, he honestly didn't expect her to turn out this way. He had thought that with careful upbringing she would turn out to the different than the one he knows about.
But he reminded himself that she is still a child and it would take time for her to change and become normal and he is more than willing to wait for that to happen. He decided to focus on the war at the moment instead of her as it is of more importance, especially due to the circumstances of the Grail.
"As for what I have managed to understand, Archer is the one to look out for. While Assassin might have an advantage over you due to her legend, you are capable of dodging her attacks and also attacking back. She is elusive if not anything else, due to her being able to change into blood. If suggest using a wide attack before she can escape." Kirei said to the woman.
"I can understand. That woman is weak, but she compensates for it with her tricks. Especially since she can turn into blood. What about the Archer?" Artoria Alter asked her Master.
"While I am not certain, considering her skills with the bow, her saying the name of the Greek God Hades, alongside the fact that she has cat ears and tail... I think she might be Atlanta, one of the Argonauts." Kirei said to them as he was glad that he was able to make a good narrative for her identity.
"Atlanta, isn't she the archer who was blessed by Artemis?" Maria asked at hearing that, quite calm despite learning about that.
"How renowned is she?" Artoria Alter asked in intrigue, as she knew that the servant had skill with the bow.
"She is one of the heroes of Greek myth, being part of the Argonauts, a group of heroes famous for accompanying the hero Jason for the Golden Fleece. She traveled alongside Heracles, Theseus, Ascelpius, and other famous heroes. It's fair to say that she is very strong, as you have seen." Kirei said to her seriously.
"Her skill with the bow is good, I'll admit. But she will ultimately fall by my hands." Artoria Alter said with absolute assurance.
"I do hope so." Maria said as she looked at the weapons.
Artoria Alter glared at the girl as she didn't react and just looked at the gun and the bullets as the saber Servant kept silent.
"Don't mind her. She is still a child." Kirei said to his Servant.
"Well, then you must make sure that she is obedient. She is your ward if nothing else." Artoria Alter said to him with a calm stare.
Kirei just nodded at her words as Maria bristled at the way the knight talked about her. She didn't like the knight, and her dislike for her has only increased with time.
Whether Artoria picked up on that or not, she didn't show it as she just drank the juice as she reclined on the seat.
"In any case, Saber, Archer and Assassin classes have been summoned. Only four of the others are left, which classes do you think will appear?" Artoria asked him as he sat there.
"Perhaps the other classes apart from the berserker class due to its instability. In any case, it's best to be cautious. We don't know how the Grail of this war will be." Kirei said to his Servant.
"I do hope that this Grail will work." Artoria said to them with a glare.
If it was anyone else then they would be intimidated by the glare, unfortunately for her the two in front of her right now aren't normal people in the slightest.
Her Master is a man who doesn't feel emotions like the normal man and can only find joy in the suffering of others, so he won't be intimidated by the glare of his Servant.
And Maria is a girl who doesn't feel emotions, and she had only started to do so only some time ago, and she doesn't like the Servant, so being glared at by said servant only made her feel more happy as she just ignored the Servant.
Artoria saw that the two are not affected by the glare she sent her way as he sighed quietly and just decided to just sit on the couch for the time being.
'I should've expected my master to be like me, but I didn't expect this brat to be the same.' Artoria thought to herself as she just observed them.
Maria checked the guns and practiced with reloading them while Kirei just watched to ensure that she didn't do anything wrong. While she does have experience with firearms, he doesn't want to be carefree around dangerous weapons.
Kirei made a short prayer as he watched her work with the guns as he hoped that he would be able to have his wish fulfilled, and even if the Grail did turn out of be useless, he could at least make sure that he would ensure its destruction so that innocents won't be harmed.
'Even when I am thinking about the good of other people, I can't feel it. I hate you, Kirei, but I can sympathize with you for your plight. But I won't turn out the way you did, not when I can help it.' Kirei thought to himself as he touched his cross and rubbed it.
